The problem with this recon is while its cool to include Donnie Cates work as part of the story, having wolverine be a wearer on the grendal in his past creates the issue of why his codex wasnt collected along with every other past symbiote user during Absolute Carnage. That story didnt account for him being a past symbiote wearer, not that he is it kind of creates a plot hole. If im not mistaken the Maker was also tracking down codex bearers in order to create his own suit. why would carnage or the maker over look a character as popular as wolverine? Unless wolverine was off world, it doesn't make any sense. Furthermore, the grendal offspring are fire resistant. They are able to withstand napalm, in the comic we have Dr. Cornelius using fire to purge the symbiote off of wolverine...you cant just cherry pick what you want from a writer work.
Well they could explain it as his healing factor burned out the codex replacing it with his usual DNA. Or that When Wolverine got turned into only Adamantium skeleton there was no Codex left and he regenerated from a Codex free skeleton. Him getting the Codex was also a time before the Multiverse collapsed and was rebuilt. So maybe thats why it doesnt count.
Honestly they could make any reasoning they want and we would just have to accept it.
Also i really like how Charles and Jean Grey is like "Give me a spray bottle and a sponge, i can fix all the time mistakes."
Time travel, especially with the x-men, has felt really bad. I didn't mind, at the start of hickman's run, with the explaination of Moria's abilities. That felt new, interesting and consequential.
Yeah I hate that Time Travel is such a big part of Mutant stories. Like im soooo tired of it. Only reason they do that is because they want to continue making remote larger than life stories without having to mix in with the rest of the Marvel Universe. All the possible futures for mutants make no sense with all the other Super powered heroes in the universe.
Like we got heroes who are gods and fight universal threats ALL THE TIME. single planet threats are really gonna cause issues to Cpt.Marvel, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Dr.Doom, etc. etc...
Time travel changes things either the results or when they happen . But the piece of the venom symbiote being found is a nice reference to the Cates run on venom . The lives and deaths of wolverine are a good review though short one of the character's publishing history.
Please cover Universe X and Paradise X. I loved the original Earth X story you covered and would love to see you cover it's sequels.

The act of traveling back in time in the first place changes time. The very moment that you exist in a place that you never existed you're changing the timeline. Your interactions with everyday people during that time line changes every one of their Fates even if it's by a little bit it could cause huge destructive changes to the timeline.
And while that makes sense. Wolverine has always been missing huge chunks of his life. And if he goes back into his body to do something then that thing has always been. There's been small things, but even those things could have always been and we just had the wrong information before. Times a fucky thing.
Thats the thing that confuses me about marvel as dont they have multiverse here sometimes based of different events happening in timelines. Or that whole moira mactaggart world reset stuff. Additionally who's to say its not one of those time travel was the original cause of xyz or a steins gate; / chrono trigger type thing where something was made to look like it happened one way but may have never did.
Indeed. So in essence and idea of a Time Cop is actually pointless, as when the cop travels back he'll just create another timeline again. So there will be one where he doesn't show up and one he does. You can never "fix" time, assuming it branches infinitely.

@@54m0h7 time cops have non-chronology meaning they exist outside of time and therefore cannot make branch realities only corrections. there are loops and paradoxical timelines caused by various events and splits which they correct as well. He never technically jumped through time just transferred his current consciousness with his pasts consciousness so while he can alter his lived through past events and the others therein, it would only alter the present day memories of those involved in being changed, and if physical change occurred in the past memory then it would be carried over...
I would pay to read Omega Red Vs Sabertooth. Just full out tearing into each other savagery, but highlighting what they bring to the table and how that contrasts.
Oh my the first opening scene Omega RED mark on Wolverines Forehead and he has a Venom symbiote. How powerful and vicious can he get? A Marvel terror, just terrorizing marvel villains- talk about a hardcore ferocious beast. Awesome RobCorps!

The particular’s of these events have changed but the outcomes have not. That’s the beauty of this story.

Thing is Marvel has already stated that Time Travel just creates a new Multiverse Number that fallows that path while the old one carries on. I know they like to keep ignoring this to tell stories, but its getting to be an issue. You cant keep telling us one thing while letting certain writers get away with it.
Is the Sabertooth series covering what was going on with him before he was confined to the depths of Krakoa or did he get out and is doing his thing?

Sabertooth is as savage as the times let the writters make him. In the 80s everything was extreme and full of pockets and so, Sabertooth was extreme too. Nowadays you can't write those stories anymore.

Great series, but what makes no sense is, if OR possesses someone, they automatically have his Carbonadium tendrils in their wrists? C'mon man, they missed me w/that. What I'd love to see is Victor & Arkady join the cause. Join Krakoa for real & take on Mikail's forces. I know everyone can't join reform & join Xavier & Magneto side, what's more compelling is villains turning good & joining Charles & Erik. Because when they took some villains & put them on X- teams [Gorgon, Empath, Greycrow e.t.c], that was groundbreaking & fresh, instead of the same old, same old. Our "merry mutants" have enough problems w/o having to worry about being attacked from within. With Red now dead, he can be resurrected & not need the carbonadium synthesizer. There's more than enough room to put Red & Sabretooth on teams to help us take on humanity when they come for us. Fact is, we're gonna need all the help we can get. As for Mikhail, I'm so done w/him. He's a hater to the nth degree, acting like he's freaking constipated. Someone needs to make the guy a cake & lace it w/ heavy doses of laxatives!
As a Doctor, I recommend killing Ras and splicing his powers into someone else, he went out of his way to terrorize the Xmen and they should return the favor.
