- Anne, Princess Royal was declared the hardest working royal last year. She has packed in more than 20 engagements over four days - without a single evening off. Anne has travelled almost 25,000 miles on commercial airlines in less than a week. She paid tribute to her late father, Prince Philip, on the one-year anniversary of his death. The royal visited stallholders to learn about the environmental challenges they face after droughts and floods. The Princess Royal visited an all-girls boarding school and the country's first cardiac diagnostic centre. She also met with village elders and laid a wreath at the Bomana War Cemetary. Many fans took to Instagram to express their thanks and gratitude for her visit.

Princess Anne's husband, who accompanied her on her tour, is also a very hard working member of the Royal Family. Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence retired from the Royal Navy in 2010, and now pursues many charitable interests. In 2004 he was appointed Asst Chief of the Defence Staff, and in 2007 Chief Executive of Defence Estates, before he retired. He is now Chairman of the English Heritage Trust (a charity which manages over 400 historic buildings and national monuments). Up until 2019 he was also Vice Chairman of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, so it was touching that Princess Anne and Sir Timothy attended the Bomana War Cemetery to lay a wreath on behalf of The Queen for the soldiers who died in WW2, when they visited Papua New Guinea.

HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne is a truly priceless Gem of the Royal Family. Her work ethic alone casts most of the RF in to the shade. Even at the age of 72, she is slender & fit & looks many years Younger. She has now been doing Royal Engagements on behalf of the Queen for 54 yrs as well as her Royal Appointments, she is also busy with her own Philanthropic work. She is definitely her fathers daughter, with a fuss free, no nonsense approach to life just as he had. She is Consistently one of the top Royals, who does the most Engagements each year, putting many younger Royals to shame. I always feel she doesn't get the same respect or recognition from the Press & online platforms, that the Men do. Frequently, on You tube as well, that her name comes up in only in a negative light, for example her Divorce & living a lavish life on the tax payer, which is definitely not the case. She lives in an estate, given to her when she married, both her Children & her ex husband have homes on the estate. She is still very much a player in the Equestrian world, although she doesn't ride herself. She hosts eventing at Gatcombe Park, is paid by The Queen for the bulk of her work & receives a small grant from the Taxpayer via the Sovereign's Grant. Besides which she is a wealthy woman in her own right, with inheritances from her Grand Mother & others. I have nothing but huge admiration for her as a Working Royal. a Mother & a person, her work ethic & willingness to do whatever she is asked to do, should see her better rewarded & appreciated than she currently is. God Bless her & all those close to her.

@@nunyabiznez6381 At the time she was born, the 21st century Accession to The Crown Act hadn't been passed, so if Charles had been born after her he would still have been heir to the throne. I don't think Princess Anne would want to be Queen.

The Princess Royal is noted for her swift engagements and back in the UK she will carry out 4 engagements a day. Vice Admiral Timothy Lawrence her husband also has to be swept along at her breakneck pace. They both represent HM The Queen every day and Anne is a credit to her parents. Well done Ma'am.

What a shame she isn't set to take the throne after her mother. She would be an awesome Queen and would be an infinitely better monarch than all of her brothers
Two things. I think she would hate the restrictions that come from being Queen. Also, look at who has taught Prince Charles to be a king. He will be very good if people give him the chance and give up their so often ill informed bias. He is very dedicated to the well being of the country. Remember that his personal charity has helped more than 5 million young people get a good start in life. Remember also that by his involvement in the restoration of Dumfries House, a town has been revitalised, there is new housing, new jobs and much more. I wouldn't criticise him in the town of New Cumnock.

The monarchy works by law of succession, Charles is the oldest of the Queen’s children and heir to the throne, he also works very hard for the monarchy.

I also never said anything about how much Charles works for the monarchy, but I believe Charles puts his interests before the monarchy. I don’t think Ann has ever done that.

I'm really impressed by the mint green suit HRH The Princess Royal Wore to the RNSW Agriculture Show. We are used to HRH The Princes Royal, in neat & tidy serviceable & sensible clothes for whatever Engagements, it's a rare treat to see her in an elegant ensemble. She isn't a fashion icon like Princess Diana, Catherine or Sophie & she certainly wouldn't have tried Camilla's floaty dresses complete with hats that were like Satellite Dishes & Anne had far too much taste to go with Henry's wife efforts. Anne had a unique style, that worked for her & always looked good in uniform. Her Evening gowns & Formal day Dresses suited her style, not too many, flounces, frills & bows, but she always had that natural elegance & confidence. How lovely she looks, ageing so gracefully & so self assured.
I think she may be a better head of state than her brother! God bless Princess Anne!!

Last year, my third wife also had 20 engagements in just 4 days as well... I was the 19th, but then the 20th suddenly died from unknown causes, so I lucked out...
The Princess Royal , is in my opinion, the next head of the Royal family. There was no thousands spent on attire , staying in ordinary accommodation, she has a sense of reality, which I don’t think comes with her brother Charles. Compared to William and Kate’s tour , Anne out shone them both .

The monarchy doesn’t work that way, Charles is the Queen’s first born and heir, He’s been groomed for the role all his life and also works very hard for the monarchy. As the Princess Royal, Anne will work with and support her brother when he is king.
