Explains why they're failing: Can't take advice or criticism and won't listen. That's the sucky part about customer service-heavy businesses they don't wanna hear: it's about the customers, NOT you. If you don't please the customers (or help them find something they like to keep them coming back), you don't have a business. So many of these owners have a fantasy in their heads about how it's supposed to work out, but reality hasn't played along.

I can never get over the bartender who has worked for 16 years that somehow has never put Gin, lime juice & simple in a glass & serve it to anyone ??? Gimlet is truly one of the simplest drinks to recall 😭🤣
Bar Rescue and Kitchen Nightmares really shows there's grown adults out there who have zero skills to heal from hurt feelings or absorb critiques, and they will refuse to take accountability and will make it everyone else's problem
I personally don’t like the idea of a lettuce taco however I think they can still have it on and leave it to see how customers think and have it as a sort of substitute thing
A lot of places I know would kill for that. In my state those would make a killing. All the health freaks out there and made up food allergies. It's a money maker for the right place and they do have them at different restaurants. Just, not sure it is fit for a bar.
Offer it as a vegan option or an alternative. Let the customer decide! They're the one eating it so why not just offer it to them and let them decide!

I tried a lettuce wrap with my wife the other day. It was delicious! Lettuce is a great wrap for hot ingredients and has a great crunch!
It’s elote off the cob so if they really didn’t like the lettuce just grab a spoon and eat just the corn 😂 I think it’s nice to have options just in case all different kinds of people come in. So everybody can get something!

How is he wrong with calling out the lettuce taco? He's not even saying it tastes bad, but just doesn't want it on his menu. Honestly, these shows, rather than giving them a completely new dish they wouldn't know about, they should ask the chefs what kind of food they want to serve, and the ones helping present it better cooked and prepared, with maybe a few changes to it.

I bartended for several years and i havent heard of half the drinks they try to call them popular.
Elisa had lemon face right off the bat. Dang I am no barkeep but every once in a while I was called out of the kitchen due to a bartender not showing up and at least knew how to make the classic drinks. No disrespect but the female bar tenders just get by with the looks.

These guys always use the excuse, “our customers like them.” Here’s the problem, the only customers that like them are minute customers you have! You have four people who like your shit food instead of putting in systems that will make lot of people like them.
This is one of those time quantity(customers), matters more than “quality”
Most of these owners don't want Jon's help, don't appreciate his help, and won't change their ways. Why does Jon keep forcing his help on to them? None of these owners deserve success.

Women can make ANYTHING seem sexist, just so she can get everybody can look down on any man telling a truth about women in America. HOWEVER, It's a very clever business strategy, since typically women spend more money than men do. Women contribute 86-95% of consumer spending.

@@KaaneDragonShinobi Gordon Ramsay never uses a second opinion when it comes to KN or even HH, Jon Taffer slammed him for being inefficient at one point and he's right, the reason why GR has only 20% success rate in both KN and HH is because of his inefficient ways of doing the whole thing, like tasting the food himself before going in the walk-in (that's why GR had bathroom issues and often went to the hospital to get treated for his stomach ulcers).
He may not say it, but his attitude says it all, especially when he insults others and then goes "unbelievable" when he gets insulted back.
