@@MrBlipman im not entirely sure. Because I’ve seen clips of the stress test with that same bar and I didn’t see the manager (girl who started the fight) there.

Probably the saddest part about the O Face situation was Cerissa(the victim) was fired, not the manager who beat up on her.

Many people have marked the bar as closed since the bar is very controversial and most of the reviews regarding it are not authentic, they are usually from fans who watched the show. But the general consensus from the seemingly authentic reviews is the bar has horrible service, bad crowd, and some other issues.

It always amazes me how people call Jon, begging for his help, then when he arrives they argue with him and don’t take his advice. Why do you call the expert if you won’t take the advice that will SAVE. YOUR. BUSINESS!?!?
A lot of the time it is a relative, employee, or friend of the owner who makes the calls. But with the O'Face situation that was a whole different ball game.

i felt so bad for the manager. It was a great bar after the makeover with cocktails and food and they were passionate to keep it going. Then Terry the owner sucked out all the money, got rid of the cocktails (needs ingredients so expensive) and the food (see previous answer) and the sports TVS (needs power and subscriptions so expensive) and made it back into a bikini and shots bar. It went down the tubes so hard ... all because of the owner

Why do employees stick up for and lie for these bad owners
Fear of losing their jobs after Jon leaves
They could have been sleeping with each other
Or family members that wanna protect each other.
In the case of O-Face, Cerissa (the girl who got assaulted) and Syk (the security guard) were quite literally the ONLY decent people in that entire bar.
Either fear or Stockholm syndrome
Between O-Face and Hideaway, they deserve to lose their business for lacking proper business ethics and control.
The former just wanted a personal playground. Nothing more.

I went to Google Maps and it says that the Hideaway bar is permanently closed, and they truly deserve to go out of business, and now it's some Indian restaurant

He was, but if there is one thing that he will not tolerate is being disrespected. The bartenders lied about their owner not being the town drunk and then say that Jon was a liar. He made sure he had those receipts and looked them all in the face to prove his point and then left.
when i watch the ending of the hideaway bar the owner just acts like it's no big deal he found out the hard way that john doesn't bluff when he says he'll walk out
He was you have to get to the root of the problem which in most of the cases is the owner. If you were in his shoes would you want to pour $100k+ of your money to fix a problem when you have an owner who is just going to drink it away second base is the perfect example he turned it around made it successful but a bad owner let it go to hell because he was greedy and didn't care

After Jon permanently walked out on those losers, they fired Cerissa (I can't remember how that's spelled) and rehired Amanda. Those people were so disgusting that it was Jon's first ever refusal to rescue a bar in 30 years. Only Cerissa and Syk the security guard were decent people.

alcohol is one of thee most destructive drugs. the fact that it isn't regulated at a level where other drugs like it are, really tells you how much power the alcohol lobby has.
majority of the people were in a shit hole of a situation and booze was spade that helped them dig that hole. and as much as i loved the absolute bat shit craziness, i really and truly hope they've had even a small realisation that they too deserve to thrive.
the need to self-medicate because you think you need to feel numb, that you don't deserve forgiveness, or that you deserve the shame and guilt is robbing you of your inalienable right to life and self-determination.
Most people can handle it. No reason to deprive them cuz of a few bad apples.

@sora6748 Here's the way I look at it. Their business is failing. They called in jon taffer to help them out so their bar doesn't close down. If I were in that owner's position, I wouldn't be messing around at all. Would let Jon taffer get to the root of the problem so I can quickly turn my failing business into a successful business. The first step to recovery is admitting you've got a problem. That owner's biggest problem was getting drunk on the job. Instead of letting Jon taffer help him with his problem, he kept trying to hide his problem. And even worse, the other employees were trying to help the owner hide his problem. If those employees think that enabling the owner to continue to get drunk on the job is more important than focusing on the success of their business, then they deserve to fail. Jon taffer gave that man an ultimatum, be a drunk failure or be a successful bar owner. That owner chose to be a failure by trying to hide his problem with drinking on the job and that's why Jon taffer walked out.

I am an alcoholic and the last one was painful to watch. Those women defending him aren't helping him they are enabling him. Turning a blind eye to it is killing him. People making the reviews wouldn't lie about that.
I had an uncle who was from the Vietnam war, and from his trauma he drank and was a good man but couldn’t get over what happened, he passed away and was in diapers for a later part of his life, I miss him dearly and it hurts how they can allow that man to live with himself especially when he could kill someone as being drunk behind the wheel causes more damage and harm to the other people on the road, but they don’t care or only want an easy job and are able to take money from him without him knowing as the “town drunk” he couldn’t tell his feet from his head

Note that while Jon DID return to O Face because they fired Amanda, he later left again and for good because of just how disgusting those people were. The only decent people at that ENTIRE BAR were Cerissa, the girl who got assaulted, and Syk, the security guard. According to the title card at the end of that episode, once Jon was gone, those freaks fired Cerissa and rehired Amanda.

When the bartender says it's not my place. To me she's just enabling the man's further decline financially in health wise. I've seen what alcoholism do to people and she and the rest of the staff are a bunch of idiots. If I was there I would like yes he has a severe alcohol problem because when someone that you know and love is dealing with benediction for in this case alcohol you help them not let them drown

After all, as a working man I can say that people in general are and act very differently while on the job and on free time, especially if they're in something like customer service business. Whether you're normally kinda grumpy (or in Jon's case nice guy when not on camera) or naturally nice or anything in between, you have to put your best and most accommodating face and personality on since customer is the king.
Hideaway went to the corner of f*** around and find out and they missed the bus and now pleased to say they are out of business
When Jon asks you a question, he already knows the answer. There is ZERO reason to lie to him. That last bar deserves to fail.
When Jon said this is the third bar he walked out on, that's actually not necessarily true, it's the fourth. First was O'face. Second was the second visit to Second Base. Third was Black Light District. You could augue that it's technically fifth if you include The Dugout, but the walk out happened after the changes and remodeling was made and thus too late to take it back.
