What about DLCs depending on Alcedor's fate? If he fled after seeing a zombie he can return to the crusades and either fight for Christians or side with the Saracins. The question is that will there be any fantasy elements. If he dies (be it a martyr's death or a redeemed one's), then a new hero tries to get rid of the cult. He can either destroy it or become a cultist (or even a dark lord). If he became a dark lord in the base game, a new hero can either overthrow him, beat Baphomet and burn the Necronomicon or become the next dark lord. If Alcedor beats Baphomet, he can continue his journey, defeating the rest of the monsters.

For example, destroying the whole Upel with an earthquake or a hurricane? Or summon a bigger familiar like a gargoyle, a giant bat or even a dragon? Or make demons possess people in order to bring chaos to his opponents? Nevertheless, a new hero will come. He can either beat ..., enter the underworld and defeat Baphomet, or join the renovated cult and become ...'s apprentice. Or even become the next dark lord.

I really wish more games handled morality paths like this, changing up everything should you be evil or heroic enough.
