freeze shock actually makes perfect sense.
the electrical resistance of any given medium is proportional to that mediums temperature, cooling a thing reduces electrical resistance, therefore making the energy transfer more efficient.
you also forgot to mention that hail gives blizzard perfect accuracy, which explains why it's regular accuracy is low.
if you use blizzard normally, the user has to generate the snow and then shoot it at the enemy, giving them a chance to dodge, if hail is in effect, there is ice in the air everywhere, there is no dodging that.

@windhelmguard It doesn't actually make sense since the water molecules in ice are in fixed positions, so they can't move around in the medium to transmit electrical energy

But can we talk about how aurorus can’t learn Aurora veil?

IKR? Aurorus is probably the most creative of the fossils since it is more than just the animal (although I guess bastiodon has castle design and tyrantrum has king design elements) but this is how it gets treated? It is such a cool (pun intended) concept to make an amargasaurus with aurora sails but it can't even use its sails. It also can't learn power gem, and as a special attacking rock type with gems on its body... And yeah kyurem should learn ice punch, it would be hilarious to see it flailing its itty bitty arms around LOL.

    New Ice Type Moves -
Ice Over (Special): A bitter cold engulfs the target, trapping it and dealing further damage for four to five Turns. The target cannot Escape during this time. The Additional Damage increases during Hail.
Flurry (Special): A weak but fast-moving flurry of snow and ice that damages foes. This Move always goes First.
Snowman (Status): The user builds a snowy copy of itself using its own HP to take Damage for it. An Ice Type user does not Lose HP constructing it, and the copy fades after a Turn in Bright Sunlight. Its Chance of Failing increases if used in Succession.
Ice Chip (Status): The user absorbs ice to restore its own HP, the Amount varying depending on the Weather and Terrain (50% Maximum HP ordinarily; 66% in Snow or on Icy Terrain).
Freezer Burn (Special): The user exhales a gasp of bitingly frigid air at its target. This may also leave the target with a Burn (30%).
Deep Freeze (Special): The user envelops its targets in a bitter, biting cold that intensifies over time, with the likelihood of the targets Freezing increasing with each Consecutive Use (starts at 5%, Doubles each time). Fire Type Moves will not be able to Thaw Out foes Frozen by this Move.
Glacial Flow (Special): The user releases a flow of meltwater upon its targets. This move is Ice and Water Type simultaneously.
Flash Freeze (Special): The user exhales a short but frigid breath of air on its target, freezing the air and Ground around it. The Ice left underfoot may raise the user's Speed Stat (50%, one Stage).
Frost Shield (Status): The user chills the air around it to protect itself. Allies take Damage from Water Type Moves as if the Moves were Ice Type, and it Freezes any Pokémon that makes contact with it.
Sled Rush (Physical): The user slides on its belly at high speed to smash into its target. The impact may Paralyze the target (20%) and the momentum from the Move may raise the user's Speed Stat (one Stage, 20%).
Glacial Impact (Physical): The user first builds up snow and ice, and then it Attacks the target. Making Direct Contact with the Pokémon while it's gathering snow results in Freezing.
Frost Quake (Special): The user releases air so cold, it causes the Ground beneath its targets to crack. This move is Ice and Ground Type simultaneously.
Snow Blind (Special): The user lets loose a flow of brightly shining snow, blinding the target and Lowering its Accuracy (one Stage).
Frost Kick (Physical): The user launches a kick that lands a Critical Hit more easily. This may also leave the target Frozen (10%).
Snow Fort (Status): The user builds a wall of snow around itself and its Allies, Doubling their Defense and Special Defense until a Fire Type Move is used.
Snow Globe (Special): The user surrounds its target with swirling snow, possibly Flinching the foe (10%) and also causing Snow to Fall on the Battlefield for the next five Turns.
Cold Front (Special): The user attacks by exhaling frigid breath on the opposing Pokémon. This may also leave those Pokémon Frozen (10%).
Cold Shoulder (Special): The user ignores its target, chilling it to the bone. This also leaves the target Frozen.
Ice Age (Special): The user attacks by engulfing the target in a vortex of snow, ice, and freezing winds. This leaves the target Frozen.
Cool Down (Status): A frigid blast of air is expelled, Freezing the opponent where they stand.
Icicle Trap (Status): The user lays a trap of floating ice shards around the opponent's Team. The Trap hurts opponents that Switch into Battle. (Affected by Thick Fat)
Freezing Point (Status): The user chills the air around the target just enough to turn all of its Water Type Moves into Ice Type Moves.
Hypothermia (Status): The user engulfs the foe in a mix of ice and frigid water. It will either Confuse the foe, Freeze it, or cause it to Flinch. It cannot Miss during a Snowstorm.
Freeze Horn (Physical): The user slashes at its target with a mighty horn of ice. It has a High Critical Hit Ratio, and the opponent may be left Frozen (20%).
Icy Terrain (Status): The user covers the ground under everyone's feet with ice for five Turns. This Boosts the Speed of all Pokémon on the Ground (one Stage), especially Ice Types (two Stages), but also lowers the Accuracy of all Pokémon but Ice Types (one Stage).
Black Ice (Status): The user lays a slick of dark, hard-to-see ice at the feet of its opponents. It will randomly Lower their Accuracy one Stage sometimes when they use Direct Attacks.
Snowball Fight (Special): The user begins a snowball fight against its opponent, lobbing snowballs between two and five times in a row. During a Snowstorm, it will always hit five times.
Figure Eight (Physical): The user skates towards its target at high speed on frozen claws or blades to strike. This move always lands a Critical Hit on Icy Terrain.
Snow Dance (Status): The user twirls in an elegant dance like snowflakes on the wind to Boost its Special Attack and Speed Stats (one Stage each). They will sharply increase during a Snowstorm (two Stages each).

Winter Storm (Special): The user whips up a fierce winter storm to Buffet everything around it. This may also leave those Hit Frozen (10%).
Shiver (Status): The user shivers intensely to pass a chill onto the target and Freeze it on the next Turn.
Cold Snap (Status): The Battlefield suddenly becomes intensely cold, turning all Water Type Moves into Ice Type Moves for three Turns. This Move will fail if there is a Fire Type on the Battlefield or the Weather is Sunny, however.
Snowboarding (Physical): The user slides across the icy ground to deliver a bodycheck to its target, possibly Paralyzing it (30%). This Move always goes first on Icy Terrain.
Endothermic Influx (Special): The user draws in all of the warmth around it to turn the air around its target into a frigid weapon, possibly leaving it Frozen (10%). This also Reduces the Damage of the next Fire or Grass Type Move to hit it.
Arrows of Winter (Special): The user blasts its target with a salvo of arrows of frigid winter air. Critical Hits land more easily, and this Attack will always result in a Critical Hit when used against a Frozen target.
Meltwater (Special): A flow of frigid slush and water buffets everything around the user, possibly leaving those Hit Frozen (10%). This Move is Super Effective on Fire Types.
Polar Spear (Physical): The user strikes its target with a mighty spear of ice, Dealing Super Effective Damage to Water Types. Critical Hits land more easily.
Frigid Fangs (Physical): The user slides its frigid gaping maw into the target. If the user Attacks before the target, the Power of this Move is Doubled.

My best guess as to why Blizzard has low accuracy has to do with the idea that the Pokemon just 'fails' to summon one at all. Since it's so powerful, it can't always be kicked up successfully.
Unless it's hailing, in which the weather helps with the move, thus making it 100% accuracy.

It's not "basically as if", it's actually just that.
0° Kelvin (Absolute Zero) is so cold, atoms barely move if at all anymore.
Temperature after all is just slower or faster movement of atoms.

    • @propheinx2250
      @propheinx2250 5 лет назад +1

The universe is extremely vast. It is possible, although unlikely, that something won't cease all molecular movement when subjected to absolute zero. There's just too much in our universe for any human bound to earth to know with absolute certainty what temperature will completely stop all molecular movement. So basically is actually correct.

    • @asherdevin
      @asherdevin 5 лет назад

I heard in school that at absolute zero, everything becomes a liquid. I guess maybe that since the atoms can't connect to each other at that temperature, everything falls apart at the molecular level?

another way ice burn could possibly work:
kyurem launches the heat from its tail and heats up the opponent just enough to cause a small burn, then he launches the frigid substance or air, causing the opponent to be damaged a lot more. the reason it is still ice is that it's mostly cold air and whatever kyurem uses to freeze it's opponents, meaning they are still cold.
