    Kobe from 2006-2010 was literally unreal. He was hitting shots people dream of on a consistent basis. Plus what he did in the playoffs was surreal. People usually say young Kobe was his prime, but I think 06'-10' was his prime.

      the Pau trade really brought wonders for the Lakers. Pau is a great guy who understands Kobe unlike Howard who's salty when being reprimanded to keep the painted area clear.

    There will be nobody that can come close to the presence to MJ besides Kobe. There will be nobody that loves the game as much as MJ did. Kobe is truly the last breed of old schools in the NBA. Once he is gone, NBA is never the same. Even though MJ left, we were lucky to have already an upcoming star as in Kobe. All we have left is KD... Hopefully in the future, there will be someone to fill that role of being the next big thing like Kobe and MJ. Oh how I miss those days when Kobe use to dominate the 2000s...

    Kobe does take a lot of shots, but how many players can do that on a team and get 5 championships? Yeah only other champions in the past such as MJ. When you see greatness, just enjoy your time watching him on the court and get mesmerized by his amazing plays. Even if LeBron or KD is the top players right now, I don't really feel they are that amazing. Maybe it's their lack of style points. Kobe just has so many moves to go to.

    Kobe my fave player ever watching these videos bring back memories. Kobe is creative in scoring he makes most player in the NBA looks like rock because he played so unique. Derrick rose is one of the few players that would make me watch the NBA if Kobe retires. it must take a whole leap of practice to be creative on the ball court kobe makes it look easy often times he would shoot over 2 or more defenders as someone who watch basketball for entertainment I would recommend watching Kobe play Derrick rose also who els Dirk love he fade away. Durant lebron the are talented but does not look so good scoring. Durant and lebron are supposed to be great the are gifted in how there body are built. Kobe is not 6'10 his head can't look over defenders so when he scores over defenders it look that much more amazing. Not taking anything away from other NBA superstar but Kobe skill set is unique.

      17.8pts 7.2rebs 6.8ast
      17.8 points!!!!! Third in scoring to Bosh 18.5pts

      Kobe put up 15.6pts on a bumb ankle. He closed out game 4 (after Shaq fouled out) against a 50 greatest ever player ( Reggie Miller) on the road, and later help snatch a ring on that same BUMB ANKLE
      That's greatness. It could have been an excuse many would understand and give a pass to, nope it was fuel. That G.O.A.T ish to me

    • @sherwinabegania2236
      @sherwinabegania2236 10 лет назад

      David Fischer Kobe took difficult shots and made some amazing ones but the fact is that he wasnt forced to take difficult shots. Kobe doesnt play as smart as MJ or nearly as good defense. How many times has Kobe even blocked a shot?! How many of Kobe's high scoring games came agaisnt teams that were good defensive teams?! 81 pts vs 27th ranked Raptors out of 29 teams. Or the 62 pts on 3 quarters vs the run and gun Mavericks (known for not being a defensive team).
      And MJ's shots were difficult. Basketball players know that the fade away jump shot with at least a hand in your face isnt an easy one to make. MJ jsut mastered that move and made it look easy.
      Kobe definitely has skills, but his ego gets in the way of his game at times. Kobe thinks he was the guy that won his first 3 rings, but Phil Jackson has even said that Shaq was the reason they got past many teams in the West as is the focal point of their offense.
      Just because you make difficult shots doesnt make you a smart basketball player. I remember Kobe being benched by Phil because of ill advised shots in their first 3peat. Then people seem to forget that the NBA today is fast paced basketball without real physical defense, where the majority of teams rely on transition basketball and cant score in the half court. Lakers were one team that could score in the half court set before Phil left & Kobe injury, Spurs was the other. Imagine if there were real Cs and Pfs in the game today that could actually foul you hard. How many times has Kobe been knocked to the ground when fouled?!
      People should be a fan of the game before being a fan of a player.

    • @sherwinabegania2236
      @sherwinabegania2236 10 лет назад

      Let's look at it from this perspective! How many Hall of Famers/current All Stars consider MJ the greatest?! Kobe, Mcgrady, Isiah Thomas, Lebron, Wade, K Malone, Dominique Wilkins, Magic, Bird, CP3, Melo, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, D Robinson, Duncan, Olajuwon, Horry, Iverson, Drexler, Barkley, Payton, Kemp, V Carter, Stackhouse, Dennis Rodman, Mutumbo, Pippen, D Rose, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, Mourning, Amare, Melo, Phil Jackson, etc... Some of which didnt even like MJ (Isiah Thomas & Reggie Miller)
      Now who says Kobe is the greatest: Kobe fans who aren't Hall of Famers.
      Hmm...who should people believe?! Hall of Famers/great NBA All Stars (some of which didnt like MJ) vs Kobe fanatics (who carry a lot of favoritism) oh and Mark Jackson votes for Kobe
      Who are other players considered by other HOFs to be the GOAT?! Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Bird and Magic have been nominated by other great NBA HOF players.
      BTW, a lot of these HOFs say this without gaining anything from saying it or promoting a retired player. The Lakers organization signed Kobe up these last 2 years to make money from Kobe selling seats but that didnt happen due to his injury. It might actually make the Lakers organization suffer for quite a while since their $$$ is locked up in a soon to retire & injured player that they cant even trade.

    This is what i think about this Kobe stealing Jordons moves. Let`s compare it too a child, he or she is going to copy things that see that`s how they learn and it becomes part of there skill set. To copy is one thing to pull them off is another, it`s not just Jordon he would have learned from, it`s many others. But still Kobe`s got his own identity even with all these skills he has.

    Lebron is a better passer, rebounder,blocker, and gets more steals so hes a better defender than bryant. Kobe is more clutch and can shoot better. However its clear lebron is better kobe has never shot over like 48%.lebrons smart makes his players better and is a leader if you brings rings into it kobe won 3 with shaq.

    • @bankaidouglas1
      @bankaidouglas1 10 лет назад +1

    • @DaRealMaverick
      @DaRealMaverick 10 лет назад +4

      LeBron never shot 48% because he shoots far closer to the rim. Same reason Centers have high shooting percentages. Shaq averaged higher than 50%, is he a better shooter?? I'll give you LeBron is a better passer, but that is factored into their game plan (a large portion of his assists were fast breaks, Ray Charles could get assists with that). Kobe played in the Triangle Offense the majority of his career which calls for everybody to be the passer in their formation, which is why they never acquired high lvl point guards. Everyone averaged around the same amount of assists, with Kobe leading the team a lot of the time. It's the same reason Chicago didn't need great point guards and Jordan averaged low assists.

    • @DaRealMaverick
      @DaRealMaverick 10 лет назад

      LeBron ZERO rings with Shaq, LeBron Bronze Medal without Kobe, and Lebron 2 and 3 in the finals. Finishing with 2 Wins and 2 Losses on basically an All-Star Team. It's a little easy to get assists when passing to Wade, Ray Allen, and Bosh. It's also pretty easy to get to the rim when teams can't double team you because they are busy covering the other All-Stars on the team. Not saying LeBron isn't a great player, but he does have it easier. I mean he basically formed another All-Star Team in Cleveland. None of the Current or Future Hall of Famers ever had it that easy.

    • @mcoeif
      @mcoeif 11 лет назад +1

      Shaq did not win anything until PHIL JACKSON came to LA. It's not like Kobe was a difference maker when he came into the league. You could have replaced Kobe with Iverson or TMac and Shaq would still get those 3 rings. Shaq was the focal point of the triangle and defenses were designed to stop him not Kobe.
      And please, last time I checked Lebron was the 2 time Finals MVP not Wade. Bron had to literally carry the Heat in their 2nd title run with an injured Wade and an ineffective Bosh. Kobe never had that kind of playoff dominance as he had always to rely on Shaq's inside presence to free himself up from defenders and Bynum/Gasol's superb rebounding to clean up his bricks from his 35 FG% shooting.

A game winner against the Phoenix Suns? Lol which happend in the 1st round!? In which Kobe would eventually choke away the series. Your dumb.. having a great wing player in wade, and a mobile center like bosh, and a spot up three point shooter in allen, no shit lebrons stats are going to be ridicules. he's a great athlete, who has the luxury of offense minded teammates who you can't leave to double lebron. Dig a little deeper into basketball stats before you start riding nuts bro. doesn't even matter anyway, Jordans the best, kobe an lebron are competing for 2nd.

      UnderstandMeNow Son Listen to what I'm saying. I am a fan of neither players, Im a fan of basketball, Kobe isn't above lebron in any way except his bigger arsenal of skills he can use, and his championships. Lebron is no doubt a dominating force never seen before, its like comparing batman to superman, and in my opinion, its more entertaining to watch batman, because he's like me or you, human. Lebron you can make a case for not being human, my first instinct is he's on steroids, but I know thats not true.
      BUT NEITHER HAS CARRIED A TEAM, they all had great players to lift them over the hump (gasol, shaq) (wade, bosh) but kobe did it with a different roster, he's a little more tested. Lebron can overtake kobe one day for legacy bragging rights, but not yet!! thats my point!
      But to answer your question, the orlando series he dominated, go watch the highlights, those are moves and technical skill lebron will never match. But to be fair, there was some athleticism lebron has shown, no one will probably ever match since jordan.

    • @understandmenowson7676
      @understandmenowson7676 11 лет назад

      ***** Kobe Bryant managed to shot jack his way to 30ppg in that series, while shooting 43% percent from the field, that doesn't seem like a very good series. Especially when compared to Gasol's 16ppg while shooting 60% percent. Of course Kobe unfairly won mvp of the series. Btw why do you keep mentioning Lebron? Since you want to talk about him though, Lebron did MUCH more carrying in his final victories than Kobe EVER did. I'm debating, like I said in my first comment, that Kobe's career is WAY OVERRATED. Does he deserve the hof? Yes! just not a first balloter like he'll be voted in. And the fact that Kobe is compared in the same sentence as Air Jordan is not only false, but disrespectful to the goat.

    • @jakedodsonjake
      @jakedodsonjake 11 лет назад +12

      when anyone is trying to diss kobe's stats its usually because they are lebron fans and kobe haters, youtube is filled with these kids.
      Before you compare kobe's stats look at the shots he was taking in that series, and it doesn't even matter because kobe dominated that series even if he was below 50%. Everyone knows almost all of lebron's shots are near or around the paint, so comparing there skill is not even fair, kobe is more skilled technically, lebron is just physically gifted.
      but jordan is the best i agree, but kobe still has better moves, better moves than anyone whose ever played, because he's taken something from every great and mixed it together with unrivaled footwork, but he's still not the best, jordan is.

    Kobe honestly is one of the toughest NBA player of his times, his footwork comes from his skills by playing soccer not only basketball, the way he is able to space himself to make the shot is uncredible, also he's 6ft6, 205 pounds but hes guarding players that are some times ever larger then him and still gets past, Kobe could have been retired and still be called the greatest laker, after all the lakers are the best franchise due to the amount of legends, and three peats we've had, Kobes returning soon cant wait, Kobe Bryant average is 25.5 ppg 5.0 assist 5.0 rebound, statistically he hasn't declined in any way yet people say father time will halt his expansion, whoever thinks kobes gonna choke is a hater cause they themselves would be devastated when kobe shoots from 14 ft away in their face; lebrons a choke, will never get more than 3 rings, and Kobe is just funner to watch then LeBron cause kobe is a better shooter which gets crowds excited.... anyways #Lakers for life and #Kobe and if u tight then "numbers don't lie check the scoreboard" jigga
