He closed out game 4 (after Shaq fouled out) against a 50 greatest ever player ( Reggie Miller) on the road, and later help snatch a ring on that same BUMB ANKLE That's greatness. It could have been an excuse many would understand and give a pass to, nope it was fuel. That G.O.A.T ish to me The league set the table for Bron, and he left to much on that table
The thing that makes Kobe so good. All the contested shots usually go in. Jordan just flew by them. If Jordan couldn't. Then he wouldn't score. Kobe still makes it
David Fischer Kobe took difficult shots and made some amazing ones but the fact is that he wasnt forced to take difficult shots. Kobe doesnt play as smart as MJ or nearly as good defense. How many times has Kobe even blocked a shot?! How many of Kobe's high scoring games came agaisnt teams that were good defensive teams?! 81 pts vs 27th ranked Raptors out of 29 teams. Or the 62 pts on 3 quarters vs the run and gun Mavericks (known for not being a defensive team). And MJ's shots were difficult. Basketball players know that the fade away jump shot with at least a hand in your face isnt an easy one to make. MJ jsut mastered that move and made it look easy. Kobe definitely has skills, but his ego gets in the way of his game at times. Kobe thinks he was the guy that won his first 3 rings, but Phil Jackson has even said that Shaq was the reason they got past many teams in the West as is the focal point of their offense. Just because you make difficult shots doesnt make you a smart basketball player. I remember Kobe being benched by Phil because of ill advised shots in their first 3peat. Then people seem to forget that the NBA today is fast paced basketball without real physical defense, where the majority of teams rely on transition basketball and cant score in the half court. Lakers were one team that could score in the half court set before Phil left & Kobe injury, Spurs was the other. Imagine if there were real Cs and Pfs in the game today that could actually foul you hard. How many times has Kobe been knocked to the ground when fouled?! People should be a fan of the game before being a fan of a player.
Let's look at it from this perspective! How many Hall of Famers/current All Stars consider MJ the greatest?! Kobe, Mcgrady, Isiah Thomas, Lebron, Wade, K Malone, Dominique Wilkins, Magic, Bird, CP3, Melo, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, D Robinson, Duncan, Olajuwon, Horry, Iverson, Drexler, Barkley, Payton, Kemp, V Carter, Stackhouse, Dennis Rodman, Mutumbo, Pippen, D Rose, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, Mourning, Amare, Melo, Phil Jackson, etc... Some of which didnt even like MJ (Isiah Thomas & Reggie Miller) Now who says Kobe is the greatest: Kobe fans who aren't Hall of Famers. Hmm...who should people believe?! Hall of Famers/great NBA All Stars (some of which didnt like MJ) vs Kobe fanatics (who carry a lot of favoritism) oh and Mark Jackson votes for Kobe Who are other players considered by other HOFs to be the GOAT?! Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Bird and Magic have been nominated by other great NBA HOF players. BTW, a lot of these HOFs say this without gaining anything from saying it or promoting a retired player. The Lakers organization signed Kobe up these last 2 years to make money from Kobe selling seats but that didnt happen due to his injury. It might actually make the Lakers organization suffer for quite a while since their $$$ is locked up in a soon to retire & injured player that they cant even trade.
Sherwin Abegania Exactly, BUT you can't say that Kobe sucks. He in his prime was better than LeBron in his prime- yes I said it and I am not crazy- And Kobe is easily in the top 5 ever to play the game. P.S. I'm not crazy and I know a lot about basketball.
This makes me bummed to know that after watching him for 18 years. When he retires its going to be a solemn day. Don't care who you are a fan of, the way Kobe plays is remarkable.
This is what i think about this Kobe stealing Jordons moves. Let`s compare it too a child, he or she is going to copy things that see that`s how they learn and it becomes part of there skill set. To copy is one thing to pull them off is another, it`s not just Jordon he would have learned from, it`s many others. But still Kobe`s got his own identity even with all these skills he has.
Nope. Lebron,...now he is the first Lebron. Jordan was the first Jordan. He didn't emulate Dr. Jay near the degree Kobe emulated him. Kobe is the first to emulate another player the way he did with Jordan. Lets be honest here. Not only that, he was a poor man's copy. Less efficient in both regular season and playoffs.
NBAGOATS Lmao trying to be Jordan is not an easy thing. Still, can't blame the guy for trying if there's anyone you want to learn from it has to be greatest.

Duane de Ocampo Trust me bro, In reality, they don't compare, but I did it for the population of mindless Kobe fans who somehow think that Kobe is better than Jordan. Not for any other reason. Me personally, I know they don't compare.
Kobe has the best scoring talent i've ever seen; He had the best footwork and fadeaway by far; didnt have the physical advantage that lebron (bigger faster stronger than everyone) and durant (so tall he can just shoot over defenders easily) have, so kobe had to work harder. And his moves just look so good
We don't watch basketball in our country, but I have heard of Coby Bryant. Personally I find the game boring as the court is so small the players can't even run fast, also would be better if you can bounce the ball on your head!
WTF kobe is on a totally different level then Lin, No kobe is actually on his own level entirely, he is if not the best player of all time definitely one of them
Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, blocker, and gets more steals so hes a better defender than bryant. Kobe is more clutch and can shoot better. However its clear lebron is better kobe has never shot over like 48%.lebrons smart makes his players better and is a leader if you brings rings into it kobe won 3 with shaq.
LeBron never shot 48% because he shoots far closer to the rim. Same reason Centers have high shooting percentages. Shaq averaged higher than 50%, is he a better shooter?? I'll give you LeBron is a better passer, but that is factored into their game plan (a large portion of his assists were fast breaks, Ray Charles could get assists with that). Kobe played in the Triangle Offense the majority of his career which calls for everybody to be the passer in their formation, which is why they never acquired high lvl point guards. Everyone averaged around the same amount of assists, with Kobe leading the team a lot of the time. It's the same reason Chicago didn't need great point guards and Jordan averaged low assists.
LeBron ZERO rings with Shaq, LeBron Bronze Medal without Kobe, and Lebron 2 and 3 in the finals. Finishing with 2 Wins and 2 Losses on basically an All-Star Team. It's a little easy to get assists when passing to Wade, Ray Allen, and Bosh. It's also pretty easy to get to the rim when teams can't double team you because they are busy covering the other All-Stars on the team. Not saying LeBron isn't a great player, but he does have it easier. I mean he basically formed another All-Star Team in Cleveland. None of the Current or Future Hall of Famers ever had it that easy.
You are very right, Kobe's stats are overrated just like his career. Notice all that have replied to you have not given one reason to debate you. These Kobe defenders are like, "whart der fuck", or "you stupid". They say that because they can't ACTUALLY ARGUE.
Shaq did not win anything until PHIL JACKSON came to LA. It's not like Kobe was a difference maker when he came into the league. You could have replaced Kobe with Iverson or TMac and Shaq would still get those 3 rings. Shaq was the focal point of the triangle and defenses were designed to stop him not Kobe. And please, last time I checked Lebron was the 2 time Finals MVP not Wade. Bron had to literally carry the Heat in their 2nd title run with an injured Wade and an ineffective Bosh. Kobe never had that kind of playoff dominance as he had always to rely on Shaq's inside presence to free himself up from defenders and Bynum/Gasol's superb rebounding to clean up his bricks from his 35 FG% shooting.
Idk how people say that Kobe's a clutcher player than lebron. For somebody that's considered a "clutch" player, what's Kobe's clutchess playoff performance again? A game winner against the Phoenix Suns? Lol which happend in the 1st round!? In which Kobe would eventually choke away the series. Does Kobe even have any historic playoff performances that doesn't involve Shaq dominating the game or series!?
Exposing your lack of knowledge about Kobes career and basketball knowledge in general doesn't impress anybody. Just exposes that you don't know shit with such a stupid and innacurate comment. Educate yourself before posting.
Kobe Bryant fans will literally watch his HIGHLIGHT videos, and declare him the best of this generation, and not acknowledge his career 45 percent field goal percentage. People sound so stupid when they say SKILL SKILL KOBE HAS SKILL!! Skill doesn't = execution. Stats = execution. And Kobe's stats, much like his career, is VERY OVERRATED.
Your dumb.. having a great wing player in wade, and a mobile center like bosh, and a spot up three point shooter in allen, no shit lebrons stats are going to be ridicules. he's a great athlete, who has the luxury of offense minded teammates who you can't leave to double lebron. Dig a little deeper into basketball stats before you start riding nuts bro. doesn't even matter anyway, Jordans the best, kobe an lebron are competing for 2nd.
UnderstandMeNow Son Listen to what I'm saying. I am a fan of neither players, Im a fan of basketball, Kobe isn't above lebron in any way except his bigger arsenal of skills he can use, and his championships. Lebron is no doubt a dominating force never seen before, its like comparing batman to superman, and in my opinion, its more entertaining to watch batman, because he's like me or you, human. Lebron you can make a case for not being human, my first instinct is he's on steroids, but I know thats not true. BUT NEITHER HAS CARRIED A TEAM, they all had great players to lift them over the hump (gasol, shaq) (wade, bosh) but kobe did it with a different roster, he's a little more tested. Lebron can overtake kobe one day for legacy bragging rights, but not yet!! thats my point! But to answer your question, the orlando series he dominated, go watch the highlights, those are moves and technical skill lebron will never match. But to be fair, there was some athleticism lebron has shown, no one will probably ever match since jordan.
***** Kobe Bryant managed to shot jack his way to 30ppg in that series, while shooting 43% percent from the field, that doesn't seem like a very good series. Especially when compared to Gasol's 16ppg while shooting 60% percent. Of course Kobe unfairly won mvp of the series. Btw why do you keep mentioning Lebron? Since you want to talk about him though, Lebron did MUCH more carrying in his final victories than Kobe EVER did. I'm debating, like I said in my first comment, that Kobe's career is WAY OVERRATED. Does he deserve the hof? Yes! just not a first balloter like he'll be voted in. And the fact that Kobe is compared in the same sentence as Air Jordan is not only false, but disrespectful to the goat.
when anyone is trying to diss kobe's stats its usually because they are lebron fans and kobe haters, youtube is filled with these kids. Before you compare kobe's stats look at the shots he was taking in that series, and it doesn't even matter because kobe dominated that series even if he was below 50%. Everyone knows almost all of lebron's shots are near or around the paint, so comparing there skill is not even fair, kobe is more skilled technically, lebron is just physically gifted. but jordan is the best i agree, but kobe still has better moves, better moves than anyone whose ever played, because he's taken something from every great and mixed it together with unrivaled footwork, but he's still not the best, jordan is.
Credit to Kobe when your comparing a player in his prime to a guy in the twilight of his career. His longevity of playing at an elite level is pretty amazing and a testament to his work ethic.
I never had a chance to truly appreciate Michael Jordan. I was probably 7 years old when he made his last shot in a Chicago uniform against Utah. But thank God for Kobe. He's the closest thing to him.
If people appreciate pure basketball then i dont know how you cant appreciate kobe bryant just making dudes look silly. The most fundementally sound player ever
I have been a Kobe fan since early 2000 but I gotta say, his spectacular plays were a result of him forcing the issue. Kobe in the Olympics made me love him better as he trusted his team and only took shots when needed.
Kobe honestly is one of the toughest NBA player of his times, his footwork comes from his skills by playing soccer not only basketball, the way he is able to space himself to make the shot is uncredible, also he's 6ft6, 205 pounds but hes guarding players that are some times ever larger then him and still gets past, Kobe could have been retired and still be called the greatest laker, after all the lakers are the best franchise due to the amount of legends, and three peats we've had, Kobes returning soon cant wait, Kobe Bryant average is 25.5 ppg 5.0 assist 5.0 rebound, statistically he hasn't declined in any way yet people say father time will halt his expansion, whoever thinks kobes gonna choke is a hater cause they themselves would be devastated when kobe shoots from 14 ft away in their face; lebrons a choke, will never get more than 3 rings, and Kobe is just funner to watch then LeBron cause kobe is a better shooter which gets crowds excited.... anyways #Lakers for life and #Kobe and if u tight then "numbers don't lie check the scoreboard" jigga
Kobe is deffenently 1 of the Greatest Playoff Players Of All Time. Made it to the Finals 7 times, 5 Rings. Almost 5,000 carrer playoff points, and has been to the playoffs every year in his carrer except for THE 04-05 season, and of course missed the previous playoff's with the injury!

Created 2 superteams in a weak conference!
That's not better than M.J
That's not better than K.B
Maybe if stats and FMVP or bust attitude wasn't the goal he'd have more wins and rings
2011 should have been Dwades 2nd Finals MVP and Brons 1st ring but he put up
17.8pts 7.2rebs 6.8ast
17.8 points!!!!! Third in scoring to Bosh 18.5pts
He was considered to be the best or top 2 player in the league!!!!
That's the G.O.A.T?!?!?!
Kobe put up 15.6pts on a bumb ankle. He closed out game 4 (after Shaq fouled out) against a 50 greatest ever player ( Reggie Miller) on the road, and later help snatch a ring on that same BUMB ANKLE
That's greatness. It could have been an excuse many would understand and give a pass to, nope it was fuel. That G.O.A.T ish to me
The league set the table for Bron, and he left to much on that table
Such an honor watching Kobe his entire career
The thing that makes Kobe so good. All the contested shots usually go in. Jordan just flew by them. If Jordan couldn't. Then he wouldn't score. Kobe still makes it
you obviously haven't watched Jordan then, half of kobe's moves are variations of Jordan's
Pls bro kobe is better shooter than jordan becuase of the multitude of difficult shot kobe take jordan ft and his are close
Some of which didnt even like MJ (Isiah Thomas & Reggie Miller)
Now who says Kobe is the greatest: Kobe fans who aren't Hall of Famers.
Hmm...who should people believe?! Hall of Famers/great NBA All Stars (some of which didnt like MJ) vs Kobe fanatics (who carry a lot of favoritism) oh and Mark Jackson votes for Kobe
Who are other players considered by other HOFs to be the GOAT?!
They also play vastly different styles of Ball. Kobe definitely has his own ways to score.
RUclips recommended after 8 yrs. R.I.P LEGEND
MAMBA OUT..😭😍
His footwork is so astounding it seems like traveling, something LeBron can only dream of learning.
kobe all the way man this dude lead the sorriest team to the playoff last year. and see without him they didnt do CRAP in the playoffs..... he is a one man team
Micheal jordan said that kobe was the closest basketball player to be good as him.and holla at me when LeBron scores 81 points in a game or gets 5 rings then we can discuss who's better
Eh, they’re all shining Russel’s shoes
Hel prob get his 5th this year
I was dizzy from all the spinnig after 10min! Thanks for the great vid!

MrTorsation476858 The way I see it, It IS over
Why you comparing? Kobe is kobe and Jordan is Jordan
Duane de Ocampo Trust me bro, In reality, they don't compare, but I did it for the population of mindless Kobe fans who somehow think that Kobe is better than Jordan. Not for any other reason. Me personally, I know they don't compare.
Robert Ibanez Here's the real truth: Kobe is a JOKE compared to Jordan.
06-10 Kobe best player I've ever SEEN IN MY LIFE...2008 to 2012...pure veteran perfection
Anyone notices on every play Gasol getting pushed around like a rag doll? Lol
john williams LMAO pau is fucking weak
john williams he may have helped buy your trying to say he was the main reason I really just think yo don't know anything about basketball
Hope to see Kobe come back soon.
He is a amazing guy.
I believe he can creat more legend in the future.
So 46% is a bad field goal percentage?
it's good for guards
Kobe has been my idol eversince, I love basketball becoz of him,I play basketball becoz of him.KOBEBRYANT TheBestBasketballPlayerOnThePlanet!!!!!!!!!!
When lebron scores 81 points in a game and has enough championship rings to fit his whole hand then he is better than kobe
This is still true after 6 years
@@m3gay facts
KOBE > JORDAN
Tom Rousset 5 > 2
lebron's carrer isn't over as far as i know. plus greatness is not mesured by the number of championships
Tom Rousset ignorant
robbereal1982 accept it
bracesj's logic, BRIAN SCALABRINE>CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe has the best scoring talent i've ever seen; He had the best footwork and fadeaway by far; didnt have the physical advantage that lebron (bigger faster stronger than everyone) and durant (so tall he can just shoot over defenders easily) have, so kobe had to work harder. And his moves just look so good
We don't watch basketball in our country, but I have heard of Coby Bryant. Personally I find the game boring as the court is so small the players can't even run fast, also would be better if you can bounce the ball on your head!
Go watch a game end in a tie, bitch.
The only time i wear a tie is at the office dick wad!!
P1mpMyBr1de What?
P1mpMyBr1de this made me lol
P1mpMyBr1de I think hes talking about soccer LOL
Kobe is just a beast in crunch time ..
5.Kevin Durant
4.James Harden
3.Kobe Bryant
2.Derrick Rose
1.LeBron James
GREATEST EVER
Your wrong and your dumb
Kdogcentral5ables your right
Kdogcentral5ables
You're* you're*
The fact that michael jordan isn't on there just shows you're stupid
The fuck is wrong with your top 5?
Damn, the way he knocks down his shots over Allen, Pietrus, and Battier is amazing. Those dudes were playing really good defense on him.
To me, Kobe Bryant is on the verge of surpassing Jeremy Lin, if he hasn't already.
Wtf? Lin is not even close to kobes level.
Nate Rivers
If Kobe earns a 6th ring and a 2nd season MVP, then he probably will end up being greater than Jeremy Lin.
Strange Tamer yeah you are right. Lin is too good for kobe
WTF kobe is on a totally different level then Lin, No kobe is actually on his own level entirely, he is if not the best player of all time definitely one of them
Wow
That footwork man.....you can't teach something like that....you got to be special, like the Mamba!
Not to mention lebrons ppg dwindled since coming to miami even though he got better imagine if he was still in Cleveland he'd average 33+
Kobe is unguardable. Lebron is.
@@proeraxjordan8349 not
makes me want to start working out to be like him and jordan! wishes come true
Bron already better than Kobe ever was. Bron was never carried to championship titles like Shaq did for Kobe.
Kobe = coattail rider
Do you understand how stupid you sound right now?
what the fuck
he left the cavs cause he needed to be carried lol.
Kobe never had that kind of playoff dominance as he had always to rely on Shaq's inside presence to free himself up from defenders and Bynum/Gasol's superb rebounding to clean up his bricks from his 35 FG% shooting.
its amazing how much has changed within 4 years
Idk how people say that Kobe's a clutcher player than lebron.
Please tell me how lebron wouldve won one of his rings without dwayne or his per dinosour
I don't get why there is always a hater on some kobe bryant video people like u have no lives
Beastj73 +1 i am so fucking agree with this
Exposing your lack of knowledge about Kobes career and basketball knowledge in general doesn't impress anybody. Just exposes that you don't know shit with such a stupid and innacurate comment. Educate yourself before posting.
this is the best ever KOBE BRYANT!
***** I dare you name me a finals the Lakers won where Kobe actually had a good series. I'll wait.
Finally i found this video i watched this since when i was Highschool
I broke my left forearm in playing basketball but kobe inspire me not to stop but to push harder and make things possible.
I never had a chance to truly appreciate Michael Jordan. I was probably 7 years old when he made his last shot in a Chicago uniform against Utah.
But thank God for Kobe. He's the closest thing to him.
this is the best youtube account ive ever subscribed to
If people appreciate pure basketball then i dont know how you cant appreciate kobe bryant just making dudes look silly. The most fundementally sound player ever
Can we all just appreciate what kobe has done for the nba?
Simply one of the best, if not the best!
Watchin this video.. feels different not having kobe around. GOAT.
I appreciate the greatness
thank you for these videos.
been watching since a kid! he is amazing!!!! LETS GO LAKERS!!!!!
Care what’ no one says..Kobe was the best thing on the court at all times until 2012. Can’t debate that
This guy is so talented and complete its ridiculous, once in a generation...
I can't believe that it has been 2 years since Kobe has played in playoffs
I have been a Kobe fan since early 2000 but I gotta say, his spectacular plays were a result of him forcing the issue. Kobe in the Olympics made me love him better as he trusted his team and only took shots when needed.
Among the best of all time. Much respect.
Watching Kobe's Athleticism in 2008-2009.. wow I wish he could still jump like that.
Kobe honestly is one of the toughest NBA player of his times, his footwork comes from his skills by playing soccer not only basketball, the way he is able to space himself to make the shot is uncredible, also he's 6ft6, 205 pounds but hes guarding players that are some times ever larger then him and still gets past, Kobe could have been retired and still be called the greatest laker, after all the lakers are the best franchise due to the amount of legends, and three peats we've had, Kobes returning soon cant wait, Kobe Bryant average is 25.5 ppg 5.0 assist 5.0 rebound, statistically he hasn't declined in any way yet people say father time will halt his expansion, whoever thinks kobes gonna choke is a hater cause they themselves would be devastated when kobe shoots from 14 ft away in their face; lebrons a choke, will never get more than 3 rings, and Kobe is just funner to watch then LeBron cause kobe is a better shooter which gets crowds excited.... anyways #Lakers for life and #Kobe and if u tight then "numbers don't lie check the scoreboard" jigga
he will always be my idol in basketball.
I couldnt see kobe retiring, if kobe retires that would be one of the saddest moment in the nba, nba would never be the same.
One of the best to ever play this sport call basketball
Kobe is deffenently 1 of the Greatest Playoff Players Of All Time. Made it to the Finals 7 times, 5 Rings. Almost 5,000 carrer playoff points, and has been to the playoffs every year in his carrer except for THE 04-05 season, and of course missed the previous playoff's with the injury!
This is why kobe is the No.2 goat
