To answer your question Yes I will go with you to the prom 😂😂😂😂 very Awsome video that snake was HUGE 😲🐍 very nice to get outside by yourself Ticks are a pain in the ass
I grew up in the Ramapo Mts...I left West Milford,NJ when I was 20 in 1981..To live in NC because things were getting to expensive..but I miss it all.. Ty for sharing..
that is a beautiful piece of property. it must have looked amazing when it was new. you find the coolest places. my favorite was the dirty dancing filming location. I have told all my friends that are fans of the movie that the lake is dried out. 😁
You did say that a local told you it would refill, right? At least I thought you said that in your video. I look forward to the next destination. Thanks for sharing with those of us that have the traveling bug, but aren't able to do that at this time.
In theory I guess it could one day. I believe it filled back up about half way at some point, but then drained again. There is a ton of information about it on the hotels website. Some say it was caused by an earthquake about 10 years ago. Some say its some natural cracks in the earth that open and close back up. Its definitely a phenomenon though!
It’s so cool to see nature reclaim they abandoned sites. The bus sinking into the ground is pretty awesome, would be cool if you could go back now and see how it’s changed/if it’s still there.
the steel back plate in the fire place was probably cracked by freezing water in the wintertime. A tiny crack forms, water gets in, freezes and thaws repeatedly and the expanding ice eventually cracks the entire plate.
We had a old 60's bus at the little private school I went to. It was a stick shift and was real rustic looking. I wish I would've taken pictures of it. It's probably in some junkyard now. Great video!
Another fabulous video! I got my mother watching your stuff and subscribed too. I tell people watch 1 of his videos and you will be hooked. I think my mother is binge watching everything you have! Lol. I heard you mention the proper people the other day when you found an xmas decoration. Lmao. They are good too i enjoy their stuff as well but your vids have it all including great "off the cuff" humor. Your everyday laid back mentality makes you appealing to a HUGE array of audiences. So i think you found your niche. Listen you want a good suggestion for a beautiful place to explore that has had people mesmerized for decades!? Go to like Barker Ranch and Spawn Ranch and some of the Manson related locations and maybe research and find some significant locations that not a lot of other people cover. And put the "Mobile Instict" spin on some Manson location exploration! You would have EVERYONE watching that series of vids i assure you. Even younger generations are fascinated with the Manson murders once they learn of it. Keep up the great work. I'll b watching religiously and continue to get the word out to others about you're great work
That bus is problably from the 40s! Very cool video thought! Is like watching a life after people video on the history channel. 👌😎👍lmfao! The noise you made when you got scared!👋😂👉🤯
Tick City for sure..my home town..I'm in nc now for 10 yrs but grew up in NJ. My mom.me my 1 son and x husband all got lymes disease from those ticker pains..check yourself..thanks for the video..
One day not long ago, I was on a school charter trip during a windstorm, I was forced to detour from the highway due to construction work, to get the kids back to school, and start my afternoon route on time, while driving on a main street, near the school, I observed a large tree, that appeared to be losing its top, I hit the brakes, and brought the bus to a stop, just in time as the whole tree fell directly in front of the bus, blocking the entire road! To this day I can't tell you what made me stop that bus but if I hadn't I undoubtedly wou.ld have had some severely injured kids or worse! As the tree was easily 3 times thicker than that one
VIN numbers didn’t come around until the mid fifties.....this bus is too old for a VIN......not to mention the huge amount of corrosion....serial numbers on castings would be almost impossible at this point....
Yes we do have castles in America ..of course not as many as in Europe..a duh...haaaaa...look up kips castle ...Lambert castle..don't forget nj ny RI...have some of the first Dutch German settlements in north America
New York had one too it was on an island in the Hudson, it was built to be an arsenal for the old Flaydermans Company, which dealt in military surplus, from all over the world, they had a store in the city, but city officials were leary of allowing them to store some of their larger items such as artillery pieces there, so they constructed what came to be known as Arsenal Island, which I believe became abandoned after the second world war.
The state of New Jersey where this was filmed has very restrictive firearms regulations concerning the carrying of guns outside of regular hunting seasons, when only shotguns are allowed, the U.S. Has such a patchwork of laws on this issue, that what is legal in one state, is a felony in another, so someone that travels to different states, to make videos is better off, not carrying one.
Why do so many folks here not understand that the bus was there long before most of the trees? Look at the trees around it: A few are large, like the ones that fell on it. Most are not. Silly people.
WOW, LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, I'VE BEEN TO NJ ACTUALLY ALL OVER MINUS OUT WEST I WORKED CONSTRUCTION DRY WALL FINISHER I TRAVELED AND I LOVED IT. BUT HONESTLY BEING ALONE YOU NEED A FIREARM! PPL ARE NUTS. ☝👆 HAVE U EVER BEEN TO BANNERMAN'S CASTLE IN NY?
Beautiful but how about reporting this so thus junk to the city so they can clear it up unbelievable that all this waste of junk still around & no one reported it smh !!!👎🏿
Oh for Christs sake. It's in the middle of nowhere. Hardly anybody sees it. If they do, MOST would find it intriguing and nostalgic, not some random eyesore like a 20 year old Taurus.
Older than 1960s....the black "pontoon" fender, high windshield rake, and Herculues flathead 6-cylinder all point to a late-1940s REO "Safety Bus."
+RadialSkid Pretty cool Thanks!
You are absolutely right. It reminds me of those tour buses that were used in Yellowstone from the late '40s :--))))))))
Same school bus from Forrest Gump, 40’s for sure
You make some strange sounds when you get scared- still laughing!
It's funny how a person can creep their self out over nothing. I was laughing outloud when the stick hit you in the leg.
Wish there was pictures of the castle and cottage back in the day.
Oh gosh you scared me ! I nearly threw my phone up ....heart is racing
The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round...er, maybe not.
Pretty cool!!!! I always wonder how these vehicles got there? Especially when there is no road in sight? Pat
You're my new favourite person. I can't stop watching!
To answer your question Yes I will go with you to the prom 😂😂😂😂 very Awsome video that snake was HUGE 😲🐍 very nice to get outside by yourself Ticks are a pain in the ass
Michael Rhoades hahaha great comment. Yes! the snake was incredible!
I would go anywhere with him! See you when we all go to the prom together! ;)

Thanks! Yeah its truly beautiful there. So crazy about the lake too! I bet lots of people are surprised when they get there!

That is interesting!

kays cottage looks like it was beautiful in its time... mesmerising.
It’s so cool to see nature reclaim they abandoned sites. The bus sinking into the ground is pretty awesome, would be cool if you could go back now and see how it’s changed/if it’s still there.

Mobile Instinct To answer your question Yes I will go with you to the prom 😂😂😂😂 Pretty Awsome video that snake was HUGE
Chris you made me jump! I'm glad it was just a stick and not a snake. I love when you explore these amazing abandoned places.
Another very cool video. You kept me giggling and laughing out loud! Thank you!
love the bus bud!!! that had tetanus writing all over that lol. the bus reminds me of that movie into the wild.
Haha yeah that thing was pretty rusty and full of spiders
That damn Jersey Devil just about got ya!
Thanks for sharing. That would be a great house project incorporating the old stone.
Found your channel ten minutes ago and I already love it!!!!!

I was reading the comments and knew there was a scare happening but I still jumped so bad 😂 omg that scared the shot out of me!
Too cool for school. Love your vids.
Oh wow I missed that you made it out to my state!! so many "weird" places. Great videos!

Tick City for sure..my home town..I'm in nc now for 10 yrs but grew up in NJ. My mom.me my 1 son and x husband all got lymes disease from those ticker pains..check yourself..thanks for the video..

On any of these old vehicles, it would be cool if you got a close up of the VIN# so we could research it and maybe find some answers? :--)))
VIN numbers didn’t come around until the mid fifties.....this bus is too old for a VIN......not to mention the huge amount of corrosion....serial numbers on castings would be almost impossible at this point....
How would that bus get there?
I love your videos man. You're just like me when it comes to bugs, lol
This location reminds me of Jack Londons 'Wolf House'.
Really cool.
people wonder why there is a bus in the middle of the woods. I wonder how it got there.
Most of those trees weren't there 50 years ago. It was probably just a field then.
i didn't know NJ had a castle
GrayWolf yes we use to have bunches..slot of them are gone..torn down unfortunately
America...got/ have, NO REAL Castels...I'm from GERMANY...WE HAD A LOT OF THEM here, about oure HISTORY with KNIGHTS etc.!!!
Yes we do have castles in America ..of course not as many as in Europe..a duh...haaaaa...look up kips castle ...Lambert castle..don't forget nj ny RI...have some of the first Dutch German settlements in north America

Have you ever checked out Ken Kesey's bus? It was left in the woods on his property
Be careful in the woods , they filmed Friday the 13th up there in Blairstown.
7:45... We've all been there...👍😅
Looks like more of a 40's to 50's bus.
I absolutely want to do this in my free time when I'm older
Nj represent
That's really cool but it leaves me with a question. How did that school bus get out there.
The trees are young. The bus is old. It was there first.
That's a old R E O bus from the 40,s that's where the band REO speedwagon got their name. Reo speedwagon was actually a vehicle
Found ur videos earlier and I subscribe to it.
I think a little rustoleum paint and some carpet and that bus should be fine...
Whatever it was that scared you when you screamed i almost dropped my phone
Nice video man!
Great video as always
Thanks Ron!
Yes, its a beauty, yes like alot
Looks like a 1940s REO bus to me.
wonder how the bus got there
Cool vids I enjoy them :)
Now we know where they could film a movie of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
It’s likely an International from around 1940.
Do you ever take a weapon (gun) with you when you are exploring? I live in BC Canada and I can’t go in the woods without at least one rifle.
Hi there from Fort st John!!
Someone should buy it and restore the burned down castle
9:41- are those bullet holes?
I think that bus is from the late 1940's or early 1950's. It is too old to be from the 1960's.
That wont buff out! 🤔
I laugh my a#$ off to the intro. Gotta be careful out there in the wild
I swear you are my twin! I do this same stuff
I wonder what a bus was doing in the middle of the woods like that?
Those trees weren't very old. Most of them less than 30. It was probably left there in the 60s.
@@donellmuniz590 interesting
😄 so funny the things u do to explore places ! I hope this comment dont get deleted like the other's 😔
👍
You should buy that school bus and scrap it
Why do so many folks here not understand that the bus was there long before most of the trees? Look at the trees around it: A few are large, like the ones that fell on it. Most are not. Silly people.
Do you ever get poison ivy?
WOW, LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, I'VE BEEN TO NJ ACTUALLY ALL OVER MINUS OUT WEST I WORKED CONSTRUCTION DRY WALL FINISHER I TRAVELED AND I LOVED IT. BUT HONESTLY BEING ALONE YOU NEED A FIREARM! PPL ARE NUTS. ☝👆 HAVE U EVER BEEN TO BANNERMAN'S CASTLE IN NY?
+Alexas Machine I know the castle well but haven't gone over to it yet. Definitely on my list.

8:56 are those bullet holes
yes ,
yes i would like to go with you haha
Wow, what an offer for a young guy! 🥰
I can't believe how dumb some of the comments and questions are here. Must be a lotta kids, and folks who never get out of the city.
What’s the story of the bus?
It's not talking. Busses are very secretive.
Omg Assassins creed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!
hows a guy from NJ/PA a fan of Cleveland Indians?
LOL
Get out in the woods more bro. Don't make those sounds infront of the ladies. Not exactly confidence instilling
