These aerodynamic and combination of engine/aerodynamic contrails will still be being filmed in decades to come. No doubt you will still be scaring yourself? ruclips.net/video/yZNtfWf76Hw/видео.html
Absolutely Amazing. Being able to see that is only possible by several elements being at the correct elevation, at the correct speed, and at the correct angle from the sun to the contrails of your plane. All of that is amazing but, to have all of the factors plus some that I didn't mention all coming together at the right time. That is amazing. Awesome video. 🪡
It is so amazing as I own a 1933 University of Washington college yearbook where on page 278 it says "In the year 1983 perhaps men will fly the stratosphere at speeds ahead of the sun." Thus the X-15, Concord, and the SR-71 came to be...
In a wing that is producing lift, the pressure of the air under the wing must be higher than the pressure on the upper surface of the wing (or the airplane would fall out of the sky). At the wingtips, the higher pressure air "leaks" around the tips, generating an axis of vorticity that extends aftward from each wingtip. However, the air is slipping outboard across the entire span of the wing from below and being driven inboard across the entire span from above. As the wing passes, the two air masses, now moving opposite each-other, interact in a sheet along the plane swept out by the passage of the wing. These "sheet vortices" have lower pressure right at the plane of maximum vorticity. Air under low pressure expands, which means that it cools. This increases the likelihood that ambient humidity will condense along these vortex sheets, creating an aerodynamic contrail. These contrails are usually quite gossamer and thin and dissipate rapidly as viscosity diffuses the sheet vortices into quiescence. Engine contrails tend to last longer because combustion produces water vapor. If the ambient atmosphere is near saturation with humidity, the vapor exhaust from the engine will be unable to evaporate against the vapor pressure of the atmosphere and a much thicker and more persistent contrail will form.
+LouB747 At least you let people know by making that comment. It led me to your channel. If we can't even find the middle ground in the contrails vs chemtrails debate, we're doomed.
