    We took our grandson there last year on his fall break from school. He reads and studies the Titanic and can tell me things I didn't even know about it. He was so fascinated with everything there, especially the grand staircase. Our host was amazed at how much Tyler knew when he asked him certain questions. There is a lot of interaction with the different exhibits; such as the water , shoveling coal , the ships bridge, etc. So much to take in it really takes about 2 hours to see it all. I highly recommend it even if you aren't a Titanic buff. The world's largest Lego Titanic model built by an 15 year old boy from Reykhavik, Ireland is on display at the museum.

    We visited the titanic while on our honeymoon, it’s absolutely beautiful! They have the water in freezing temperature that you can stick your hand in, I didn’t last 5 seconds, it felt like needles and my arm was numb for the rest of the tour. They also have a door/window that shows the water coming up the stairs and lights flickering, and at the end the grand staircase gave me butterflies, made me feel dizzy and out of breath because for a moment I felt like I was on the titanic. I highly recommend this place! Such an amazing adventure

At the memorial part, she went to search for her given passenger's name to know if she was in the group of the survivors. She was. I was on the dead's list. I couldn´t care about my "death" I truly felt an enormous happiness and relieve because SHE survived.

    Such an amazing experience to walk through there with so many authentic artifacts including 6 lifejackets grouped together for the first time since the sinking over a century ago. (At least when I went there they had that display) They also recreated the first class staircase from the original blueprints used to build the Titanic which just gives you a sense of awe when you walk up those stairs. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're nearby or passing through.

    I went there about 3-4 years ago. I was talking to the Captain. Of course he wasn’t the real one, but still a cool experience. But wait, there’s more...
    So he asked me if I knew how long the Titanic was. I answered it correctly, and what I’m about to say is completely true, I wouldn’t write this whole comment. It was at Pigeon Forge too. Anyway, I got it right and he gave me this big speech in front of everyone, I was really embarrassed lol. At the end, he held out a little plastic container and put it in my hand. I asked “what’s this?” He said something I will never forget. “You, are holding a piece of the Titanic”.

      @cosmicgames2232 4 года назад

      Wrong, if you just want the attractions then yes go there, but if you want to experience the history then Southampton is the place to be, I've stood on the docs there and you can feel the emotion and if you close your eyes you can hear everyone cheering and saying goodbye as Titanic set sail, no museum can compare with that, but typical American's would rather play "let's see if I survive or die" at a stupid American owned attraction when clearly it wasn't a game to those who died on Titanic.

    • @UpperRobin29
      @UpperRobin29 7 лет назад

      The replica would have to be near 441 feet to be considered half scale. The Titanic was divided by it's expansion joints (Foward expansion, and Aft expansion.) Those expansions divided the ship into 3 sections: Foward, mid, and aft. The replica in Pigeon Forge ends shortly after the foward expansion.
      Plus they had to subtract the spacing in between the funnels to fit the desired look of two funnels.

    • @DataIsMyHero

That’s something only survivors and victims can claim and you’re taking that away from them. The museum is very cool and amazing to see. I've been all over the world and love history, but not easily impressed. I've been to this museum at least twice and have been really impressed. A bit expensive but worth the money and the time. Very well done.

    I've lived here now for 26 years and from the age that I can barely remember 1st visiting with my parents I think I was around 5 or 6 but I remember when Pigeon Forge was a one lane highway there was maybe 5 or 6 hotels a handful of race tracks and your old so famous Cherokee Indians whom were every where and nothing but farm land and off in the distance you would here the whistle blowing from Silver Dollar City that train roared through the mountains. Now with all the hustle and bustle there's nothing but pavement motels hotels racetracks,puppet, titanic, restaurants, Moonshine Distilleries, shopping and more things than you can imagine. The most fun thing you should do when you visit our beautiful towns is start out around 6am. Pick your favorite log cabin pancake house have Breakfast then hit the restroom then on the road to travel. Start out in Pigeon Forge into Wears Valley really take back all the beautiful scenery stop off along the way at shops and cabins and fudge shops then into Walland and Townsend enjoy the mountain streams and Beautiful waterfalls along the way swimming Wholes kayaking or tubing or just enjoy the drive its breathtaking as you travel into Cades Cove then Across the mountains and comeback down into the backside of Gatlinburg there are 10 + Waterfalls along the way just pay close attention and stop off along the way when you can and follow the streams if you can. Trust me. If you start out at Wears Valley traffic light and travel this route from 6am to 6 or even 8 pm you will have traveled one of the most prestigious and Beautiful Routes that Tennessee has to offer. If you have read i hope you get too enjoy your time here there's nothing more beautiful.

    I visited the little Titanic museum in Cobh (Queenstown)in Co. Cork last year where the Irish departed on the tender boat out to the Titanic which was anchored in Roches point for 1.5 hours before setting sale for New York. The little dock is still there just about. Captain Smith didn't come into Queenstown because it would have cost time. We visited an exhibition near Dublin a few years back and got to put my hand on an actual piece of Hull.
