      mistahwolfie: I own a pair of 15” hi-hats, made by Zildjian in the 60’s, and I just got a small crack in one of the cymbals. I’d say it’s not the brand, but how you play the cymbals that matter. I play with very cheap Millenium cymbals, and I hit hard and play with big sticks, and they’ve lasted quite some time now.

      if your not tight live maybe it's time to step a bit down on the gas. I don't blame the guy though. this stuff is so fast that it's really hard to groove with it but yeah, maybe a bit less speed would make it a whole lot better, at least live

      I know harmony very well , i study in the conservatory of Liège and i know very unconventional and experimental types of music. Technical does not mean jazz.. technical does not mean good. And there's no harmony because they don't play any chords (maybe some power chords and 7th diminished, that's all). Rhythmically it's fast but not so complex.

      I did not mean to offend you and do not mean to offend you now but this is my opinion, I have seen a 9 year old girl or something close to that age perform on one of those talent shows that is so much better than him. He hardly sings. The bass player and guitarists are performing at such a low level that I think that they should be replaced. The only one with any real talent is the drummer who is so I incredibly amazing and the best that I have ever seen or heard. He should be with others who can keep up with him. He needs to upgrade. I have been around enough bands to know talent regarding musical genre when I see it. Again no offense to you. This is just my opinion and I am sorry if my opinion upsets you.

Nothing gives you a bigger kick than getting people to wonder how you did that or played something that fast. And it's also what pushes the boundaries too. I'm outraged to not see a pit. How are people just gonna stand there like it's a speech?!?!

    • @SpasticSpud
      @SpasticSpud 4 года назад

      To some extent it's to stand there and wonder how the hell they're playing at this pace, all the timing and rhythm changes and keeping it tighter than an amoeba's rectum. But yeah, at some point you just would want to jump in there and get some pushing and shoving done.

    I like the drum part that starts at 2:15

    This video makes me stressed. :D His arms are moving so much around the kit all the time I would have lost drumsticks 5000 times after 30 seconds if I even considered playing in this style. Respect.

    I really want to hear the studio version of this. Has anyone heard when it's being released. I was at the last Denver show right before they recorded it, so I assume it's long done, right?

      @@raymondbauer2152 thank you! I actually found a video of him talking about his kit and technique. In it he said he was never able to get swivel to work for him so you right

    I'm a drummer. Explain to me how this is sloppy? Attempt to play this fast.

    • @Deathworg1
      @Deathworg1 7 лет назад +27

      I was thinking the same thing, He's actually being very tight. If he's sloppy in some parts it's a momentary thing, his playing is spot on over 90% of the video.

    • @tiyenin
      @tiyenin 7 лет назад +20

      When you play upwards of 300 BPM, nothing sounds tight. Player inefficiency, or ensemble error for performing too fast? You deicide.

    • @Deathworg1
      @Deathworg1 7 лет назад +4

      I just watched the video again to get a fresh perspective and to be fair the drummer is being Very Very tight.

    • @FreakCanal
      @FreakCanal 7 лет назад +2

      Don't play so fast so. For me is a nonsense playing. Speed for the only sake of speed is quite ...boring.
