Jason, you are so handy around the farm - invaluable to new homesteaders. Best of all though, I love your sense of humor. I find myself laughing out loud to most of your videos. You have quite the knack of filming your work and educating us while entertaining us at the same time. Keep ‘em coming!

I watch your videos because of your wry sense of humor, your talents for farming and building and your genuine caring attitude towards life and also because your videos are not chaotic, but more mellow and you can tell you have put thought into the video itself and what you want to accomplish with it. Plus your new farm is beautiful and so interesting with all the land and getting new ideas to develop it. Even though I am a vegetarian, I enjoy your animals.

I think he should consider making some kits, maybe join up with another local farmer, build 10 or 20 kits and sell. See how it goes. At the very least local farms would have an easier time of it. Imagine an apple orchard guy gets a quality easy to use product for his family. Jason gets a good deal on apples I am sure.

I always watch your videos first.
I find myself watching 100% of your videos instead of skipping through. You seem to have the right amount of detail to convey what you are doing without being repetitive. Telling a story is so important for teaching and entertaining.
I like your chicken tractor design. I think 25 chickens makes a decent day's work processing them, so building a chicken tractor that holds 25 is about perfect. The chicken tractor looks fairly light. I have a really heavy one I built when I was just starting out and I plan to build another that is much much lighter. I like the Suscovich style for egg layers. kind of cool that you can use it for other animals as well. I Will probably build one similar.
The new waterers look nice. I wish there was something that could perform in the winter time for egg layers. I think at night these would freeze up. I hate cleaning poop off the heated flat top waterer. I often mount a 5 gallon bucket lid on top of the waterer as a poop shield. I have gutters on my chicken coop that drain into a 5 gallon water tubs that the chickens can access. Saves hauling water half the time.

But, maybe if you mount it high enough they won't be able to. Still it will get dirty from whatever falls off their beaks. Please do a follow up on how you like these! Thanks for sharing!

I give the meat birds the round rubber tubs, or a wash basin, and put a rock in the middle so if they fall in they can get on the rock and jump out. The last 2 weeks I don't even put a rock in the tubs they are big enough to not drown in it. I've never had one drown in the tubs or the rubber feeder. I do love the feeders you made and have made my own they are awesome ;)
