I love this interpretation. It is extremely well performed and with great dynamics and sensitivity. Kaori Muraji is one of the most interesting musicians I have discovered in my exploration of classical guitarists. Thank you for your outstanding performances.
Its one thing to play this for the 50th time at home at 3am and finally get it perfect. But when you play this good live under the pressure of the spotlight, you just have to be called great.
I am overwhelmed by her physical beauty and her technical skill. It is a tribute to the human mind and body that someone can train to be so skillful. Also how does any create such exciting, poetic and mystical music. The human being is truly an amazing creation. If the Buddhists are right I had better not waste my time as a human being but rejoice everyday in mt ability and potential. Wayne
Just discovered! Everything on this video is absolutely fantastic. Great visual conception. Hallucinating team work. Great sound and performance. The way to go. All the Best from Montreal, Eric Lemieux - Composer
Fantastic performance! And now I need to learn a little more about the late Roland Dyens. This piece sounds like something that Erik Satie might have composed if Satie had been a guitar virtuoso.
Dyens is guitar god, and Kaori Muraji is fantastic player! This combination is perfect! And it´s inspiration for me. I´m in 3rd class at primary guitar scholl.
Beautifully rhythmic and soulful , at times tense music. Brazilian blues maybe? I have never heard this musician before , but I will certainly listen to more of her playing.
It is incredible. I personally dont like modern music, but this piece is like an explosion of life, and kaori plays in the way like God would play it. I love her playing, her interpretation.- especially with some songs like dekameron, etc. she is unmatchable in my opinion. p.s.the very only thing i d change is the last chord. i would play a warm major. hey, do not attack me for this statement! for me , the last chord should be "a good ending". Congratulations to Kaori and Mr. Dyens!
I am shure that Roland Dyens is very happy with this great performance of Kaori. Let us hope it inspires him to write more of his exclusive, rich and astonishing guitar works. My deep respect to Kaori Muraji.
Brava!!!
I want to study classical guitar. I tried when I was a teenager, in the 80s, but I wasn't interested in any of the music. Well... some of it. Baroque stuff. I've always leaned toward steel string acoustic fiugerstyle players like Michael Hedges, Fahey and Kottke. The weirder, the better. I have only recently discovered Roland Dyens and I vibe with his playing, writing and arrangements like no other guitarist I've heard. Elements of so many things I love. Now I realize that Fred Frith must be heavily influenced by certain aspects of Dyens work. I have a lot of exploration ahead of me. This is the performance of his work not played by him that I liked the best. I'm interested in recommendations for records of Roland playing his own works and favorite interpreters of his work, if anyone has opinions they's like to share. Thanks.
I'm brazilian. They (Mr. Dyens and Mrs. Muraji) captured brazilian spirit! Perfect and very touching.
That's the totality of Brazilian Rhythms, summarized in a mesmerizing, storytelling. Bravo.

Finally someone who doesnt just play the piece fast! :D

She is so incredibly gifted, she's astonishing.
This piece still rings in my head from time to time. Also here because quarantine!
Beautiful
An amazing performance
Congratulations!!!
Incredibly beautiful, Kaori-san.
Breathtaking! I bet this is just the way maestro Dyens meant it to be interpreted.
THIS GAL IS GOOD !!! Definetely has a style all her own.
R.I.P Roland Dyens
Simply - beautiful! - your soul, Kaori, is there!

She seems to sincerely enjoy her playing.
No, scratch that.
She does enjoy her playing, sincerely.

@michaeltruhl tonal: it has a key center.
Together with Leo Brauer he's the greatest guitar composer of our time, I believe.
😭❤❤❤
