Fixing JBL Headphones where one side does not work (example TUNE 600 btnc)

  • This video explains how to fix a problem with JBL headphones where one side is not working. In this example we are using the JBL TUNE600 btnc, but this procedure can also be used on many other JBL Bluetooth headphones.
    There are probably issues with headphones other than the one we explain here. In this case we are taking a look at a problem with the springs, which create the electrical contact of the driver to the PCB. In case these contacts are corroded, we can simply clean them up and the headphones will start working again.

Literally all I had to do was just push the ear-cup a little on the broken side so the springs could connect properly, they probably disconnected when it fell down or whatever. • @papertux
    @papertux 2 года назад +14

    Thanks! This tip solved the problem for my JBL Tune 500BT as well. For the 500BT the only difference in the procedure is how you open it, because the cushion pads are not attached to a removable plastic piece, the rest is the same. As other people, I opted for making the springs a little longer so that they attach with more pressure to the circular plates on the board. I scraped the plates carefully with a small screw driver to remove corrosion as I didn't have any kind of liquid for the job.

    • @benoit9304
      @benoit9304 2 года назад

      How did you remove the cushion pads?

    • @papertux
      @papertux 2 года назад +3

      @@benoit9304 Just gently pull its edges off the slot. Once you pull one side, follow along the circle and it will come out easily. Pull the cloth only, don't try to remove any plastic piece during this process. Once you do it, you will see the screws you need to remove for this fix.
