    I have same welder but it has 4 wires with a male 4 prong twist lock. With that, since I won't use 3 phase, the red wire wil not be utilized

      as far as I under stand its max load at 240v is 31amps according to rear of machine iam and electrician I was under the impression it would just plug into my 13a 240v socket like my old mig welder

    Thanks for the FYI video, and your disclaimer you are not an electrician
    If your receptical is located within your garage / shed / shop, it needs to be located >36" off the floor and any water source.
    Nominal voltages are 120 or 240v, not 110 or 250v.
    The "Dryer Plug" reference is not correct, for it has four electrical contacts. The plug you are referring about is typically a welding receptical, a NEMA 6-50, with a maximum rating of 250v @ 50a.
