It's even more insidious than that when you think about it. When you raise a generation telling them that none of their failures are their fault, not only are you preventing them from learning from failure, but you're also telling them that there's no benefit to them trying to self improve. If someone lets you think you got an F on the test because the teacher is racist, you're not gonna bother to study for the next one. If someone lets you think you didn't get a job or promotion because the boss is racist, you're not gonna bother to apply for the next one. So they're not just insulting you, they're actively teaching your kids that they shouldn't bother to make an effort to change their lot in life, because the outcome isn't dependent on them.

it is a lack of effort to make a claim like this. Black people have been told by their own leaders of their flaws. From Marcus Garvey, to Malcom X to many others history is full of black leaders telling their people about this challenge. Its only people who don't want to do the work or are not aligned with these heroes of the black community that are making statements that are not at all true from a historical perspective.

I am a black woman and years ago I worked a city job with the homeless in California. I had to do a lot of training and go to meetings and a lot went into it . I worked with only 2 other black women and the managers were accused of racism by the homeless so they did a DEI hiring. They hired like 50 unchecked people based on skin color and we had fights breaking out we had a person die in front of a staff member because the staff wasn't trained on cpr and was overwhelmed and just watched . It was horrible. Instead of focusing on dei hiring people should focus on education for children so the playing field feels equal . Not because of skin color but because of education

I get mad every time I hear of the poor quality schools in poorer neighborhoods. School Boards are responsible for spending the funds for the education system. If they are withholding funds from schools to give more funding to "nice" neighborhoods they should be removed from office. All schools should receive equal funding in each school district in America! No special funding of special schools because of their location! Those same school boards hire the worse of the worse educators to work in poorer districts - this must stop! All children deserve the same, and I mean the exact same education! People outside of those school districts cannot control what they do, but the people who live in those districts can! Attend the board meetings and watch board members get upset and un-nerved because your face is looking at them during the meeting. Wait until they are ready to vote to voice your opinion on a topic and do not be intimidated to bring up a topic under "New Business"

People should be upset about this! Just because it is a poorer section of the district does not mean they do not deserve proper funding for the schools! I have always said this. I'm white but I have ALWAYS felt that if I were black that I would not want Affirmative Action or DEI programs because it would always put doubt in the minds of others as to whether I actually belong in my position.
For instance, if I were Justice Jackson, I would have been FURIOUS that Joe Biden announced he was picking a black woman for SCOTUS. That automatically means she was picked from a smaller pool of talent. That means that's she's not the best candidate, she's only the best candidate of black women (and that could be disputed as well). Whether you like Justice Jackson or not, they did her dirty and made sure everyone knew that she's wasn't the best or most qualified candidate, she just checked the two boxes they needed.

    • @larrybremer4930

You cannot use DEI and Affirmative Action for candidate selection without accepting less qualified candidates because by its nature you MUST lower standards for some candidates to outcompete more qualified candidates that were not given preference. If hiring was solely on merit you cannot ensure diversity. The two objectives are incompatible with each other, so its 100% accurate for both the person hired and anyone who relies on them to wonder if they were the less qualified DEI/Affirmative Action hire. Anyone who says differently is pushing a race baiting agenda. None of this should be inferred as any race being incapable of competing, but to show that less qualified individual candidates have to be taken (which discriminates against some more qualified candidates) for such programs to actually attain their goals.

I worked hard enough so I could get noticed, and did a combined masters and engineering degree on other peoples dime. The last decade or so I more regularly talk to people that tell me I only was able to succeed because I am white and a man. I was born with one real advantage I can clearly see, I am lucky to have a high IQ, but that would be nothing without all the work I put in to earn my way. People need to stop putting everything down to our race and our gender. Much respect. Our country needs more minorities like to speak out.
I'm a 45 year old white guy that grew up poor as poor could be. Raised by a single mother that worked three jobs while in college.
But as a GenX kids I was raised not to see color! Seriously I was raised not to see color. Everyone I know including myself regardless of color busted our buts to be successful and made our success on our own. All of us!
It really destroys my soul because of all the racism the left has pushed into our country. Because we have been set back 100 years. I'm sorry but DEI is the modern(Jim Crow) racism.
The greatest thing about our country is you and me have the same opportunity if we work for it. I'm not saying it isn't harder or easier for some because it absolutely is. But it is more of a social economic thing. Not a race thing.
In my opinion I believe all the race baiting/hustling in our country currently is just their plan to devide us. Because remember "United We Stand, Divided We Fall!"
If our government can distract the Common folk with constant division, it allows them the opportunity to do things behind our backs and nobody will ever see it. Because everyone is too busy questioning the next man.
A society divided is easier controlled than a society United.
Under God we are all brothers and sisters. If we all start treating each other as brothers and sisters. The government and all this Propaganda will fail.
Believe in yourself, believe in your brothers and sisters. That is how we defeat the evil within these people for a prosperous life.

I handed the application back in without bothering to fill it out. When asked why I wasn't filling it in, I told the gal that I wasn't willing to apply for a job that wasn't hiring based on merit and who would do the best job. I don't want to get a job ONLY because I'm a woman. If a man is more qualified, HE should get the job. And I'm certainly not going to waste my time with the application and possibly even running around for interviews when they fully intend to hire someone who tests worse than I do because of their skin color.

Took out student loans but I took a good program (business economics and a minor in supply chain). I graduated top of my class. I was able to get a good job right away and I still had not even completely graduated yet. I still had 2 courses left to complete which I did at night working during the day. Thats how its done bam! If privilege is defined by receiving something that you haven't earned, then isn't everyone who receives welfare benefits privileged? Whos more privileged in this scenario? The individual who goes to work and pays 30% tax (3 days out of 10, you are working to provide social services) or the individual who doesn't work and food falls from the sky onto their plates, and money from other peoples labour falls into their pockets? Now, if we then want to break the welfare system into categories of race, who is over represented and under-represented? White privilege really??? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Some people who receive benefits would rather be working and living a far better life materially and spiritually who for no fault of their own lost a lot and are stuck in a system that doesn't provide a constructive way out, then there are those who won't work and have have never worked, they aren't privileged they are lazy. The rules in the UK are too black and white to allow a way out for those who want to work or to force those who won't back to work.

I think that's why both my children, now young adults in their mid & late 20's have such excellent work ethic, because their father & I taught them that nothing in this world is free & you need to work for it! When they were kids & needed money we gladly gave them money if...they shoveled the driveway, cut the grass, cleaned the bathroom, ect... They had to earn it in some way. Unfortunately that's what I think is a mistake a lot of this younger generations parents are making with their children, now we're developing a generation that thinks they are entitled for people to just give them handouts & not work for anything. I'm all for teaching morals, respect, values, good manners & work ethic. Those things sadly seem to be getting lost and not taught to children anymore 😞

    • @linusgustafsson2629
      @linusgustafsson2629 4 месяца назад

I think the prejudice mainly comes from the failures of entertainment.
We've seen the DEI employees shoved in our faces all the time showing how diverse they are, while all the movies and comics and games are failing. Making us connect failure with DEI, because they sacrifice what was loved, for virtue signaling. Employing people who are talentless, and let them produce failures without punishment.
But have we ever seen failures in other categories? Have we seen a chef fail at cooking food because he was black? Have we seen a man fail at handling orders as a waiter? Have we seen a construction worker fail because she is a woman? Overall DEI probably aren't very dangerous for plenty of jobs, but the entertainment industry makes us vary and distrustful.

You definitely earned everything you have. You are an ambitious young man who goes after what he wants. You have confidence in yourself. You are an inspiration and a positive example for others willing to put in the effort to succeed on their own merit. May God continue to bless you!

Your passion and dedication are an inspiration to anyone.
As for the young ladies question it's really easy, hire people like you and stop hiring on the grounds of DEI (Division Exclusion and Inneqality) hire people on the grounds of meritocracy, ability, competence.

I loved everything you said with one exception. It wasn't all you. No one is an island. You were given a scholarship. Worked for it or not, it was given. Give more praise to those whom assist. Your parents, mentors, friends, and strangers earned and deserve it. Keep on keeping on and God bless .
