I'm white, grew up in severe poverty, my dad had untreated borderline personality disorder and mom a narcissist. Every category of abuse, inc inside and outside the home, which btw had snakes and rats, before living in a trailer, and business storage room. My siblings and I grew up democrat, believing it to be the party of justice for the underdog. All 3 of my siblings and I worked our butts off and overcame the odds. 2 of us still with student debt 20 yrs later, but also at the tops of our fields (a doctor and exec at a top consulting firm). But my brothers and I are white, hetero, men over 40, so the Democratic party hates us most of all, followed by their hatred of Asian, then black and Hispanic hetero men. We didn't leave the party, the party left all hetero men over...really over 30, bc that's when become ineligible as cubs to divorcees over 40 who control the feminist hivemind.

Happened to me, too. I was paying for it until the premiums and deductibles became so high, and there were no doctors within an hour of me who accepted Obamacare. Thank you, President Trump who found it unconstitutional to force us to pay in. Saved me $700 in fines per year, and my income is barely above poverty level. What a slap in the face.
Yup. I had to get Obamacare for a few months when I was transitioning between jobs. I was paying almost 500 dollars for the bottom barrel insurance for with a deductible of like 6000 dollars. My doctor wouldn't even take it. I should note that I was out of work for a suicide attempt and was basically left without a means to get mental health care during this period. Luckily, not long after, the mandate was found unconstitutional, and I was in a much better place. Dropped the insurance and juat used the money I would have paid on premiums for my out of pocket therapy costs. Crazy.

Last year at the small business I was working at they started implementing healthcare benefits and had a couple different providers come out and talk to us about their options. I recommend listning to Professor Thomas Sowel, perhaps the wisest historian I have heard. He's a black gentleman who lived through the Civil Rights Era, and if anyone has a clear view on history, the political parties, and Trump, he's the one. Another excellent educator is Carol Swain. She is a black professor, historian, and educator. Her video about the parties and the myth of them switching stances is very interesting.

When I was a kid, my parents said the democrats were for the blue collar workers. Later, when I was in my 20's , I started listening to Rush Limbaugh on AM radio. He made sense and that changed everything for me. I focus on Policies, over their personality. The policies of the two parties are complete opposites. Going forward, he would argue when I'd present him with facts, and he would call me names and be disrespectful me, to the point where my friends and family were getting upset. I never voted before, I turn 50 this month. I just never thought there was anyone worth voting for. Big believer in George Carlin theory by not voting. I didn't even vote for Trump 2016 election. One year I missed the deadline for my employer's insurance so had to get Obamacare. Due to a $0.30 raise during the year, $500 was taken from my tax refund. Never went to the doctor or a clinic in that year.
When you feel confused about which side to be on think of this. One side will enter into debate, they will tell you not to take everything at face value, but do do your own research, to think for yourself and to make your own mind up, to decide for yourself what you want to believe, and to do it from an informed position. They will help you do that in any way they can, even if it doesn't paint them in the most favorable light. The other will shout down any idea they don't like and scream at you that you MUST think the way they do or you are . Which one of those treats you as an adult, capable of making your OWN mind up?
if you even think of it as taking sides, you're looking at it wrong from the start. there aint no side but your own side. you can agree with elements of both parties (not talking about the political parties, just parties of any discussion), you can disagree with elements of both parties, you can wholly agree with one party, both parties, or neither parties. the world isn't black and white. if you are making up your own mind, there is no side to be on. if your own conclusions and beliefs naturally align with the everything one of the "sides" is saying, then you could consider yourself on that side simply by happenstance. choosing a side isnt the thing you should be actively aiming for.

I took a Philosophy class in college about 9 years ago and we had to watch a conversation on RUclips between a clinical psychologist and a men's rights activist. I listened to them talk about various things I had been thinking about since I was very young regarding how men and boys are treated in modern society. However, I was in a very abusive relationship and watching more videos on the subject would have caused more trouble than I wanted to deal with at the time. Fast forward a year and I began seeking a men's group for men with partners who suffer from personality disorders. To my surprise, there were none, Anywhere. This led me down a rabbit hole not too unlike the young man who made this video. It takes time to unwind what you've been taught.
Agreed and same. I slowly distanced myself and they kept getting more and more extreme to the point where I said I'm done. People don't understand what it's like being basically brainwashed from kindergarten through college and expect us to just immediately follow conservatives blindly. We need time in between to think for ourselves and make our own conclusions without being told what to do. It can take months or even decades depending on the person. It took me a few years to fully reject the democratic ideology and I know how to help people who are questioning the liberal ideology and never to force any belief or political view on them which could push them away. That's a big issue with a lot of Republicans. I mean all democrats are like that and Republicans need to just back off and let democrats push people away and just have conversations with people who are in between. I got fined for not being able to afford healthcare under Obamacare as well, im not wealthy, never was, never will be [and im fine with that].. but his answer was to charge me almost $700.00 for it. I work full time+ and am the sole earner in our household. I have two young sons, aged 9 and 4; who only have healthcare through the state because of policies enacted by presidents long before Barack. My tax refund which is used to purchase my sons school clothes and bookbags, pencils and crayons and books; was withheld from me for not paying my fine. Think about that for a moment and let it sink in next time you think about what he did to our country. Only to find out that not having health insurance (I went without for a while since I was young and not working a dangerous job) would get me fined over $600. Can top that. My aunt and uncle were forced to go an entire winter without any heat because they were forced into obama care instead of buying a new furnace. Then my uncle did have to have medical care - and the system refused to pay any of it because the closest hospital didn't count! Top it off because they were paying for that, could not afford anything else at all, my aunt hid a heart problem she developed and didn't even tell him about it because they couldn't afford it. Then covid happened, they both lost pay to cut hours. She ended up washing dishes for a restaurant with the mask on for hours at a time, aggravating the heart problem. And suddenly passed away. Obama care and shutdowns killed my aunt and there is no other way of looking at it

Happened to me, too. I was paying for it until the premiums and deductibles became so high, and there were no doctors within an hour of me who accepted Obamacare. Thank you, President Trump who found it unconstitutional to force us to pay in. Saved me $700 in fines per year, and my income is barely above poverty level. What a slap in the face.
Yup. I had to get Obamacare for a few months when I was transitioning between jobs. I was paying almost 500 dollars for the bottom barrel insurance for with a deductible of like 6000 dollars. My doctor wouldn't even take it.
I should note that I was out of work for a suicide attempt and was basically left without a means to get mental health care during this period.
Luckily, not long after, the mandate was found unconstitutional, and I was in a much better place. Dropped the insurance and juat used the money I would have paid on premiums for my out of pocket therapy costs.

Last year at the small business I was working at they started implementing healthcare benefits and had a couple different providers come out and talk to us about their options. He's a black gentleman who lived through the Civil Rights Era, and if anyone has a clear view on history, the political parties, and Trump, he's the one. Another excellent educator is Carol Swain. She is a black professor, historian, and educator. Her video about the parties and the myth of them switching stances is very interesting.

Give your family the same opportunity to learn how to make their own way. If you pay the taxes, make it contingent upon having a lien on the property until you are paid back. Do this with a LEGAL, NOTORIZED, and binding contract.

Just FYI: you mentioned Obama care. I payed $220 a month for health insurance for a family. Obama care came out and it went up to $480 a month. That’s a nice car payment for if I get sick. Obama care was not good for Americans
One year I missed the deadline for my employer's insurance so had to get Obamacare. Due to a $0.30 raise during the year, $500 was taken from my tax refund. Never went to the doctor or a clinic in that year.
When you feel confused about which side to be on think of this.
One side will enter into debate, they will tell you not to take everything at face value, but do do your own research, to think for yourself and to make your own mind up, to decide for yourself what you want to believe, and to do it from an informed position. They will help you do that in any way they can, even if it doesn't paint them in the most favorable light.
The other will shout down any idea they don't like and scream at you that you MUST think the way they do or you are .

if you even think of it as taking sides, you're looking at it wrong from the start. there aint no side but your own side. you can agree with elements of both parties (not talking about the political parties, just parties of any discussion), you can disagree with elements of both parties, you can wholly agree with one party, both parties, or neither parties. the world isn't black and white.
if you are making up your own mind, there is no side to be on. if your own conclusions and beliefs naturally align with the everything one of the "sides" is saying, then you could consider yourself on that side simply by happenstance. choosing a side isnt the thing you should be actively aiming for.

I took a Philosophy class in college about 9 years ago and we had to watch a conversation on RUclips between a clinical psychologist and a men's rights activist. I listened to them talk about various things I had been thinking about since I was very young regarding how men and boys are treated in modern society. However, I was in a very abusive relationship and watching more videos on the subject would have caused more trouble than I wanted to deal with at the time. Fast forward a year and I began seeking a men's group for men with partners who suffer from personality disorders. To my surprise, there were none, Anywhere. This led me down a rabbit hole not too unlike the young man who made this video. It takes time to unwind what you've been taught.
Agreed and same. I slowly distanced myself and they kept getting more and more extreme to the point where I said I'm done. People don't understand what it's like being basically brainwashed from kindergarten through college and expect us to just immediately follow conservatives blindly. We need time in between to think for ourselves and make our own conclusions without being told what to do. It can take months or even decades depending on the person. It took me a few years to fully reject the democratic ideology and I know how to help people who are questioning the liberal ideology and never to force any belief or political view on them which could push them away. That's a big issue with a lot of Republicans. I mean all democrats are like that and Republicans need to just back off and let democrats push people away and just have conversations with people who are in between. Someone questioned you and That's not right. It takes however long you need it to take.

I agree with the woman in the start of the video. I was in high school while Obama was in office and then graduated. Only to find out that not having health insurance (I went without for a while since I was young and not working a dangerous job) would get me fined over $600. So I still feel to this day that I was robbed by that guy. If I ended up with a broken leg I could have used that money for that. There was absolutely no justification to fine people for that, especially people just out of school getting taken off of family insurance. That's why a lot of people don't like Obama, he robbed us.

6. Eliminated Osama bin Laden In 2011, ordered the Special Forces raid of the secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in which the terrorist leader was killed and a trove of al-Qaeda documents was retained.
7. Ended U.S. Combat Missions in Iraq and Afghanistan After an initial troop surge in Afghanistan, brought home 90 percent of the nearly 180,000 troops who were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan when he took office, leaving only a small contingent of forces to assist the Iraqi and Afghani militaries against insurgents and the Taliban. The withdrawal from Iraq created the vacuum that ISIS has filled. But, recently, without redeploying ground troops, the U.S. has helped the Iraqi military in reversing ISIS’s gains.
8. Turned Around the U.S. Auto Industry In 2009, injected $62 billion (on top of the $13.4 billion in loans from the George W. Bush administration) into ailing GM and Chrysler in return for equity stakes and agreements for massive restructuring. 13. Normalized Relations with Cuba In 2014, took steps to open diplomatic and commercial ties with Cuba, ending the failed Cold War policy of isolation. In March 2016, direct mail flights to Cuba resumed for the first time in fifty years. American tourists may also now freely visit the country.
14. Put Medicare on Sounder Financial Footing Slowed the growth of health care spending through cost-saving measures enacted as part of the ACA, ensuring the solvency of Medicare’s principal trust fund through 2028.

Protected DREAMers from Deportation Took executive action in June 2012 to protect undocumented young people brought to the U.S. as children (so-called DREAMers) from deportation and allow them to apply for work permits. 16. Established Net Neutrality Directed the Federal Communications Commission to issue a rule classifying internet service providers as a public utility and forcing them to treat all web traffic the same, regardless of source. After years of litigation, a federal court upheld the FCC’s rule, meaning providers can’t favor certain websites or block others.
17. Protected Two Liberal Seats on the U.S. Supreme Court Nominated and obtained confirmation for Sonia Sotomayor (the first Hispanic person and third woman to serve on the Court) in 2009 and Elena Kagan (the fourth woman) in 2010. They replaced David Souter and John Paul Stevens, respectively.
18. Boosted Fuel Efficiency Standards Released new fuel efficiency standards in 2011 that will increase fuel economy to the equivalent of 54.5 miles per gallon for cars and light-duty trucks by model year 2025.

Kicked Banks Out of Federal Student Loan Program, Expanded Pell Grant Funding As part of the 2010 health care reform bill, signed a measure ending the decades-old practice of subsidizing banks to provide college loans. As a result, all students began getting their federal student loans directly from the federal government. More than half of the savings ($36 billion over ten years) is dedicated to expanding Pell Grants to lower-income students.

Improved America’s Image Abroad With new policies, diplomacy, and rhetoric, reversed a sharp decline in world opinion toward the U.S. (and the corresponding loss of “soft power”) during the Bush years. Wow, I'm an old man now, when I was young I was a democrat because all of my family was. I was 16 in 1980 and that was the point I started paying attention to politics. I saw the difference, I have never voted democrat in my life.

Back then, if I couldn't afford medical insurance, I wouldn't have it. BUT then got charged for something I NEVER used during the time period.
Can top that. My aunt and uncle were forced to go an entire winter without any heat because they were forced into obama care instead of buying a new furnace.
Then my uncle did have to have medical care - and the system refused to pay any of it because the closest hospital didn't count!
Top it off because they were paying for that, could not afford anything else at all, my aunt hid a heart problem she developed and didn't even tell him about it because they couldn't afford it.
Then covid happened, they both lost pay to cut hours. She ended up washing dishes for a restaurant with the mask on for hours at a time, aggravating the heart problem. And suddenly passed away.
