“TIME OF DAY” (2018) - a rag & bone films production

- Shot over the course of six weeks on 16mm film by Greek cinematographer, Thimios Bakatakis (The Lobster and The Killing of a Sacred Deer), the new rag & bone Films short coincides with the launch of the rag & bone Fall 2018 collection. The film was shot in New York and Los Angeles and features Kate Mara, Boyd Holbrook, Pom Klementieff, Lakeith Stanfield, Reed Morano, Lake Bell, Jon Hamm and Emma Roberts. To capture the spirit of cinema verité, each character was shot by Bakatakis through a handheld approach and using available lighting.

Thom knows how to make a great god damn sountrack.
I want to understand this and the way I find I do understand is through feeling I don’t have a clue. There’s a stunning sense of disconnection, paranoia and amnesia in this film like the characters have just woken up in situations they know little about and can’t help but respond in ways that are in keeping with their character.

The time of day and the day of time, both feel in the bones.
This short shows a lot about the nature of design, of course, sells much of the winter collection, but also cares about showing the aesthetic and atypical scenarios of haute couture, the director's choice could not be more successful and the soundtrack is nothing less than an achievement
