- At the 54th New York Film Festival, we celebrated the work of Kristen Stewart, who is at NYFF with three films, with an intimate dinner and conversation benefiting the Film Society of Lincoln Center. More info: filmlinc.org/eveningwith
For the past few years, Kristen Stewart has been quietly amassing an impressive body of work, starring in enigmatic roles in complex films, including the NYFF52 selection Clouds of Sils Maria, directed by Olivier Assayas, for which she became the first American actor to win the French César award. This year feels like a culmination of this extraordinary phase of her career: she starred in five movies in 2016, the best of which are featured at NYFF: Assayas’s Personal Shopper, in which she appears in nearly every shot; Kelly Reichardt’s Certain Women; and Ang Lee’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. All three films speak to an actor constantly willing to challenge herself and her fans.
The New York Film Festival tradition known as “An Evening with” is a limited-seating event that includes an intimate dinner and conversation between an important star of the film world and NYFF Director Kent Jones. Past honorees include Pedro Almodóvar, Cate Blanchett, Ralph Fiennes, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, and more. We’re pleased to announce that this year we are offering two special nights featuring two of the brightest young actors working today.

The 17-day New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema, featuring top films from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent. The five-person selection committee is chaired by New York Film Festival Director Kent Jones and includes esteemed critics, curators, and programmers.
Since 1963, the New York Film Festival has brought new and important cinematic works from around the world to Lincoln Center. In addition to the Main Slate official selections, the festival includes newly restored classics, special events, filmmaker talks, panel discussions, an Avant-Garde showcase, and much more.

What i like bout her is that she doesnt seem to try to create that perfect image of her like the vast majority of other famous people. It seems to me that in the rare instances she really opens up in an interview you really get a glimpse into her soul so to speak.
Your admission carries the secret of her "charm", you just need to understand yourself. The most effective selling out is "natural" and "naïve" one. It's what differ million $ whore from street "babe".

Jake Gyllenhaal is another actor who I find has similar thoughts about the film making process as Kristen Stewart. I LOOOOVE Kristen and Jake and both of them truly value being raw, open, honest and as real as possible. If you watch interviews with Jake, you can see how passionate he is about what he does and his mind is as beautiful as Kristen's. I wish Kristen would do longer interviews like Jake's 30-60 minute long interviews, but it looks like she is starting to appear in some longer 20 minute interviews like this one.
