Yes, I agree with practically everything you have said. I would say, though, that as someone who has been working online for 25 years, I worry about the huge rise of self-proclaimed 'experts' on RUclips, especially in the SEO world, some of whom are frankly giving really terrible advice. But, because they have followers, viewers assume what they are saying is correct. That can be very damaging to small businesses and new website owners and there is no sheriff in town to round up the cowboys.
I've been thinking since last night that I should check metrics less often. I was just about to write a note to stick on my desk before watching the video. 😀
Great suggestions not only for marketing but for founding / entrepreneurial journeys too. Thanks and I am gonna steal some terms like "analysis paralysis".
Totally agree with authenicity. I have been seeing some RUclips channels teaching methods that, in my opinion, unethical and the funny thing is no one in the comments call those RUclipsrs out.
Thanks for this video. I appreciate it very much. About your strategy of scaling: I don't like how you scaled the new prices of Ahrefs and how you abandoned legacy plans. I am on a legacy plan and every day I struggle because you did not admit our old plans to new features. In fact, you doubled the prices.
All companies make changes to their plans over time. If you take a closer look, new plans actually offer more than the legacy ones. You can find out more about the new pricing here: help.ahrefs.com/en/articles/6148404-how-are-new-plans-different-as-compared-to-the-old-ones -Helen
@@AhrefsCom thanks for updating this page, which can be useful for us legacy plan adopters. Anyway the Lite legacy plan is in the middle between the new Lite and the new Standard plan. I mean there are also some companies who transfer the old plans to new without asking, you adopted a more subtle policy. Thanks again for your kind answer. I will follow the news in the community.
Hello Sam, excellent video. I have a question, I have seen several of your videos about keyword research and do have a huge bunch of keywords to be written about in a blog post. My question to you is what is the missing link between researched Keywords and the completed blog post. What to do after the KW research? Just start writing about the KW that we researched? Or should we group some Keywords(similar) and then write a Blog post? For e.g. if I am writing about 'Decanters' and the KD is ~10 with 5k traffic, should I write a blog post on 'Decanters' or should I search for more related keywords that could be included in my blog post? Please guide or direct me to the video that clarifies this! TIA. :D
There's no size-fits-all solution here. More keywords help you to write better about the topic. We have a video about content writing for SEO: ruclips.net/video/8BdZ0dUu7VQ/видео.html and some more videos on copywriting and keyword research on our channel here. You can check them too 🙏 -Helen

Hey! SEO and blogging are far from dead! While opinions may differ, they remain crucial in content strategy. SEO constantly evolves, and plays a key role in online presence.
More videos should be made about this. Good on you.

Cough Diggity cough
@@ChetanRaoagreed. Matt Diggity is pure snake oil. Not an ounce of real success behind his advice.
