    Good to see you show Tricky’s chanel. I can’t wait wait to see her compete in tournaments when she will be ready. As she trains with different people sometimes, perhaps you could do a training collab together. It would be interesting because your way to play Xiaoyu is different from other people. And Tricky needs to find her style.

    • @SilantroTekken
      @SilantroTekken  3 месяца назад

      Yeah she gives really good advice on people who are struggling in this game...makes you wanna think more maturely with how you handle this stressful game haha
      Watching her grow from this to a tourney would be a sight to watch haha
      I am very busy and I'm sure she is too. This video is actually just an intro on what style you want to play.
      I do think she has her own style now and I saw a stream of hers watching PLing's tourney run so in a way, she is formulating her own style with her own procedure and journey. She is more fundie and that's ok as that will always be better than my own style.

    This video has beginner material and best intentions, but the best way to learn Sodam Style is to watch his videos. there are many techniques that can only be demonstrated at the Tekken God Prime level.

    • @SilantroTekken
      @SilantroTekken  3 месяца назад

      Yep! I mean that's how I learned. This video is for anyone who wants a foundation of his style. You still need to create your own identity as a Xiaoyu player
      Everyone has their own setups and all so yeah watch Sodam if you want to be Sodam

  • @LordViktorHun88
    @LordViktorHun88 3 месяца назад

    Even though I play Ling since Tekken 3 (with hiatuses of course) I was never interested in a (my eyes) super risky dancing stuff, but if you play her, you must realize that you have to use setups with her evasive stuff and tech traps in able to win or at least get out of sticky situations, even in Tekken 8, where her basic tools got buffed. It is just a more straightforward way to be successful.
    For example even I'm at the realm of Rulers and Fujin, people still fall for a dropped combo with HYP unblockable 90% of the time, why wouldn't I use it? Or when I AOP under something.
    So I think players can be categorized on a scale, where 1 is the pure fundamentalist and 10 is Sodam himself. 😁 I was like around 2, now more a 3 or 4 as I learn to use more and more tricks, including the ones for movement. But the dancing stuff is still scary. 🤣

    • @SilantroTekken
      @SilantroTekken  3 месяца назад

      Indeed she can be played plain with Tekken 8 and tbh the HYP unblockable is like a mind wipe sometimes. I fall for it too 😂
      Going for a scale is a good idea tbh and I think that's the great thing about Xiaoyu which makes her unpredictable.
      The dancing stuff is scary coz you won't know her next move even if you are Xiaoyu player yourself 😉

    I Don know if this Will work with high level mirror match or player, i mean the dancing style, saw and fight tapsii many times, he just hold back and just poke u and punish me lol
    I think he's mixed style

    • @SilantroTekken
      @SilantroTekken  3 месяца назад

      Yep....a full on Sodam style will have a hard time with a fundie or a mixed
      Mirror matches (esp Xiaoyu) are the worst HAHA but with the dancing, yes you are at risk every time and can be poked or what...but when you control that...you'll be able to be unpredictable and all
      I myself don't have control yet with my playstyle but someone like yOReDz displays the controlled Sodam style which is a sight to watch, while someone like Mr. Croft has a great balance with his fundies and the Sodam style
      Also...dancing makes her fun to use 😁

    Hi Silantro,
    I'm worried about how to pressure my opponent with mid moves. I usually rely on low moves like db2 and RDS 3 to poke, but that becomes risky if overused. Could you give me some advice on how to effectively pressure opponents with mid moves?

    • @SilantroTekken
      @SilantroTekken  3 месяца назад +1

      Hello, there's no really answer to this as I don't want you to be flowchart-y when it comes to Xiaoyu, but I can give you some points
      When you hit db2, you are gonna be either at +5 or +18 (ON CH)...this means that there are certain moves that you can go for
      🟢 RDS 3 is 16 frames so it will come out at 11 when you input it
      Other options would be your RDS d3, or RDS 1 and can result into a CH Launcher
      If you want to continue the pressure, then go for RDS 1+2,4 which will leave you at +3 when then enemy blocks it, then follow it up with RDS 2,2,1 as that is a natural combo on hit and is 12f meaning that it will come out at 9f
      After that you can try to go for the AOP transition or the while standing state. You will be at minus BUT it is kind of safe so don't worry about it. I say this as there are characters like Claudio that has a very special hopkick.
      🟢 Now you can do the same thing but with ff3
      🟢 You can also play with your plus frames by knowing what moves will give you + on block and on hit
      🟢 Examples would be wr3 (+7 on block), ff4 (+13 on block) and so on
      - For these moves, you are gonna be in a stance either way, so go for some lows, then mids, then highs
      🟢 Don't be afraid to pressure enemies with a keepout jab (the +1 is still very helpful)
      🟢 Input d1 sometimes as it kinda acts like a forcefield if you know what I mean
      Now I know I didn't answer it with just mids...but don't be afraid to put lows and highs in the mix. You'll need them later on...so don't rely on mids alone haha

    • @SilantroTekken
      @SilantroTekken  Месяц назад

      You can do your own moves by the way after a plus frame (every Xiaoyu is different) haha
      You can try ws4 for a safer punish, will give you LOTS of pushback on block haha
      if you still use ws1,4 and it gets blocked...try your defensive stuff such as parries, mid crushes, etc
