It didn't hurt as bad as the welding on it.... I've seen better looking exhaust welds from jack stands and harbor freight 120volt flux core mig... buy a professional tig welder, take some classes and have some pride in your work rather than your aftermarket parts.
I have an '07 Trailblazer LT with the 5.3 LH6 and the first thing I did to it was delete the exhaust and do basically what you guys did here. It made a world of difference in the power and sound of the SUV. I have loved it since I bought it back in 2008. Great vehicle
I just got lucky, I made a trade for a 2005 trailblazer ext with the 5.3. Got a 3 inch lift, Chevy truck tires and new wheel adapters, bilstein shocks. I’m trying to figure out if it has DOD because I heard somewhere that the trailblazer 5.3s don’t have the AFM but I’ve seen other claims that contradict that. Does anyone know if that’s true?
@@gabeh.5061 As far as I know all of the EXT models were 5.3L. The Short Wheel Base model mainly had an inline 6 (4.2L I think?) but there are a few with the 5.3L. I found an 06 SWB with the 5.3L at a police auction a few years ago. Still my daily and it's a pretty damn good rig. As far as the AFM or DoD or whatever they call it, I think that started in 2006, so you should have all 8 firing all the time. I got a Range Tech oBD2 plug in deal that overrides the AFM and keeps it in V8 all the time, so its not that big of a deal. About $150.
A muffler the size of the new TrailBlazer they should have named the Tracker. I hadn't noticed how large those mulmfflers are until today. It measured around 29" to 30" long.
Love these SUVs the tbss rare. Even rarer the dealer ordered optioned 6.0 rwd envoy Denali 07-08. They both handle well and are rare. Get one and hold on to it maybe even a 5.3 XUV Denali package was also very rare.
I have a 2007 gmc envoy denali with the 5.3 looking for some suggestions on exhaust. Want something to give throaty tough sound but not too loud. Don't want cabin drone. What would you suggest? Send part # too
I prefer the 5.3L sound. The TBSS is too raspy...sounds too much like an old jalopy with a hole in the muffler. I have a stock 2008 TBSS and I don't want to change it for fear it will sound like that TBSS.
What’s the difference between putting the muffler in the front versus near the back? I have a 08 Envoy Denali with the 5.3L and I’m not sure where to put the flow master super 10. Which spot would be louder?
sounds great! i have a set of mini race bullets was gonna use on my Challenger, but just did a muffler delete and turned out perfect. so i have these, was thinking about replacing the rear mufflers with them on my new 300S w/Hemi. cus i did a mid-muffler delete on it as well, and it's still too quiet! you think they would work similar to resonators like on the R/Ts, those canister looking ones? cus i want it a little louder, but no drone..
I'm really confused about the 5.3 Trailblazer. Is there a specific trim level that come with the 5.3 like the Envoy Denali? The only answer I get from the web is that it was optional from factory.
GMC you really gotta check those TPMS systems out. cuz both of these vehicles have the same thing on the dash display Go GMC best TPMS system designs!! can't anybody make a TPMS system the right way?
Any engine at all. Poor oil pressure means that either your oil pump, or your connecting rod bearings are shot. Both will, if not corrected shortly, blow your engine.
In a 5.3 LS it's possibly oil sensor filter clogged up or oil pickup tube o ring. Trailblazer and TBSS have more of an issue with rod knock due to pickup design & hard launches, oil pan baffle, 7-8qts or c6 oil pan are a few fixes I believe pcm of nc has a better designed oil pickup even. Sensor is actually on/off and that's a dummy gauge projected from pcm via rpm and some other data including oil sensor reading yes there is pressure
ANNNNDDDD now your THAT GUY, you know the one that wakes up all the neighbors with a overly loud for no reason vehicle thats a rare find the SS that is which should be left alone.stupid stupid stupid,it was so loud you couldnt even hear the guy talking,im sure the drone is so bad the guy has already regretted doing this crap.
Can't go wrong with either, but that 6.0!
Those of us that have the tbss and know how rare and special they are, it really hurt to see him say it had the 5.3 and how little he knew about them😁

where did he say the SS has a 5.3. They even labeled it 6.0. Unless i missed it. But those welds are off.
It's more the lack of chevy knowledge
5.3 is a tank! I got one on my trailblazer ext, it has a flowmaster super 10 which makes it sound real nice. :)

Both are great, but the SS with the 6.0 LS2 wins out in my opinion.
5.3 trailblazers are hard to find
Tell me about it!
Here in Chicago I’ve seen some but overpriced or high miles.

Definitely hard too find! I only find the v6s and the SS-es!
@@pretzl420 okay thank you! I saw the range finder thing and wasn’t sure if it actually worked
To be fair, the 6.0 had high flow cats and the 5.3 didnt
That check engine light though
The paint scheme on that 5.3 is sharp
These trucks deserve duel exhaust pipes..
Both sound great, but keep a eye on the oil pressure on the LT 5.3.
Yea, it didn't budge.
Hell yeah that 6.0 sounds good
I had that exhaust set up on my 5.3 Buick Rainier
6.0 sounds so much better. It is a more performance oriented engine than the 5.3 is

Welds are 6/10 but man it sounds good
ALL the GM trucks after sounding like that? BEAST MODE!! 😎👍🏾🥳😆
Both sound great,nice work!!
They both need dual pipes out the back looks weird without 5.3 is to quiet 6.0 sounds decent need headers on both to project sound
Yeah but apparently it's louder with a single pipe versus dual pipes

How did it sound with the straight pipe and a tail pipe resonator
the best videos 🤩🤩🤩

6.0 for sure

It was just optional. Could be had on any trim.
Have any more 4.0 mustang vids :(
You need a new welder🤢
I love your videos but just so y’all know trailblazers with the 4.2 and the 5.3 have a factory rev limiter that only lets you rev up to 3200 RPMS
I think you can get past that when you shift into neutral and pull the parking brake up...
Not on my 05 envoy Denali 5.3

I have a 5.3 that I want to rebuild and mod so bad but it needs work that I can’t afford.
I’m with you. I have a ISS. She is hungry and thirsty, all of the time.
Your 5.3 guy needs to learn how to rev
I though the v8s were only available for the ext version and SS?
Both the ss and the 5.3 trailblazer
Are hard to find and are very overpriced. And they all have high miles
Rev it up more ya like wtf
