Those indeed are some nice trains. The last one of 163 ordered has just been delivered last year, they were built over a span of 12-13 years. First test rides were in 2011 if I remem correctly. Right now the next generation of trains in already in development, the DT-6. It will look similar, but will feature four instead of three carriages over roughly the same length, which allows for a wider cabin. These trains will be built in two versions: one classic version with a cab for manual driving, and one fully automatic version, without cabs as well, these will run on the new line U5 which is under construction.
THe white one is the DT4 it is really old yes but should be replaced in the future by the DT6 which is a new Revision of Hamburg's U-Bahn the Silver one is the DT5 that was Produced in 2013-2023
