Kira actually portrays his mental illness well. It's not like he doesn't know that society deems murder wrong, but he really doesn't have mortality or empathy. He was even baffled when he had a brief moment of caring for Shinobu. And a lot of his things like toe nail clippings, needing to fix the socks and his hand collection may not be rational to us, but to him it's as basic as how we know killing is wrong. Easily my favorite villain.
Good video, yet because I am a crazed jojo fan no different than the rest of the fan base, I have to point out that Kira did not stalk kosaku previous to assuming his life. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or at the very least, we have no proof that Kira was stalking him.
I love how Kira wanted to "live a quiet" life yet everything he ever did, from being a sociopathic killer to where he chose to live, had the complete and total opposite effect on his life. Kira feels like such a genuine mastermind and threat too, more than Pucci even in my eyes. Pucci was merely following in Dio's footsteps and just kinda resets the universe before getting his skull caved in by a kid and his stand, while Kira actually erases people from the timeline with his abilities which is genuinely far more frightening.
Kira being the best villain, I agree with. Josuke, I don't have too strong of an opinion on. Barely gets any character development. Josuke has good fashion, tho.
6:07 something to add is that Kira is IN the opening of Crazy Noise Bizarre Town, during where the silhouettes of characters are flying across the screen. It's going so fast that it's easy to not notice him

But then there was an episode where a guy appeared throwing logs and boulders around like it was nothing and that didn't even care when his fingers were cut off, and this really, REALLY anoyed me and i stopped watching. Should i go back to it?
Because kira wasn't just some mindless bad guy looming dreadfully in the background. If you didn't know the full story, kira would seem like a normal guy with a stand. And in some cases, even a good guy, like when he took out shigechi.
ok so I pressed the "end" button on my keyboard by mistake and it did the perfect video "What sticks out to first time viewers of the series is how... REAL Kira is- *end of the video* " And I found it funny so here I am, telling a thing nobody cares about
"Josuke, you've fallen right into my trap. You really are a Diamond is Unbreakable." i burst into tears when he said this in the theater, it was almost as impactful as when Josuke said "No, you're wrong. The real Crazy Noisy Bizzare Town was inside me all along!" 10/10 bravo vince gilligan

I loved Pucci. It helps that Pucci and Kira, who are tied for my favorite villains in anything ever, are both actually super competent and good at what they do.
Part 4, is literally "Teenage boys try finding hand stealing murderer, murderer wants to live a peaceful live with a preserved hand, murderer puts hand in McDonalds bag, explodes child with a very weird skull, murders another child, plays with dead child's toes and fixes his sock, fights teenagers and adult, then gets incapacitated and hit by an ambulance."
8:08 I think the thing that makes Kira's theme so remarkable is how it sort of feels like it's telling a story. A lot of the other villains have songs that are meant to demonstrate either their massive presence or the dread they command. With Kira, however... It starts off with this innediately unsettling piano. Then it oresents this wimsical score that still has this sense of "wrong" to it. And then, there's the chaos that plays in the other half, as if the score itself is seeing the kind of monster Kira is
Even Diavolo and Pucci... Pucci's problem is he thinks he's helping humanity but it will only make their Earthly existence completely meaningless when they already know how things will unfold. That's definitely a hellish existence if you ask me. And he's not even aware of it. Just like how Wes says how he's the kind of evil who doesn't know he's evil.
when i started jojo's, the only stands i recognized (like i've seen them before and now i'm just seeing them for the first time) were star platinum (obvious) and killer queen bcuz he's just so iconic. the lil cat ears and the resting bitch face. it's just perfect
The whole Kosaku Kawajiri arc is a reference to the first Hellraiser. Even how Josuke finds out Kira's identity is taken from how Pinhead hears Frank confess. Same with Kira and Frank being ripped to bits.

Aside from Pucci(who also loses in the end), Kira's one of the villains who successfully killed the entire cast and could have won if one smol boi wasn't there to mess his plans up.
what I loved about Yoshikage Kira so much is how human he is. he's pretty much representing the dark side of society of any city. he pretty much humanizes what we would deem as socitel monsters even tho they just normal people. I started to kind of relate to him when he took over the family and starts to become as good of a husband and as good of a father to his troublesome child but just like many of us, he failed. all of us have relationships that we try our absolute best to make it fruitful whether be it lovers, friends, parents etc but at some point we fail at that and that's what Kira gone through too. in this moment he became the reactive role while the protagonists became the active role of the story, seeing his inner monologues and his nervous state of mind as well he's no way a genius but the way how he strategies is maticulous asf and anyone can be as maticulous as kira omg I love this character so much. nux taku made very accurate vid on Kira go watch it!
Griffith from Berserk and Yohan from Monster are without a doubt above Ascalad and Kira as all time villains. But I can’t argue that those two are still in top ten. Kira especially. Such a brilliantly written villain. Great video. sub earned
Kira’s “Question for ya” when he met Koechi was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in an anime, the delivery of the lines in my opinion is what made him so good, in both the English and Japanese versions Kira’s voice is perfect and really made this character come together.
My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

The best part is that episode 12 isn't even the first time we see him on screen(I'm pretty sure, been a while since I've seen part 4). At the end of either the first or second episode, when Josuke and Koichi just finished encountering Angelo's stand, we pan out to a crowd of by standers, where we can spot the silhouettes of several stand users we'll see in later episodes(Keicho and Okuyasu, Yukako, Hazamada, etc) and I think one of the silhouettes is Kira. Not to mention that opening scene to the first episode isn't the only time we see this morning routine with the severed hand before he's formally introduced

Alright.
Guess I'll put my hat in the ring.
Hello fellow spectrum individuals. Yes, that _is_ something I do as well. For example. My laptop doesn’t have any inherent USB ports, so I have a USB-C adapter I plug in. _If I do not _*_KNOW_*_ where that thing is I’m going to upend my entire room looking for that shit._

Kira is my favorite villian in jojo. Can't explain why but I love him :)
btw Congrats on 100k Chewie!
Araki be like- "Lets put the best JoJo and the best villian of the whole series in the same f*cking part."
Kira being the best villain, I agree with.
Josuke, I don't have too strong of an opinion on.
Barely gets any character development.
Josuke has good fashion, tho.
Valentine and Johnny are both 10 times better
Your statement is actually true since Joseph indeed makes an appearance in part 4
Part 8
Josuke is an ass Jojo. Joseph is much better
“Kars’ outfit. What outfit?” Got me rolling on the floor
6:07 something to add is that Kira is IN the opening of Crazy Noise Bizarre Town, during where the silhouettes of characters are flying across the screen. It's going so fast that it's easy to not notice him
Can’t wait for the Vinland Saga video. I swear nobody talks about it
Dude, i started watching Viland Saga right when it started to Air and i was watching it weekly.

5:32 It was my problem on DiU, but then once the villain was explained, it makes a whole lot of sense. My brain also didn't acknowledge the first episode (I think), a hand as a corpse to introduce the lively Morioh Music. I repeat, it didn't register to me, that there was a serial killer as the villain, It didn't click at all, I didn't even question it.
"Oh a severed hand cooing breakfast, boy jojo really IS bizarre"
i love the vids when cheewie just meat rides certain characters lol
what i like about kira is he didn't even had sad backstory like most of anime villain
from a kid he had a common and healthy family, his family support him,he had a good life best life even
he's just a serial killer with a hand fetish and a good life and it's scary as hell
he didn't have any like big or good motivation like funny valentine or some anti hero or shit
dude ia just a serial killer wanted a quite life and also perfectly blend among people
At this point you are glazing kira. And you know what? I fucking love you for it because kira is my favourite villain
All through high school I used Kira's theme as an alarm clock..... I now have flashbacks whenever I hear it
This was an awesome video chewie and i can also safely say that kira is in my top 5 manga villains the others being raoh(fotns),garou(opm),baran(fotns),sirene(devilman)

Killer video man, only bad part is I now have to find the time to reread part 4.

I think the thing that makes Kira's theme so remarkable is how it sort of feels like it's telling a story.
A lot of the other villains have songs that are meant to demonstrate either their massive presence or the dread they command. With Kira, however... It starts off with this innediately unsettling piano. Then it oresents this wimsical score that still has this sense of "wrong" to it. And then, there's the chaos that plays in the other half, as if the score itself is seeing the kind of monster Kira is
Mate put in a completely unrelated small clip of seperate ways for no reason. My hero.
Bro just failed whe he said "I don't even know what Diavolo's theme sounds like" it's most iconic villain song i've ever heard
agreed with this
Even Diavolo and Pucci...
Great job Chewie.
(Also congratulations on one hundred thousand subscribers)
0:40 no it's Blueford formerly known as bruford
when i started jojo's, the only stands i recognized (like i've seen them before and now i'm just seeing them for the first time) were star platinum (obvious) and killer queen bcuz he's just so iconic. the lil cat ears and the resting bitch face. it's just perfect
The whole Kosaku Kawajiri arc is a reference to the first Hellraiser. Even how Josuke finds out Kira's identity is taken from how Pinhead hears Frank confess. Same with Kira and Frank being ripped to bits.
0:36 *watch out for a flying human looking bird coming to your house tomorrow*
9:13 the clicking sound is also the same sound used at the start of “killer queen” by queen, they just changed the sound a little bit

4:50 Dio did twice.
First Jonathan beat him up after what he did to Erina. He fake cried Jonathan of how cruel Jonathan is.
Second while being arrested. He put up a pretty speech for Jonathan to lower his guard so he can attack with a knife and wear the mask.
Bro that thumbnail tho, I'm dying dog 💀
You said that Dio or Kars would never cry to win, but in early part 1, Dio pretends to cry and be hurt when Johnathan hits him so he could stab him.

Diavolo is so silent, not even Chewie knows about him
what I loved about Yoshikage Kira so much is how human he is. he's pretty much representing the dark side of society of any city. he pretty much humanizes what we would deem as socitel monsters even tho they just normal people. I started to kind of relate to him when he took over the family and starts to become as good of a husband and as good of a father to his troublesome child but just like many of us, he failed. all of us have relationships that we try our absolute best to make it fruitful whether be it lovers, friends, parents etc but at some point we fail at that and that's what Kira gone through too. in this moment he became the reactive role while the protagonists became the active role of the story, seeing his inner monologues and his nervous state of mind as well he's no way a genius but the way how he strategies is maticulous asf and anyone can be as maticulous as kira
omg I love this character so much. nux taku made very accurate vid on Kira go watch it!
Griffith from Berserk and Yohan from Monster are without a doubt above Ascalad and Kira as all time villains. But I can’t argue that those two are still in top ten. Kira especially. Such a brilliantly written villain. Great video. sub earned
Johan * Monster (is my fav )and berserk are truly masterpieces, one of the best animes ever created, now we just need a better adaptation of berserk ❤
So many other villains too

Kira’s “Question for ya” when he met Koechi was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in an anime, the delivery of the lines in my opinion is what made him so good, in both the English and Japanese versions Kira’s voice is perfect and really made this character come together.
hes an awesome villain, love him as a character, but if i ever see him on the street its on sight
Amazing video . Even tho i think villains like aizen Griffith and meruem are better think kira ( dabetable) but i can still see kira is one of the best villain in anime in general he is my second fav villain after valantian
