      Is there a way to use dark magician as Material for dragoon ? Because of the first effect
      What kind of searcher would you recommend to get the magician on the hand?

    I think dragoon gets undersold. It's not merely an omni-negate, which would already be strong enough. It's also a card that is almost impossible to out by decks like Unchained (which relies on destruction) and RACE (which relies on targeting) since dragoon is immune to both. Add a single monster negate, either via mirror swordknight or even just a simple imperm/veiler means that even if your opponent is playing Ty-Phon, they can't do anything against your Dragoon. As long as its managed to negate and destroy one thing, it's at 4000 attack, which means almost nothing can crash through it.

    I like the combos you show. I play Chimera for a month and a half now and it's delicious to see how many combos you can make with just one card in this deck. I like to had here some of the tips i learned from playng :
    - The End of Anubis is a difficult tec because he blocks YOUR GY entierely when he remained on th field (your negates, the fusions, the chimera fusion and even the effect of gazelle and berphomet), so, when you play him, you must have a way to discard him from the field (a fusion, a link...),
    -You can make the combo where you summon the statue-barrier (or anubis, tiger-king...) during your opponent's turn, you can summon your fusion Berphomet during this time to trigger a second time your Berphomet, so you can have a fusion to rid off your floodgate from the field during your next turn,
    -Don't underestimate the GY effect of Rindbrumm ! You can use it to turn one of your opponent's monsters in Mirrorjade (or Sprind if you use it in your deck),
    -Don't sleep to much on Chimera, the Illusion Beast. A single attack position monster can make the difference !
    -Summon your Illusion monsters in Defence. They can protect you except if your opponent have some way to play Chaos MAX or some monsters like that.
    -I like Branded in Red because it is a good way to have Magnum the Reliever or Dragostapelia on your field when your already used your Chimera plays,
    -Remember all of these combos are just one card combo. It means you can make an even greater board with some complementary engines like Cartesia or the Edge Imp package (this one can make your Guardian Chimera untargeatable with the original Poly in the GY). Or you have the room to play a lot of handtraps and/or boardbreakers-like cards (Fenrir, Super Poly...).
    -Finally, as a general advice for Branded-like players, stay extremely cautious about the state of the game in your GY. Everything happens here and it's very simple to forget some actions at the pace of the game in general. Can you activate the effects of your fusion ? Have you used the effects of Gazelle and Berphomet as materials ? Have you retrieved your Branded Chimera ? When did this Albion the Branded Dragon go there ? Have you send a fusion monster for Cartesia earlier in the turn ? For me, i trained this by looking in my GY at the end of phases where a lot of things happens (especially M1). It's more important if you play with the despia package (opening can protect your fusion monsters from destruction).
    In all, Chimera is a deck fairly simple to play. It's your typical midrange deck with simple lines and a lot of interactions with your opponent. Because of this, it's a little hard to master because you must know when you can activate your effects. But you can become better as a player because your interactions are specialised negates and non-targeatable destruction. Also, this deck can be a little weak sometimes against combo decks where some lines don't make enough interactions to overcome (but you can manage to survive with your illusions).
    I hope this "little" commentary have helped you in some way (even if you don't play the deck). And sorry if my english is bad sometimes (i'm french).

    Great video, id like to add some of my favorite tips
    1) use anubis as bait and then negate with chimera
    2)run 2 berfomet fusion and not 2 gazelle fusion for infinite looping
    3)run evenly matched because the deck struggles going second UNLESS you can otk ;)

      How does two berfomet fusions result in an infinite loop? Can’t summon itself from banish. Sorry new to the deck

    Hey man, you've been my go to for learning Chimera and I just wanna say thanks so much for that. on Master Duel, I don't have all of the cards you listed for the deck since many are UR. But I've substituted Despia, Theater of the Branded for some of the fusion spells and it's been surprisingly useful since it's a field spell and you can use it continuously. I'm wondering if you've ever tried it and have any thoughts?

      I don't think he's really worth it at the moment, I've only found him good with nightmare magician, and that card is only good in a simplified game state.

      Yeah it's a lot of investment for just guaranteeing you survive a turn. Feels better to not do that a lot

      If you open branded fusion + chimera starter you can make a mirror jade next to the statue to protect it

      If you run branded in red you can search it with kitt and its the same combo without versago or dragoon and you have branded in red set to stop in battle with quimera guardian and protect the statue. In my opinion is the best combo!

    1:51 why is the deck able to chain block when doing this exact play? I thought chainblocking was only possible with mandatory "when" effects.

    • @connormccarthy6741
      @connormccarthy6741 Год назад +1

      No, chainblocking occurs when you have multiple effects that go off simultaneously, allowing you to choose the order of where they go in the chain.
      Because Chimera, Berfomet and Gazelle’s effect conditions all happen at the same time, you can choose at what point in the chain they fall into, with the opponent only being allowed to interact with the last card in the chain. In this instance, DAD went Cl1 Gazelle (to add), Cl2 Berfomet (to special from GY) and Cl3 Chimera (to make opponent lose card in hand during EP).
      The same kind of plays happened back in Branded / Swordsoul format where the branded player upon summoning Lubellion with Albaz & Tragedy, would go Cl1 Tragedy, Cl2 Lubellion, preventing the opponent from interacting with the adding effect of Tragedy. Another example is with the Swordsoul player where they would synchro summon into Chixiao using Mo Ye as material, here they would go Cl1 Chixao (to add card from deck to hand), Cl2 Mo Ye (to draw a card). This chain lock prevents your opponent from using ash blossom on the chixao as they can now only interact with Mo Ye with hand traps.

    I like the idea of running albion the sanqtifire dragon and going into both it and the new chimera fusion and send D/D orthos to the grave, pass turn and put the orthos onto opponets side. Unfortunately i havent been able to do it in real life bc i cant find a copy of it without ordering one.

    • @ProfessionalYouTubeWatcher
      @ProfessionalYouTubeWatcher Год назад +1

      I tried it before and tbh it's not that good because for the combo to work you need branded fusion and berfomet to go through and usually the opponent has 1 hand trap and if they stop you while doing that combo you are usually screwed also it doesn't work on unchained :(

    GUARDIAN CHIMERA
    cannot use 3 from hand
    3 monsters with different names
    Must first be Fusion Summoned using only Fusion Materials from your hand and field, with at least 1 monster from each.

    • @DarkArmedDuelist
      @DarkArmedDuelist  Год назад

      I didn't use 3 from hand, that's why I stated that you can use 2 from field and 1 from hand or 2 from hand and 1 from field. This means you can get a draw 2 and a pop or 2 pops and a draw.

  • @kevinc.8885
