- We return again to the Central Coast for a second look at bus and train operations in the 1980s.
In this 1986 episode, join me for a bus ride in Peninsula MO-9336 from Gosford station down to Woy Woy station.
Along the way, we see business and vehicles from the era, other buses and a brief look at the former Gosford Racecourse branchline crossing.
As always, these old videos were taken on early video camera equipment with little thought given to tripods, or similar luxuries.
They are what they are.
Plenty more Central Coast transport history to come. If this interests, please consider subscribing so you will be notified when each becomes available.
Mostly because I am forgetful and often forget to mention it all the relevant groups. :-)

Great memories hard to realise the road was so poor leading into Gosford... loved looking at all the old Aussie made cars as well..
Thank you for sharing.
Mate, it's a pleasure. I am just wrapped that people are enjoying this stuff.
Never dreamed of something like the internet back then.
The Pacific highway leading out of Gosford had such a rural feel to it. All the road upgrades have ruined it and made it feel too suburban now. Thus was a real trip down memory lane, even though I don't remember how this road was at this time. It just brings back the warm feeling I used to have when I visited Gosford and Woy Woy as a child in the 80s. It has changed!!
gosh took me back and as soon as i saw it, could remember so much. was pre mcD near where the caltex was. :)
Yet I could see the golden arches.
Great video, I love looking at all the Aussie built cars, especially the x series Falcons, plus the people and the land/sreet scape, thanks for sharing
Awesome memories.8:40 has a shot of my old van I used to own...wow great memories Thank You...:)
Really, that yellow van? Thats an amazing coincidence.
Thanks for the comments mate. Have some more footage of Central Coast buses back the. It is hiding in a big pile of DVDs.
What a great engine sound.. luv it..
Was the driver Bill Reid? He drove 9336. The voice on the 2 way is Bette Caunt, I think. Horrible roundabout at Blackwall Rd!!
I honestly couldn't tell you.
Thank you so much for sharing such a great memory.
Robert Nicholson My pleasure. Glad that people are liking them
