If the sun was shining, this must have been a great "day at the office" for Mean Mary. Major kudos to whoever dreamed this clip up- its artistry is terrific, and without pretension. The red dress billowing in the clear torquoise sea is a masterstroke, IMO, As an old-timer who,(among another umpteen jobs and hobbies) used to dive for scallops , I noticed that the seabed looked like perfect scallop territory, but there was not a one to be seen-- dredged clean, perhaps? No fish either, sad to observe: Green weenies get on my nerves as they all top often greatly overstate their case, but in my lifetime I've seen both seas and rivers become much less vital-- working offshore in the 80s. the water round North Sea oil rigs would, on occassion, look as if it was boiling, as massive shoals of fish would sometimes appear, attracted by the warmer water and the food waste dumped overboard. Much less common nowadays, sadly. I'm also intrigued by the deep bomb hole-like depression in the seabed at 3:52--4:31 Anyone out there got any ideas as to how it formed?

Let alone when she paralyzed half her vocal cords in a car accident back in the early 2000's, and recovered. Can't help but wonder if that gives her voice that faint 'shake' that makes her unique.
Mary, I don't know if you ever read these comments but I want to let you know how powerful this song is. I was in Afghanistan in the war. Many friends were killed or hurt there. Many more have hurt themselves here at home. I often find myself standing at the edge not knowing what to do. Life is a struggle. Sometime I cannot remember why the struggle is worth it or why I do it. I do not fully understand the lyrics but I also cannot explain my thoughts and feelings. All I do know is how this song explains it perfectly.
