- Hailed as the most faithfully filmed adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary characters. This acclaimed series stars Ronald Howard as the world-famous sleuth and H. Marion Crawford in a different portrayal of Dr. Watson than usual.
THE CASE OF THE SINGING VIOLIN: Guy Durham loses control of his step-daughter Betty's wealth on the day she marries. Oddly, she's been seeing frightening apparitions since her engagement. Her fiance thinks something is fishy and goes to see Holmes, but is gunned down in the street. Holmes, Watson and Lestrade head to the shady mental hospital where Guy has Betty committed before she's put away for good.
Only one more Sherlock Holmes to watch!!! What shall I do? How can I go on living without more Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson episodes? Oh, I know! I'll watch them all over again!!!
Did you watch them in the correct episode order? If not, now you can on your second pass.
@@PizzaFLIX No, I watched them in the order that I saw on your site. It will be nice to watch them in their proper order. Many thanks!
@@PizzaFLIX They are not listed in chronological order on your site. I see some out of place. I can look up the list and see the proper order. Thank you for having them!
oh dear, the last one - this has become one of my favorite Sherlock Holmes. Ronald Howard was charming, H. Marion droll and a great foil, Lestrade flummoxed (and Scottish), and all the supporting cast wonderful. The bantering back and forth was so well done. (found a few actors i quite liked a lot.)
i can't thank you enough for introducing this whole series to me.
Let the cheese also be with you :}
Thanks for watching! May the Sauce be with you.
@Alexa Penn, just watching all of them again fine cast 💐💐💐💝
"After what you just witnessed, aren't you aware that my step daughter is losing her mind?"
"She never told me"
LOL
yes, a very amusing line. I laughed too.
😅😂😅😅😅!
Hilarious!
what a shame this only lasted for 39 episodes. I would've like a 1000
Another fine episode of "Sherlock Holmes" with a good primary and supporting cast. It is now toward the end of the year 2017 and this 63 year old series still holds its own in plot, pacing, and acting.
It is now towards the end of 2021 and the series still holds up...
Cheers 'till 2026. ;*p
@PizzaFlix thanks a million, your uploads have helped me immensely while I remained hospitalised for almost 3 and a half months. God bless you. Goofy Lestrade never failed to bring smile on my sick face. God bless you with health, wealth, prosperity and wisdom.

You don't want to tangle with Dr. Watson . He's got a mean left hook 🤜😖
Not too bad with a whip either!
Held his own against 4 men, he did!
I love how he can put the criminals in a hospital so fast!
Watson was involved in fighting 4 men . . . And he was holding his own ! lol.
He's a gentle giant. 🥰
Thank you for posting all of these Sherlocks.
Sherlock is brilliant and well framed by Dr. Watson
Brilliant? He got himself locked in a closet and was helpless because of his bumbling ?? Not brilliant.
Pizzaflix, thank you so so much! I will watch again probably several times. So many rich little nuances and touches in this old b&w films. Delightful!
So sad this is the last episode on the list.. this has been so fun
Sherlock is good but i think Watson and lestrade are better in this series than any other
Just finished episode 39 really enjoyed them all.Thank you.😊
I don't think in real life when someone hears a scream in the night then take time to put on house rope first, before checking on loved ones.
I thought so too. lol
I'm pretty sure in Victorian England they would have burned alive before running out not properly dressed
Oh ney ney. I always throw on my robe and slippers as I jump out of bed for an emergency 😂
ROBE
Sargent Wilkins is the best actor. Very humorous fellow.
bluenetmarketing No one I know even owns a housecoat
So when someone is screaming you get dressed before going to their rescue?
My favorite Sherlock Holmes is played by Jeremy Brett but I have to admit I am rather enjoying this series. 😊🤗❤
Crawford and Howard are great together!!
9:15 This was found in his hand 8:03 and not in his pocket.
The Wilkins character was superbly played with great writing acted wonderfully.
This is very good, I just discovered the series. One remarque though : in the original stories by Doyle, Holmes was really a very gifted amateur violinist.
In the story of Doyle Watson reported Holmes as a gifted violinist, He doesn't say anything else here in his face
This girl doesn’t know how to scream
Ahem, do you have any idea of who "this girl" is?
Sounds like she is part crow
Agreed xx
@@GeorgeAddison87 no. Who is she? Actually, I have had cause to scream, and the way it came out was really disappointing too.
@@elinannestad5320 You're beyond help, then.
A puzzle to me, in movies of screaming, banging on doors, sirens coming, explosions in the front yard... Before checking out what is going on, they have to put on robes and slippers...But oh love these films. Thank you for posting them so very much.
But don't ask "who is it? before opening the door, or locking it behind you! But you can leave the candles and oil lamps burning!
Same thought cross my mind:))
I can share part of the reason why they do the slipper robe thing.. back then they did not have good heat in the houses. A cold floor is painful to walk on.. another reason was snobby.. only the lowest, poorest most disgusting people went without shoes, bare feet where like nudeity to the upper classes.
@@brierobb9879 Bare feet is nudity to me here in Colorado. They don’t go outside on this, but were you to go out here rocks and such would slow you down or injure you since everything isn’t paved...but then where it is you can worry about glass too. People are quite vulnerable without slippers and since they’re right by your bed, why not slip them on?
Victorian England, y'know. Propriety was just done without thinking about it.
This Watson is brave not bumpling like the Watson's on other Sherlock Holmes series.
The way I scream, I could almost play the pig tailed girl... But I'd faint for real!
Hmm... If all she has to do is sleep... Maybe a cat could, too... 🙄
Thanks! Fine entertaining episodes of Sherlock Holmes episodes.
No, not as good as the series with Jeremy Brette. Jeremy was the most credible Holmes.
These are some of the greatest shows, thanks.
Thank you very much for posting these. I remember when it was first uploaded a few years ago this series was the first thing I ever watched in english. It has been lovely to come back and still find it so very entertaining. Sadly, I didn't know that only those 39 episodes where produced and I had always wondered whether you had uploaded any other ones since 2013. I had never checked but now I do know that this is the last one.
I love SHERLOCK HOLMES

many actors who have played Sherlock Holmes on stage,
screen, radio and TV adaptations.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obrigada por listar
Very enjoyable!!!!
Even when they are rotten, they are so polite!
The event at 15 minutes about the previous House Keeper Maid and her having been recently Discharged reminded me of the part of the Documovie's "Kurt And Courtney" got onto a recently Dismissed House Keeper Maid who talked about 'Too Much Will Talk'.
It's not screaming this girl does it's just noise my daughter's can scream better
1:55That is the lamest, weakest scream I've ever heard.
The British make such a big deal out of tea.
Would you prefer a "biscuit or a scone"?
it helped in the Blitz. Think of that! There must be something in it.
And why not? It's the most consumed beverage in the world.
@@michaelwertzy9808Crumpet, if you please.
He's got to be the dumbest Lestrade of them all ! Scotland Yard would never employ anyone like that to be an inspector , would they ? Anyway , after watching a few of these episodes , you very much begin to love all the characters !! Very enjoyable !! But not to be taken too seriously !
umm - like it's mostly played for comedy!! and who takes fantasy seriously anyway??!! :}
Excellent
Yea one I haven't seen before 👍🏻🤓😎🙈
It feels like this episode was particularly filled with flaws, Sherlock listening to an active murder conversation with the door wide open while there is a loud fight next to him. But the noise is only noticed once Shelock has closed the door. That killed the episode
the actor who played Watson has a curse all his family died young his kids himself died at 55 and that's extra long life in this family and even his grandfather died young when he was a drill Sargent a grenade blew up in his hand killing him instantly
Well, what kept you so long?
Says the guy who gets himself trapped in the closet.
My name is not Dell but Bernard my question is to anyone has anyone made money from Michael Crawford
How did her step-father effect that ghostly image? And why did she not recognise that it was him?🤔👻

they could hear the scream but not the singing violin? it was kinda loud too
👍👍👍💕 thank you‼️
Great watch! Come check out www.longboxcrusade.com/ to hear me and three other dudes talk about this episode and the entire Ron Howard series (eventually!)
That made very little sense
Basil Rathbone plays the violin better than ron Howard I think
Some exciting moments were provided while watching the wise and timely intervention of Holmes, analysing the reasons behind making the step daughter mad and trying killing her, killing fiancee and the mystery of accumulating fortunes.
At 2:06 she's not a music lover then. You'd have to be Hopelessly Mad not to love the fiddle.
The story reminds me of The Speckled Band.
Funny kinda scream. I could do better..lol
Harry Tobin was in a few of these. Belfast actor though he was billed as Harris Towbin. A bit actor like Sam Kyde.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good grief are any of these canon?!
The false moustache cupboard must have been laid bare.
A nightmare would have got you certified in those days.
👊 Dr Watson .
Ummm... Okay...
this is episode 15
Thanks
Ok
According to the PizzaFlix listing of Jan 20 this is episode 38 of 39 with one more still to go:
The Texas Cowgirl.
According to both IMDB and Wikipedia this is episode 15,first transmitted 24 Jan 55.The Texas Showgirl was ep.4,first aired 08 Nov 54.
The inspector comes across as inept.
As he was in the original stories!
Yeah that's kind of the point?
Nothing beats a good mystery . These Sherlock Holmes episodes are great !!! The best thing about for me is that they are about men going about men's usual course of business and not laden with obvious feminist BS ;)
