this is one of the best music mixes ever created
this person knows./
I very much agree. In eight years, I've played it more than any album I own.
It really is
🐵
yasss!
still such a strong mix after all these years
Seriously tho! One of a kind
The scenes bonobo is able to create in his music and mixes are unlike anything else. Simply sublime.
Literally the most euphoric artist in the electronic department, please keep dropping those mixes 🎛🎚
There's something somewhat surreal watching this as a Brit, a UK radio station mix but with scenery of down-town T'rono, where I myself have driven down the DVP like this and listened to similar mixes while out there seeing family.
Que más decir... absolutamente me gusto siempre
Still an amazing mix till this day. Bonobo's music is timeless
Because they make time stand still as if nothing else matters with the vibrations they perfectly composed that Carrie’s us away, as if to drift away and get lost in the music especially with continuous remix sets. I don’t know what else compares to their diverse organic sounding style. They’re my go to harmonic medicine hands down. No to big but positive vibrations
@@MichaelLopez-lm5vj 🤝 facts. Discovered him last year. I've been extremely unhesitant when saying he is in my top 3 MUSICIANs ever. This is coming from someone who has an unworldly diversification of music tastes (globally, linguistically, and genre-varying). @bonobo is just pure class on all levels 🤌🏾🙏🏾
I grew up in Toronto driving those highways. This brings back memories
Nice city to drive around
Its all shit till the planets aligin
I just saw a slight snapshot of the video and thought "damn that looks familiar", and lo and behold - hometown highways. So listening to this great mix now too
You grew up driving around Toronto? Is that legel there?
Speed and Hustle 1999 TDot
On a trippy Autumn evening whilst driving by the countryside, my brother happened to play this set out of the blue and that was the point of no return ❤️
Continue playing it on repeat after repeat.
35 minutes into this set, while I am typing this comment.
Thank you Bonobo 🙏
Thank you Radio One 👍
2020 needed this 🔥
Shout out to Bonobo and a packet of choc almonds for making underestimating a Sunday night deadline vaguely bearable
Feeling that! This is great music to work to.
Matt, you truly are a river to your people...
Still listening 10 years later. Still sounds like it is visiting us from the future.
can't believe it is 10 years later. feels like just yesterday.
The clock never stops ticking. 10 years closer to death, to eternal silence. I'm terrified of not existing forever, for it is all I have ever known!
@@ExperienceLOS7713who said you have to stop existing my friend? We arrived in this earthly plane and we shall depart with the same assuring certainty. I trust you will never stop truly existing my friend 🙏
@@carlyhitchnerhope to see you back here in ten more years 😜 🙏
this one aged like fine wine if u ask me plus living here in canada hence where the video was shot takes me to a time so simple but hypes me for whats next to come with this fucked thing we call life cheers and salut see you in the next 10
That Chariots of Fire/Vangelis intro is smooth
Thanks, Matthew Colville!
This is why the BBC is so much better than U.S. radio
Agreed. The Essential Mix is one of the best things to have ever come out of this country.
And yet uncultured morons over here are desperate to see the back of it because they resent paying the license fee. It makes me extremely sad.
favorite bbc essential mix right here. soo good.
10 minutes into this mix and I'm mesmerized
Very powerful mix. I relish a two hour drive when I have one 👌
Yep it's still one of best mixes in memory
This is one of the best for me - I come back to it often
One of the best mixes on the Internet!
The slide into first fires on about the hour mark- magic
10:00 drop comes in at the red light, classic
That Francis Bebey remix at 1:15:45.. Geez. Pure gold. What a way to change a gear in a mix.
That was a strong mix from Bonobo there!
thanks for posting this. you totally nailed it - it's my essential driving mix from SB to LA or SF. thanks, pal. also love the video of Canada highways and bystreets :)
Good music and a tour of Toronto....
36:07 Maputo Jam. This track is meant for Night Driving!!! Love this track!!!
Ayyyyyy I recognize those Toronto streets, dope content man, you should totally do a Burial Essential Mix. his music would pair perfectly to your midnight aesthetic
agreed, was just thinking exact same!
@@patrickkanne BURIAL FANS FTW!!
These "Essential Mixes" were recorded by the DJs themselves at the BBC.. Burial didn't appear in this series yet
I was curious so I checked out Burial...Pretty dope! Reminds me of a lot of Moderat, if you don’t know already them I highly recommend giving them a listen.
Bonobo sempre foi diferenciado, um grande artista sem sombra de dúvida, está entre os melhores.
I legit thought this was upstate New York until spending 10 minutes trying to read a sign to look up.
Toronto, same thing.
Got me through my undergrad 🎉 thanks bonobo
This is Toronto you are driving through. You'll see the Rogers Center at about 9:33. Left side of screen in red letters
This was just what I needed❤️✌️🤛👍🇬🇧🕉🏁💓
Yea it helped me out the other day
a beautiful piece of art.
No playlist yet?? Really really need it here.
I love this mix, keep them coming
one of my favorite mixes ever
love it, I adore this set and I´m happy someone put it with a nice video
Steve Wall I survived college because of Bonobo, Tycho, Odesza, and Flume. I wouldn’t be here without their music. God bless their souls.
This set is one of a kind so unique sat with me since its release was a 14-15 year old now 23 wow life is something!

Very clever! I use utube premium. Costs a little bit more per month but no ads whatsoever. Worth it!
Adam you are a lifesaver 👏

Such a great mix.
Wow, wasn't aware that this Maya Jane Cole's Bonobo mix is already 6 years old. :o
слушаю каждый день.

that intro...honey and cream...topped with strawberry ...and choc chips...you know what I mean...you really do x
first thing I've ever subscribed to...
Pure chill
Thanks bro, truely.
have never heard of no bonobo, but this is surprisingly a very good essential mix:/
Toronto city - i love it! 2020
great mix
Outstanding!!
Jesus that intro
Crazy to think this is from BBC Radio. You can contrast humans with other animals easily with music like this, the otherworldly sounds humans make is just a part of their musical diversity enjoyed by so many of their species.
Go bravely with Tyr!
Who does not love Bonobo?
Bonobo
Magic
Thank you!
This guy must be lost

and scared by the looks of the speeding. poor dude.
LMAO! This crack made my day!
I thought right away that looked like Toronto and the 401 on the video! About 30 seconds in I saw the sign for Rexdale Blvd and then one for Pearson right after.
8:20 kicking ass :D

Hey! You stopped right in front of my friend Christine's place! 1:24:00
36:00 to 39:30 I don't understand how anyone can go through that and never get hooked
I just wish it was louder (and not meaning compressed).
It's only showing it's using about half it's potential volume.
Feck YESSSSS!
Massive
100!!!!!!
401 going west
Is the camera car a Mercedes? Just a guess from the hood / fender contour. Also how many miles on it, it seems to have been all over N.A. Thanks for the uploads they are fantastic, so glad I found them.
Infinity g37
@@datbass855 That's my guess too since I have one and the body lines and vents look familiar. In the reflections of the windshield you can see the middle dashboard speaker as well.
@@Liljumper9797 nice. I found it by comparing freeze frames and Google images haha!
@@datbass855 yeah I have the same car and I recognize those details. Especially how light travels over the hood of the G37. This video reminds me of myself. I enjoy the driving similarly on the highways and in the city as the driver of the vid. The G37 is very capable sedan.
34:30 (best sound)
Eh! my hood! haha cheers
i feking knew it looked like toronto
many thanks re uploading and fucking saved
Speeding down the 427 driving like an ass, yup that's Toronto
Love Bonobo love the concept but that speeded up driving made me want to keep an eye on the road. Better listening experience for me to just close my eyes, listen and not watch. Cheers for the mix dude, banging.
Tracklist?? 59 mins track id? And the next and the next?

14:05 *knock knock*, you got some penny for me?
5 seconds later: Noooope.
I thought for sure it was NYC the way the SUV cut him off on that left turn at 10:29
you mean the guy slowly moving over with his turn signal on the whole time?
