Thanks so much! My neighbor threw out this exact same tv. I took it home and plugged it in. Does the same problem. This was the only video that broke it down and diagnosed the problem. Thanks a lot. We got us a new TV!

thank you big dog for posting this video I'm having the same problem with my TV and after watching this video I feel confident enough to take all the tasks myself thank you so much
Great video brother! I love fixing things myself. I feel a man should be able to do his own work, whether that’s electronics or automotive, I do my own, unless it’s something crazy that I dont have the tools for, ie pulling the cab off my rig. I have a Hisense 55H6080E, which is as far as I can tell, the same major parts as this one. It’s time for a new tv, but I’ll fix this one and sell it or keep for the shop wall 👌🏻thanks again
Great. It is not always necessary to suspect electronic boards. I liked what I saw (the work of Hisense engineers, in this case plastic injection). Thanks for sharing. All the best.
Looks like I'm going to Phillips next but I did get four years out of my 55 Hinsense never gave me a problem up until then For the price you really can't complain if it lasts that long it's a throw away but hey sir you did a great job and it would be good to mention across repair on this particular issue thank you
I have a Hisense model 55R6E and the inside looks identical to the 55H6E and my red led comes on and a few seconds later it flashes only once then stays on. I shined a flashlight on the screen and I can see in the middle of the screen HISENSE and nothing else, no sound either. I tested the power out on the led connector on the power board and with it plugged in I get 176 volts on my multimeter then the voltage drops. does the voltage got to start out over 200 volts like in the video or is the power board fine and I just have to replace the LEDS? Awesome video and I subscribed. Thanks for your time, God Bless.
Thanks for sharing this. I just bought this same model band new less than a year and a half ago and just today I'm having this same issue. This TV has been kept in great shape but has been giving me problems since I bought it. I'll never buy hisense ever again
I purchased a hisense from Walmart, only lasted one month it went completely black and was never able to turn back on. I returned it and switched to a Vizio television. I may say much better, why would a new TV 📺 not work and it’s like hisense knows about this problem yet haven’t correct it.
I paid $245 for my 55 Hisense on Black Friday Walmart Website and still working after 2 years, that's about 34 cents a day for 2 years. Not sure how much all those testing and fixing tools costs. I had a no picture about a month ago but a factory reset fixed it.
What if my red light doesn't flash 6 times like you said. Mine only stays solid red and blinks once whenever I try to turn it on with the remote/the button on the tv and it just stays solid red until I attempt to turn it on once again. I'm unsure as to what may be the problem( ive already tried unplugging for 15 min, holding down power button for some time, etc...... but to no avail). Or is it completely dead to where it's unusable
That is precisely what mine is doing it's blinking three long red blinks then stops if I put my phone up to the screen I can see Hisense Roku and then it fades away and then says Hisense Roku again over and over and over
Thank you for this video. I just got a great deal on this exact TV, yeah right...black screen, no picture. So much for a great deal. But, being the fix-it-yourself kind of guy, I found you. I'll check out your store for an LED tester but I don't do this kind of repair that often so not sure if it's worth the investment in a dedicated tool for testing LED TVs although since all TVs are now LED, I'm sure it will come up again in the future. Excellent video bro, my TV red light is blinking constantly. Just replaced the power board and it's still doing the same thing. No picture on TV. Mine is a 75 inch hisense.
Hey brother I have the exact same tv same model number I've already ordered a new power supply board that has not arrived yet but after watching this I'm afraid it could be the LEDs how do I test with just a digital multimeter
@@bigdog8882 Thanks, I found the whole strip set at Jimmy's. I only have 1 LED that is out so now I'm trying to track down what type of LED to buy. Do you have a link or the specs for the LED you used as a replacement? Thanks again.
BigDog good video, I have a Sharp LC-58Q7370U it standby light blinks 2 times and keeps cycling. I checked the Standby voltage its 2.93V is that good ? I also checked the voltage on the LED strip it has 2 leads black and red... when I use voltage meter and test it.. it goes upto 223V and then keeps dropping to about 150V and does that in a repeated cycle just like the blinking lights... does this mean one of the LED strips are bad or is it the power supply ? does my standby voltage need to be 3.3v or 5v perhaps ? I have the my PS board is HLL-4465WK or Hisense 242444. hope to hear from you... thanks.
@@bigdog8882 do you mean the voltage of the LED output on the power supply which is red and black wires. ? When powering on unit ? What if it starts at 220v and drops to 160v only ? And keeps cycling like that ?

I have the same TV and when I turn on my screen is really really dark but I can see the logo just barely. I was thinking about ordering two new boards and putting them in. Do you think that would solve the issue or is it the LED strips? Or do you think I just have to replace everything and just process of elimination type scenario?
Fantastic job! Would be really great if the background music is off or at least on a really very low volume. A bit difficult to get what you saying from sometimes. Fantastic work otherwise!!! Thank you for this experience!!!
Hey Bigdog, I have a hisense h6 as well. It turns on and stay up for about a minute, then the picture goes blank but I can still hear the sound. I thought it was the LED strips but they all turned on when I took it apart to access the strips. What do you think is wrong?
Thanks for another good repair. The only thing which spoils it is the background music. On some parts it is louder thn your voice plus it tends to make you fall asleep.
Superb work bigdog! Props for having a camera that lasts 6 minutes between charges and still maintaining a very descriptive and comprehensive video. I enjoyed the entire video, normally I would skip through to key points yet you and your camera seemed to have done a pretty good job at staying on point, and love the added humor, my man ; hahaha. I have the same TV and when I turn on my screen is really really dark but I can see the logo just barely. I was thinking about ordering two new boards and putting them in. Do you think that would solve the issue or is it the LED strips? Or do you think I just have to replace everything and just process of elimination type scenario?
Start with replacing the LED strips. Thats your main problem.
@@bigdog8882 how many rows of strips of LEDs are there typically in a 58 in?
Fantastic job! Would be really great if the background music is off or at least on a really very low volume. A bit difficult to get what you saying from sometimes. Fantastic work otherwise!!! Thank you for this experience!!!
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks you sir
Perfect Bigdog!!!
Hey Bigdog, I have a hisense h6 as well. It turns on and stay up for about a minute, then the picture goes blank but I can still hear the sound. I thought it was the LED strips but they all turned on when I took it apart to access the strips. What do you think is wrong?
Watt k8nda tester you got there
Thanks for another good repair. The only thing which spoils it is the background music. On some parts it is louder thn your voice plus it tends to make you fall asleep.
Thanks for the tip
I do like the little comedic drum rolls throughout the video.. Lol
Nice job man....
How much would a fix like this cost?
Superb work bigdog! Props for having a camera that lasts 6 minutes between charges and still maintaining a very descriptive and comprehensive video. I enjoyed the entire video, normally I would skip through to key points yet you and your camera seemed to have done a pretty good job at staying on point, and love the added humor, my man ; hahaha.
Thanks for taking your time to share your knowledge. You are a patient man waiting for that battery to charge!
Take care , thumbs and sub for you my friend!

@@missprettii i just went and bought a new tv i got a samsung

Great job
100 volt with tv unplugged at 6:13 could you explain it?
What brand TV is that?
I need my TV fixed where are you located
