About I Dream Of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. When astronaut Tony Nelson is forced to crash-land on a remote Pacific island, he finds a strange bottle that's washed ashore. When he opens it, out pops a genie named Jeannie. 4:04- A few minutes later, outside the restaurant.....
DIANE: "Well, now that THEY'RE gone, what are WE going to do?"
TONY: "We're going back to your hotel."
DIANE: (trying to snuggle up to him) "Ummm, now THAT'S more like it."
TONY: "Yes. After I drop you off, I'm going home."
DIANE: (furious) "You can go ALONE! Or maybe you can catch up with Roger and that- that BOTTLED BLONDE of his!!!!!"
TONY: "Look, Diane, I can explain-----"
DIANE: "And if you ever call on me again, Tony Nelson---- DON'T!!!!!!!"
*Diane slaps his face, and stomps off*
TONY: (shuts his eyes in frustration, growling to himself) *"Jeannie....................."*
By the way, Roger was still a "Captain" in this episode. He and Tony were promoted to "Major" in "How Lucky Can You Get?" [February 19, 1966].

Treating Jeannie like a child. She's been around 2000 years, don't you think she's had a few men in her life?
Tony is one of the few men in the whole world who DOESN'T want a beautiful genie hanging around him- especially one that's jealous of his liaisons with other women, and usually screws up his relationships with them when he tries to date them.
In this case, Jeannie was frustrated that "Master" wasn't paying enough attention to her- and furious when Diane dropped by to visit him and renew their past relationship. So she decided to have an "affair" with Roger. He tried to bluff his way into not caring if she went out with another man that evening by shrugging her off, despite her insisting she'd stay home if HE WANTED TO. After she walked out of the house {"She went!", he groans}, Roger calls him, and tells him he's going out with the girl he met earlier that day.....but he doesn't have time to listen to him when Diane shows up. "HELLO, lover boy! Ready to rock the town? I know you're got BIG PLANS for us tonight! Where do you want to go first?". "Public library!", Tony insists, thinking Jeannie is going to meet her date there. He takes a puzzled Diane out the front door as the scene ends. After the L&M commercial, the scene opens outside a restaurant.......

Actually she was trapped as a young girl in her bottle by the blue jin. She was a teenager therefore, she is a little naive.

I hated the fact that they did this to Roger. It wasn't fair at all because he actually fell in love with Jeannie.
Never like the fact that jeannie used roger to make tony jealous after all Roger did fall in love with Jeannie till later he found out she was a jeannie
In the early episodes, this was an ongoing "battle of the sexes" between Tony and Jeannie. Remember, he insisted that he had the right to go out with his old friend Diane, whether Jeannie liked it or not. Jeannie, however, is *not* going to let another woman stand between her and her desire to "please her master". So she plays the old "jealousy" card by going out with Roger. Of course, Tony IS jealous, but he'll never admit that to her {even though she has the option of turning him into something less than human}. In the end, she wins, Roger "loses", and Tony admits, "I'm only human".
