    I salute you for being able to both pronounce and write Szczecin. I am not able to pronounce properly even simpler things like Worcestershire sauce.

      I would not rely on any of my attempts at pronunciation.

    1,5l bottle of water for just 15p? That's interesting. I normally find them in shops 1,50-2,50zł so about 27-45p, even though you got water from a lesser known and cheaper brand I'm still a bit shocked. Prices in Poland have gone up significantly recently but maybe you didn't notice as they are still lower than in countries like Germany and the exchange prices have also gone up so you get more zlotys for less pounds.
    7:11 that's a nice find, and it's very rare to have its doors bypassed. In Warsaw, Cracow and Łódź you can find these and sometimes even older lifts in tenement buildings with 4-6 floors build in the 60s or earlier, but not in the small blocks that are 60s-early 90s LPS blocks but only have 4 floors and no lift. These lifts were also installed in late 60s/early 70s LPS blocks with most commonly 10 or 11 floors (which were built until early 90s but had newer innerdoorless ASEA-Graham licensed lifts since early/mid 70s), but estates with these blocks have an obssesion with modding/replacing these lifts and nowadays it's very rare to find an old manual innerdoor lift in a tower block, but the ones with 70s-90s innerdoorless lifts can still be found (not just in mentioned cities but in other ones as well)

      I found that the prices for things in Poland has gone down. My base currency is GBP. When I first started going abroad 1 GBP was 4.5 PLN. It is now 1 GBP for 5.5 PLN. Prices for Bulgaria have gone up. Bulgaria used to be 40% cheaper than the uk, it is now 20% cheaper. While prices in Poland used to be 25% cheaper than the UK, it is now 35% cheaper, making Poland a very cheap place to visit, and now the same price as Ukraine, although Polish products are far higher quality than Ukraine. The cheapest place in Europe for me is Romania where everything is about 40% cheaper.

    Ah Szczecin (sh-ch-eh-ch-ee-n), my grandfather lives near STER. Looks like I never got to see much of the good bits of Szczecin. My mum and grandparents used to live it a soviet tower block, but it had only 4 floors, no lift. I am only just realising that i have only ever gone to shit airports in my life. My grandfather would pick us up from the airport, it's pretty much like Stansted, but I'd say it's slightly better, because the train is cheap and they don't trick you into paying the fee, like in Stansted

    Szczecin-Goleniów Airport is really more like an airfield, also, north-western region of Poland is least populated (that means there are shit loads of forests etc)

    Goleniów is a great, commercial airport surrounded by forest, which is an interesting combination. You Brits cut down all your trees across the whole country and your old houses are full of dirt and fungus.

    • @benolifts
      @benolifts  Год назад

      Goleniów is one of the worst airports I have been to. The trains don't sync up with the flights. You have to wait around for ages. Or on a late flight you are stuck there. And the airport itself is rubbish. There is hardly anything to it. It is as bad as Modlin and Plovdiv airports.

    Can someone explain how a 4 to 1 is cabled up? I know how a 2 to 1 is done if that helps explaining. And yes I know it’s a 2 to 1 doubled up but I can’t visualise how it’s done like I can do with a 1 to 1 and a 2 to 1

    • @benolifts
      @benolifts  2 года назад +3

      On an underslung 4:1 such as an Ecodisc, the cables pass under the lift twitch. There is extra wheels at the top of the shaft to allow this for the car and counterweight. The counterweight has 2 wheels on it instead of 1.

    5:32 this doesnt seem to 5500 beacouse motor is seems to be 3300 motor. İ think all 5500 motors are big and heavy. This motor is really small. And belts. Seems to be thin. You can see the small motor at here better: 6:02 and VF drive seems same with 3300s VF. Buttons and doors looks and sounds like 5500.

    I don’t get why new lifts have touchscreen than buttons. I think that the new lifts will all have touchscreen on them making it harder to know what level you want to go to. But overall those lifts do like really nice and the hotel is also nice as well.
