This is a very good example of how a presidency should be objectively presented to the citizens of this powerful Republic. As I watched the scenes of the meetings between the president and president-elect, I saw Richard Nixon (I like Nixon) but I yearned for who it may well have been were it not for his assassination, Robert F. Kennedy!
I think in many ways, Lyndon Johnson was probably the last U.S. President who could be considered a statesman and not just a politician. As coarse as he may have been at times, he still had true leadership attributes. And we must realize, that Johnson was not cold hearted about Vietnam. It weighed very heavily on him, as it did for most Americans of the time. And it was because of LBJ, that we have many social programs such as Medicare and Medicaid that we take for granted now.
Medicaid and Medicare, along with Civil Rights legislation were some of his greatest accomplishments, but I cannot forgive a man who sent so many of our young men to their deaths in Vietnam. A war he promised not to send our young boys into. A war we had no business being involved in. Yet as soon as he was re-elected he did spefically what he promised NOT to do.
I am korean I am not good at English so I do not know the contents.but I am very interested in Lbj. There are not many books about President Johnson in Korea. I hope that the translated version of Johnson Electric will be published in Korea .
I liked Nixon and Humphrey. But Humphrey would have got us out of Vietnam much sooner. I came home from Vietnam in 1971, and it didn’t end until 1975. We lifted Nixon it dc the ground when he met our troops at the airport in California.

I get so sick and tired of California and New York making the difference.
Awesome quality! Great Job! Let us know if you find the unaltered Zapruder film in there...
Haha
What car is the president driving??
The car is a Lincoln Continental Convertible. He did have a personal car like that on the LBJ Ranch which sold a few years ago to a private party,
Devil Den
