As an OC and QB I love this about your channel. I sent this to all my QBs for some quarantine film study. Awesome to see all the different examples from numerous systems. We call our four verts "Fork". ASU baby!
This is great. We always devour your Xs and Os material. There is so much insight in these videos that we usually have to watch them twice to absorb all the subtleties. Great prep for Pop Warner. Love it!!!
Hey JT, great content. Our basketball team uses TeamSynced and I agree, it’s the best. Great for film sharing and file sharing too. Our team couldn’t operate without it. Glad to see two worlds colliding - QB School and TeamSynced. Looking forward to next video
Just a few tags and now you've got dozens of plays all off one concept. Also I think JT should reopen Gruden's QB Camp segment on ESPN under the QB school name
Love your videos. Thanks for making the language & concepts of football accessible. The more of your vids I see, the more I realize that the old saying "reading Shakespeare in a football stadium" is redundant. The language of football is already like Shakespeare.
I can't believe I am just diving into this X and O's playlist. I do appreciate the fact the 4 verts video is 45 mins, and the other concepts are 15-30 mins haha. It is the beauty of the play!
Great breakdown! I think this one was the best yet. I really like the way the plays are set up to give the D the same look all the time and then surprise them with different wrinkles. I guess I never thought about All Go as anything other than a speed matchup thing. Neat to see how nuanced it is.
I have been binge watching all these X's and O's and have really enjoyed them, especially as a defensive guy. Could you do a video on how you studied film in preparation for a game? How would you guys break down defenses? When you watched film on DB's, what things would you look for and how would you pick which defensive player to pick on or to stay complete away from (i.e. an Aaron Donald). Thanks!
One thing these playbook reviews really provide a window into is how explicitly clear it is to the players running routes when they are just a decoy/clear or are the last progression read, which also helps explain the complaints and dissatisfaction some "diva" receivers display. The average viewer might think "what are they complaining about, they didn't get the ball because they weren't open" when really from the receiver's perspective they may be griping because they know based on the plays that they'll never get the ball on those plays, so they may well have a reason to complain about not being prioritized in the play calling.
I loved seeing you go over 26/27 Tampa as a packer fan I’m pretty sure that was Greg Jennings Td catch in super bowl. A form of the play might also have been his huge third down catch late in same super bowl steelers
This was awesome. Question. Take for example the play discussed around the 12:20 mark. If it is MOFO cover 2, will that left side corner continue deep being that there is no threat in the flat?
JT, you've become an integral part of my morning routine. I'm gonna need to reassess some of my finances to start supporting yoir content directly! Did you happen to catch Sean Payton posting his favorite concepts out of empty sets on Twitter? It'd be awesome to see a video breakdown of some of these concepts being used in-game!
Regarding the Green Bay All Go play sheet. Below the X receiver it notes "Red Line vs Bump Man" and below the QB it notes" Releases and Spacing Critical.' What does Red Line refer to and is spacing and release in fact absolutely critical? Thanks. I have the white board up in the office so I'm drawing these up and making notes as you go along. Being a real nerd about it.
The QB School oh yes! Love those videos where you go into plays and their pros and cons. Not sure if you did that before, but I meant like general overview of what means West Coast, Air Raid, Spread Offense, Pro Style and how those systems work. 😁 also would loooove if you could make videos about Kyle Shanahan and why even NFL coaches think he’s ahead of everyone else...like why is he so good and what is he doing!
Your content is great. X and Os helps me alot hearıng terminology and seeing route concepts. However, do you have videos that show film of the route concepts you are discussing on paper. İt would be awesome to have a visual of how these concepts look on the field against and open and closed defensıve set. İm a quarterback just tryıng to study as much as i can to be mentally prepared.
Hey JT, did you ever get a playbook from NE when you had a stint there? Would love to learn more about the EP Offense. I have a partial playbook from 2004 , but I’m sure it changed from Weis to McDaniels
Great vid JT ! I was wondering which variant of 4 verts is your favourite/most effective ? And do you think adding a TE in the personnel is a good idea ? (My thinking is that it's kinda strange to have a slower runner (i.e the TE) in a 4 vert formation). Keep up the great work!!
Hey JT. I love the content! X’s and O’s are my favorite for sure. A little audio engineering note: I’m hearing distortion on your voice as well as the overall volume being really hot. My guess is you either have your gain is a little too hot for your interface or you got your limiter a little too clamped down. I would be happy to help troubleshoot any audio issues in the future as well man. Anything to help yer channel man.
i haven't received a notification since your Jalen Hurts video. Coincidentally, Dak doesn't have a deal and the Cowboys worked out Jalen Hurts. Your thoughts on this?
Ha. I appreciate it. I'm sure your coaches tried their best. They probably just didn't get a decade in the League as a QB with 11 different organizations then got a PhD when they were done. Jokes aside, I appreciate you watching subscribing and enjoying the content.
@@TheQBSchool they absolutely they did, with that being said, I probably would have a lot less INTS under my belt with the information that you're putting out. Four verts for us was pick a matchup lol!! I managed to be an All New England QB, but this is just DIFFERENT to say the least! What you're doing is going to help so many young guns out there so thanks for doing this! Can't believe how much I've learned in such a short period of watching your vids. It's actually making me enjoy x's and o's. WISH I COULD GO BACK
I love these videos but I find it amusing that the longest one is the first play every kid ever called in the backyard. Everybody go deep, I'll hit someone.
Xs and Os is my favorite part of the channel. I like knowing more about NFL offenses and football breakdowns like these. Appreciate it JT
Nice. Thanks, Cristian.
This is probably my favorite video so far, I love throwing the ball deep and four verts is just so dynamic
Nice. Thanks Andrew.

Great Xs and Os. The deep analysis is what makes your videos so good. Can't wait to see a new one soon.
Glad you like them!
There was soooo much in that video. Guys, you have to watch it over and over again to let the details sink in. Love it! More like this, please

Nice coverage of these concepts. Thanks JT
Glad you liked it!

Thanks for watching.

@@TheQBSchool Only wish I would have joined here and the Patreon community sooner. Keep it up and have a great Easter.
Welp a year later.......
This really helps break the day to day of the quarantine, great stuff keep it up!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for the deep, deep dive into the Logo and thank you to Teamsynced for sponsoring it!
You bet, Michael. Thanks for the continued support.

Different type of Q School.
These videos are SO good. Keep them coming please.
Thank you! Will do!
@@TheQBSchool Can you do X's and O's on run concepts ?
your video production has improved so much
Thanks.

Cool. Besides the YELLING.
Love this channel. Used this concept in Madden and worked perfectly. Knowing the reads is REALLY helpful. Thank you.

True. WRs know what's going on. Most guys are pretty savvy.
you have the best X and O videos on youtube for football please do more explaining basic terminology
Thanks. Good idea.
Air Raid reads open grass and breaks off their route accordingly.

Good video offense breakdown NFL
Thanks, Willie.
Any chance you could show a film example after explaining the play ?
Not really. Copyright issues.
Very cool JT
Nice. Thanks.
Hey Coach, can you make videos about going into different offense playbooks like West Coast offense etc. ? Would love that! Greets from Germany
Great idea...isn't that what this video is?

Now, we know four verts. Thx :)
You're welcome, Nicolas.
Please coach us up on-
1-Tight Ends angle 3x1 vs MOFO. Did they set the angle to the post based off near safety or opposite safety?
Seen both. I prefer off near safety.

What means STEP ON HIS TOES" realy step on his toes or a different meaning? Thanks a lot!
Get close to him.
Good stuff
Appreciate it
Coach,
What are some coaching points for the back’s option route? Does he snap it to the field to maximize YAC?
Get out and get open. Not really. Run away from leverage. Stay flat.

what does step on his toes mean?
Run so close to the DB you step on his toes.

Zero thoughts. I like Hurts in Dallas.
Can you send this play to Kyle Shanahan
Mhmm, I understood some of those words
Some better than zero.
This is money. Again. If you can do one just as a deep dive on pass pro it would help this first year coach (assuming we have a season).
That's a good idea.
