This is an issue with all cars that have plant-based wiring (soy, rice husks, wood, peanut oil, corn and other sugars). While it is more eco-friendly, the longevity is significantly less and it attracts wildlife to it. The rabbits most likely are attracted to the heat from the heat pumps in the car for keeping the battery conditioned and then stay for the tasty wiring as food. I would recommend that you ask the dealership to apply a light coat of silicon grease/wd-40 the wiring or anything else to mask the smell of the plant-based wiring and dissuade the animal from continuing to eat through it once it tastes it. Also potentially moving the ultrasonic sensor further away and pointing it to perfectly under the car might help?
Squirrels are very aggressive. Mothballs seem to help.
