  • Hands-down the one UV light stands out far superior for finding leaks than all the rest.
If you’re a do it yourself person at home of course we don’t expect you to purchase a $500 UV light that’s something only a real professional shop would do because that’s how they make their living and earn their keep and provide customers with the highest performance service.
Here’s one of the biggest mistakes I see shop owners make.
The shop owner purchases one of the cheapest UV lights they could get their hands on and gives it to their technicians to go look for leaks and it barely works and a technician misses a lot of leaks.
Same thing as ripping off the customer you’re taking money from the customer and you only have a cheap UV light to look for leaks you might as well be pissing in the wind or flipping coin heads or tails whether or not you’re going to find a leak a total waste of time waste of technicians time waster customers time charge the customer for doing nothing.
Shop has to provide their technicians with real good tools to do real good work in the hands of a technician with a little experience in proper education and training.
If the owner of a automotive shop is in capable of training their own technicians and providing them with good tools then he should be eliminated and removed from this industry like a cockroach in the kitchen.

How can you clean off the old dye

    • @coldfinger459sub0
      @coldfinger459sub0  8 месяцев назад

Alcohol and or test other cleaning solvent waterbase, preferably or sample test the inconspicuous area to make sure whatever solvent you use does not damage whatever material you’re trying to clean
They do sell a specific cleaning solution if you go to the website

Enhancing glasses come with the UV lights from the company called UV Beast you can find them on eBay or Amazon search for them on Google and their website will come up..
The refrigerant electronic leak detectors come from True Tech Tools online
H-10 or the Infincon DeTek Stratus

Sorry to be so late on responding to your request RUclips just made your question available to me I did not see it before RUclips is not good at notifying.
You do not want the Eagle brand they’re no longer cutting edge anymore they used to be the thing for $500 $700 years ago just like the OPTi pro max 365 version was $700 now my $85 UV beast 365 model outshines in our performs the $700 models.
UV light LED technology has come along way over the last decade cheap Chinese manufacturers or American or Japanese are producing UV spectrum lights that are much brighter stronger with a tighter narrower UV spectrum LED than what they did a decade ago so those old lights that we thought were the best are no longer the best but they’re still selling them at the same price ripping customers off.
10 years ago I was all excited about the eagle and OPTi pro 365 but today in comparison to watch available now they’re not worth it it’s like buying an old 8086 IBM computer back in 1988 that was top-of-the-line in performance that did not even have a 486 Pentium inside of it and 500 MB 5 1/4 inch floppy disk.
Look at my other UV comparison videos and you’ll see I barely ever whip out the eagle it just doesn’t compare anymore

@@coldfinger459sub0, the Eagle UV395 is the one which you said was best "for this dye," at 4:15 to 4:33 in the video.
What dye did you use? You swung the camera by your "Attention Service Tech" sticker, but that's all I could read.

Since this video, I have found a better light that is five times cheaper. The eagle was over $500..
The new UV beast version three 365 is only around $80 and his brighter and stronger .
And if you want a little tiny hand held in the palm of your hand, the Conroy 365 is the strongest, brightest, small, handheld UV light I have found .
The dye that I use it is by tracer line products .
The other back up, refrigerant die that I use is by AC Extends
