- The 2024 Austrian GP was a snooze fest until the last 10 laps! McLaren’s Lando Norris cought up to the current F1 champion and was on route to overtake Verstappen for the win in Austria! However Max battled very hard with Lando which caused both to crash into each other on the racetrack! George Russell benefited from Max & Lando’s hustle to win the austrian gp for Mercedes! F1 pundits and experts said that Max had reverted back to his old dirty formula 1 racing tactics and this incident between Max and Lando could be repeated again during the 2024 season as we head to silverstone next!

Max is max. Just that last year nobody able to challenge him. And some naively think that he has changed. He can't get aggressive to himself when there is nobody else able to challenge him right ?
It seems thats the case unfortunately! Should we expect similar incidents between max & lando at silverstone?
Reverted? I think not. Years of muscle memory are not easy for Max to reprogram when no one is challenging him on a race to race basis. But now that he is being pushed and he has to rely on his instincts, then he uses those same tactics that were successful in the past.
I agree, i think RB’s dominance in the past few years didn’t let us watch max in true form wheel to wheel! But now Lando is challenging his true instincts are showing!

I think both Max and Lando will try their best to race hard and fair,
but when it comes to a head (as in conceding position when the other one is slightly ahead) - all bets are off, contact is very likely

Max was going to be overtaken on that last incident, he realized that quite late and that’s why he closed the door on Lando

Max is a champion no doubt about that but there are rules set in place to be followed, thats why he got penalized

You forgot to mention that after collision Max dangerously moved to block Lando on the straight and pushed him onto grass as well - pure dirt

@@MotorsportsNewscome on. Check the Lewis before he drove with Rosberg and the years with Rosberg. Lewis was just as dirty and aggressive.
Lewis was not challenged as much anymore after Rosberg left and had the same years Max had in 2022 and 2023.

But I am all for that kind of drivers. I love the rebels like Lewis himself, Senna, Schumacher and now Max.
But Norris is not a Lewis or a Max calibre driver. Don't think it would matter much to teach him some ropes.

Watch the Peter Windsor analysis, it makes sense. My take is that I just dislike the whole discussion and much rather see pundits just say "it is called racing numbnuts, now get on with it, bye" So yeah, I kept reading biased crazy and ended up feeding the fire LOL LOL

Yes, I hope not, a horrific crash. We were discussing the friendship earlier on. Both were complaining about each other. I think Max is out for himself, he is a very shallow character, I am also not over keen on his father. But there again it is probably his father who has caused him to be so obnoxious! Thanks for replying, I am just an F1 fan, with no experience, but I enjoy it. Here's to next week! 😊
