Great video! I agree 0-1 is definitely the most difficult transition.

Not far into your video yet, but 100% agree!!! We had a puppy before kids and I remember saying when our dog was a puppy that I never wanted to have kids because a puppy was hard enough! 🤣
Now we have a 13 month old son and I honestly think raising a puppy prepared us in some ways and softened the blow of the life change of going from 0-1 kids ❤

Marion, you are as good at delineating the problems and challenges you faced with each family dynamics change as you are at taking us through the successes and failures of various products you have used. It helps to hear the real deal, not gloss-overs. Thank you.

Going from 1 to 2 was super difficult for me. Number 2 did not sleep for a full year. I was exhausted. Having Number 3 wasn’t hard because I waited 8 years from number 2. But It was like starting over again. I think for my daughter going from 2 to 3 was the hardest. Those last two were 18 months apart! It’s so different for everyone!

I’m a generation ahead of you with one grown son. As a mom of a boy, I know tons of other boy moms. I was very happy to learn from those with several sons - they just seemed so relaxed and accepting. It was books in my day, but also the beginning of widely available internet, so online groups were another saving grace. So glad to see you continuing the tradition of sharing your expertise with other moms!

You are such a wise young woman, Marion. How I wish I’d had RUclips when I was raising my kids. Of course I had tons of books. Lol. But I love how you’ve described the transitions and I’ve watched how much more at ease you’ve been this time around with Zachary. May you and your family have continued blessings as you continue to encourage others. Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother's Day to you. I always found you being a very responsible and great mother to your children. Thank you so much for doing this chat. I could understand that when the pandemic started it made your family life challenging especially having to stay a majority of your time at home. A lot of times, I would feel my life can be challenging to stay a lot of time at home due to the pandemic. The way that you see the world and how you see your family is perfectly fine with me. Thank you for these awesome, awesome videos. Take care gorgeous Marion! 💕

The most difficult transition is going from however many kids you have to having that number plus one baby with colic. 0-1 was hard but our second had severe colic for 7 months and it was extremely difficult. Age gap also matters. Our first two were 14 months apart.

0 - 1 was chaotic for me. being a fist time mom, getting advice from everyone and not knowing which advise to take and which ones to ignore. being corrected constantly by older women and not being confident to trust my own motherly instincts.
1-2 was fun. I felt fulfilled giving my son a sibling to play with. and me observing milestones better. I felt as tho I got a shot at redoing motherhood since I felt I made my baby #1 cry a lot from poor decisions.
2-3 is challenging. my baby #3 is a firecracker and drains my energy. he teaches me patience and love daily
I desperately want a baby #4 to even out the set. but I'm waiting to achieve some goals, then try for rounding off the set

My motherhood story is a little unusual. I was married at 20 years old to my 30 year old husband. He had full custody of his 2 sons, ages 3 and 9, so I became a mother of 2 the day I became a wife. That was definitely a difficult time for me. We had two more children, so at the age of 25 1/2, I was the mother of 3 boys ages 14, 8 and newborn and a daughter 2 1/2. Life was very busy but I don’t regret a moment of it!

What a good video! Funnily enough my husband had a dog before we met and his experience which was similar to yours was why he didn't want another after we got married.
My husband and I aren't going to go to 2 to 3 for quality of life reasons but 1 to 2 has been a struggle. I think 0 to 1 was harder mentally from dealing with changing physically and how my husband and I had to rediscover our relationship. 1 to 2 has been hardest trying to learn how to get my oldest son to mentally deal with our family changing.

I'm a mum of 1 currently, but from my experience working with babies and toddlers every day, I think generally speaking 0-1 is the hardest. A lot struggle with 1-2 if their older child is under 4 or over 7 (sleep routines/forgetting how to baby.) Once people get over 2 they just seem to relax into the chaos 😂 and I mean that lovingly, kids just bring chaos

Another interesting video. I agree. First child was a huge adjustment, 2nd was a large adjustment, 3rd was easy. We had a son, daughter, son. By the time of our 3rd child we honestly did not care what gender they were. (They are now 29, 26, 23.) Todah Rabah!

We had two dogs (one of them a puppy we got a week before we found out I was pregnant) and I agree. Because of them, the transition from 0-1 kids was really easy. I’m thinking it may be harder if we add another.

I have read your book and followed you since Corey was under 1 I think! But I can’t recall the physical challenges you had after Max? I’m deep in the hard feelings at the moment- my back and hip just got injured somehow I’m giving birth and I am in constant pain. It’s been 7 months and it’s so debilitating I don’t know how anyone has more kids! But we want more and soon. I’m just so afraid of never getting better or being able to walk the dog (your comments rang true for me!) I just wish I knew it would get better for sure and that I’d be able to walk and play and exercise again!

    • @MyJewishMommyLife
      @MyJewishMommyLife  2 года назад

I’m so sorry to hear that!! I fractured my spine giving birth to max and also thought I’d never walk, finally I realized the pain wasn’t normal and saw a spine specialist and a PT. It did get better! I healed almost completely and the next births (no epidural) I was fine.

I found going from 1 to 2 was harder then 2 to 3. My step daughter has 2 small children and decided to get a new puppy after having to put their older one down. She now finds herself overwhelmed with trying to house train, put outside and exercise the dog. Our Grandson who’s only 1 yells “P” now as one of the few words he can say. Good to have dogs first! I’m 62, mother of 3 (41,42 &43) & 10 Grandchildren I can only advise Do Not Overthink it.
