  • In this video, Classic Industries' technical advisor Edgar Soler shows viewers how to replace inner and outer window felts (aka window fuzzies, glass run weatherstripping) on a second generation Camaro. Second Gen F-body cars are prone to have cracked and dry-rotted window felts. While this video shows removal and installation on a 1981 Z28 Camaro, this information may also be useful for 1970-81 Firebird owners.

Aint gonna lie, when I saw the layout of tools on the cart I thought holy crap, this is not a job for the garage mechanic. But watching it explained it very clearly and it cam be accomplished without some of the specialty tools like the cleeko's

Anyone looking to do the felts on the door panel, have fun. It’s tedious work. I feel like slamming my head into a brick wall until I pass out cold.

What about a 95 Camaro? Nothing online about how to install, just removal, which is the easy part.

Am just now watching this video....its all I could find for my question which is installing these window felts on a 1967 Pontiac GTO....obvious differences but essentially a very similar operation...yes? No?.....any advice? thanks! If I did not want to do this myself, what / which type of vendor should I seek out for the work....body shop? auto glass shop? thanks!

My uncle has a 69 convertible and the cowl tag is missing. He got a protecto plate and it doesn't match the vin. Is it possible to get information from the plate or cowl tag from the vin?
