The big thing im excited about as a diablo and poe veteran is being able to see whats happening on the screen when I play. Last Epoch has a great pace and clarity to its combat. The story is also really good if you pay attention to that type of stuff.
You are probably the first person I've seen actually complement the story. Lol Not saying if it's good or bad since I'm waiting till 1.0 to play this for the first time. But literally everyone else I've heard from calls the story mediocre at best. Including Palsteron here.
This game is suuuuuuch a good middle ground between the hardcore, complex POE and the dumbed down, easy Diablo IV. Incredible, gonna blast the game so much tonight!
I should mention when you were talking about the rarity of certain items, you should look at the passives that they put in the Fortune tree for when you level up your reputation. There are insane boosts to droprates with the factions. So something that is 0.00XX is probably much higher at certain levels of the endgame.
Hey bro, great video and great explanation, however I think you made a small mistake talking about magic items at 21:08, the one you have in your inventory has 2 prefixes but you said it's always max 1 suffix and 1 prefix (like in POE)
When I last played LE I felt encouraged to run to each map's end objective, rather than try to substantially clear/engage with monsters. Is that still the case?
I hope they keep the specializations permanent. While being able to change them as you wish is convenient , it makes the class identity non-existent. "Today I'll be a void knight, bringer of gloom and doom. Tomorrow, maybe a holy warrior ,who knows?"
I feel stupid but I cannot get past the first talent in the mage tree. it says, "Connection required 1 point" and I have 3 points in the talent Elementalist and cannot get over to Arcane Flames. What am I doing wrong?
as of 0.9.2, you can reset vendors by quitting to character select, then go back in game. it'll reset every single merchant in the game throughout all leveling zones
Yes, most builds using majority of item slots as rare or exalted items. They are generally stronger unless you need some build defining unique on that slot.

Re leveling skills after a respect is abs stupid as hell. Hopefully this changes and we dont go the POE route of you wana do this go farm first then go back to playing the game. Nobody likes that.
Looks interesting, but compare to D4 graphic aint something, I hope this will change in the future. If they buff graphic I will buy it, because in D4 you have nothing to do when you hit 100.

The story is okay but it doesn't have any compelling or memorable characters from what I've played. No Einar or Deckard Caine.

Pretty much yes, it is less optimal if you clear a map rather than rushing to clear the objective.

I believe they're increasing monster density in 1.0 but we don't know by how much and the meta could still very well be rushing the objective

You can also just map change, go to next map, come back. Go from town to town or just back and forth between 2 towns.

Palsteron forgot the most important tip for new players, LAWAYS start as forge guard! it's very good for new players!
There's other classes that are suited to new players as well
