Restoring Faded Headlights

I restored the faded plastic headlights on my 2005 Silverado using acetone and a commercial headlamp restoration kit. Using the kit alone on another car didn't work out so well. I tested the use of acetone on one of the headlights on my truck and it seemed to have a much better end result. These lights are 12 years old. The bottom half of the headlights were in pretty bad shape and I really couldn't do much about that. But for the most part they're much clearer now than they were.
