That is correct. Pulling the right sliders down in the EQ screen can alter the guitar frequencies in a way that it's not longer recognizable as a guitar. Some buzzing in the background will remain but I compensate that by mixing in my guitars a little louder than on the original recording. Some songs are more suitable for this trick than others though.
