- Watch the new trailer for the last Elder Scrolls Online expansion, The Gold Road. Adding a new area to explore - the West Weald - the latest addition to the fantasy MMO has a new Scribing system to play with and all the usual quests, delves, world bosses, public dungeons, and a 12-player trial. The Gold Road chapter will be released in June 2024.

It's weird seeing those three adventuring together considering they tried to kill each other when they first met and the Nord enslaved the Elf.

10 years later and we still can't climb up (mantle) on or over things. But boy howdy there will sure be more emotes and cosmetics to buy!
10 years later and all the new content is just reskinned old content with new dialog. Otherwise, the gameplay loop for every zone feels exactly the same. At least Craglorn tried something new-ish.
Unfortunately MMOs can't proper deliver this kind of experience yet due to tech reasons. Currently only single-player games can give this experience.

I've just started Skyrim SE and it's great. Classic fantasy system with a grim fairy tale Nordic atmosphere. It's so immersive and an instant favourite.
You should have played Oblivion first. You could appreciate old Bethesda that the core Fandom enjoys.
@@ryguy1483 If you want him to play heavy RPG you should have suggest Morrowind instead. Oblivion quest are fun but the leveling and level scaling system is the most unfun thing to play. Skyrim and Morrowind is what the true core fandom enjoy.

There's more production value in this cinematic then all of starfield.
Considering this isnt actual gameplay, Starfields cinematics also had more production value than starfield.

If the game actually looked like this, it might be entertaining to come back to, but nope, same bland textures, same boring non-engaging gameplay
If you played games in 1994, you knew how much of a leap we made in graphics by 2004. And in 2004 you weren't playing games made in 1994.

@@Ketarmish I've played since release and play now with an RTX 3080. It still looks the same. When the in-game textures, animations, and lighting look like they do in the trailer, then we will know they've done something special.

another year, another expansion trailer while the game itself remains full of issues and player feedback ignored. The animation studio Zenimax hires for these shorts do great work, but this level of quality is never seen in the actual game itself :/
Honestly, after ALL the work they've done in the game and the achievements they've made towards addressing many player concerns, I'm baffled you came at this trailer with that sort of emotion. Year after year they have been fixing and adding content SPECIFICALLY requested or desired by many of us and this year seems no different...we've all seen the amount of people requesting spellcrafting...OK well now we're getting something close to it as far as could be reasonable in a giant MMO that needs to be balanced. We're also getting more housing updates which many of us in housing have been desiring for years. We have a big tease about a big non-Cyrodiil related PVP update that takes up the majority of the Q4 update. Of all years to complain about the "non addressing of player issues and feedback" this is not one of them, nor was last year.

It's the west weld which is western cyrodil. The arena surrounding the city of skingrad in oblivion. The borders will reach as far up to border hammerfell and border valenwood to the south as well as the gold coast to the west

So, what's the story behind these three? Are they a former team that later fights each other during the first few trailers in their race towards the Imperial City? Or is this afterwards, and the Breton and Nord guys were resurrected?
They first showed up in the OG trailers representing the 3 factions but as the story of the factions was pretty much done They've started working together

Does ESO still make you buy every single previous expansion individually, or have they smartened up and do what WoW does, where if you buy the latest expansion you get all the previous ones along with it?
Why does it say last expansion for ESO in IGNs video bio/description? If you google "last expansion for ESO" there is no results is this IGNs own headcannon or do they know something we don't?

Whether it's detail lacking new zones such as High Isle or Blackwood compared to the detail found in 2014 released zones such as Elden Root capitol city in Grahtwood or a displaced neon triangle game breaking goofy animation Arcanist class melting anything that stands in front of them with slime roots and green lasers; Elder Scrolls Online keeps coming back for more and their loyal fans continue to support this franchise when it's surely deserved to die out. Mostly new ESO developers have deserved to be put on the unemployment line long ago with the final product work compared to the beautiful art concepts and cinematic scenes such as this which show a completely different side of the game that appears to exist in some higher-up's fantasy vs. the actual reality of what's being released. The amount of money fans put into supporting this game is truly more inspiring than the effort put in to give these people what they deserve: an actual true DLC that has the effort and detail as we last saw many years ago from Summerset. Get a clue lazy ESO Devs and mgmt!

Yeah as said below, Kvatch is already in the Gold Coast zone of ESO so this is Skingrad as described by the developers in the full expansion reveal vid

War is still going. Colovia is basically an independent state aligned with the Empire, much like when Northern Elsweyr was under imperial occupation buring dragon crysis.

No. Even before Necrom released they said they were changing their DLC release system. For Necrom, instead of the second zone you got the Endless Archive.

The High Isle trailer with these three was more exciting. They come back for more videos whenever Zenimax wants to remind you that they never delivered in-game graphics or gameplay that matches what's seen in the cinematics.

You’d think this trio would want to retire by now.
Same crap, different year. Remember folks, a majority of the team they have is working on their next MMO. Theyre not addressing any of the games real issues ( overland difficulty, Pvp, etc.) or making improvements that the community has been asking for. The main focus is to pump out dlc and cash shop items to fund the next game. Rich still up there trying hard to get people hyped for what will essentially be just another one. Remember when he wanted to tell you about the amazing card game expansion in High Isles? Dont fall for this crap.
