      Yeah this. There's other guys to watch if you want to do twice as much work. But after a point it's diminishing returns. I love the 100% all in guys but I also love Sam, usually 50% of the work for 90% of the results most of the time (because he's figured that out), especially with a big family - you can do whatever you have time for and get great results!

      And screw that prick who did the moany thing about garlic tube. For certain application tube/jar of choped garlic makes alot of sense. For other not but thats why you should have both. Tomato puree is accepted but garlic tube not :D We all should grow, harvest, Cook and reduce our tomatoes instead of reaching out for a tube of puree.

    There is a reason there are so many different types of garlic. Paste, minced in a jar, dry minced, of course fresh, and one of my favorites, dehydrated sliced. Dude that is the best bottom layer in so many oven simmered dishes I have created. Now that aside, I can't believe you beat me to this. I absolutely LOVE grilled cheese, and have created so many different versions. I also love Lasagna. When I do this one, I will use my local grocer's bread. They have a "Sliced Chicago Italian" bread that grills like nobody's business. Light grill....crispy on the outside cloudy on the inside. Heavier grill, anything from crunchy to crouton. Thank you for this one guys.

    I love that you're real and honest. Using canned or jarred ingredients is what real cooks do.. Not everyone has time to stand in their kitchen chopping every ingredient and what not. A lot of home cooks use jarred and canned products to help speed the process, and why should garlic be any different. I myself prefer the jarred minced garlic because it's already in small pieces and easy to use. Anyone hating on someone for that needs to step back and reevaluate...

    • @ziggybender9125
      @ziggybender9125 2 года назад +5

      I'd of agreed with you for the last 10 years of my little home cooking journey because minced garlic just isn't correct for some recipes where paste works way better, but then recently I bought myself a $20 mortar and pestle to grind dried herbs with. When I tried it with fresh garlic I was absolutely amazed by quickly I could make fresh garlic paste and how much stronger the beloved garlic taste was. Easily the best $20 purchase of my life for all the things I get to use it for. Free life tip if you have one, grow some lemon grass. It is a grass and doesn't require any care if it can grow in your area, with some mortar smashing it's an amazing ingredient.

    Mirriam - Webster states the definition of lasagna:
    Definition of lasagna
    1or less commonly lasagne \ lə-ˈzän-yə \ : pasta in the form of broad often ruffled ribbons
    2: a baked dish containing layers of boiled lasagna, and usually cheese, a seasoned sauce of tomatoes, and meat or vegetables.
    You made a Béchamel sandwhich. Looks delicious!

    I made this today but instead of tomatoe puree I used your home made sauce (I do use red onion instead of yellow and add bell pepper in your sauce;) OMG this sandwich was off the chart. I used garlic puree AND a fresh "bulb" ... never too much garlic 🤗 and that ricotta spread ... I can't even explain the excitement it adds. You are amazing
