Left-sided driving is mostly a Commonwealth thing. From what I remember, the only ones in Europe who stick to it are the Brits and the Irish. Got my head turned around every time I visited the UK.

It's no secret the devs crunched hard before the release date. This, plus what CDPR have previously said about wanting to make the story more "compact" and more approachable to general public (according to their statistics the amount of players who finished The Witcher 3 was significantly lower than of those who started it; and overall people complained about it being "too long") leads me to think they initially intended to make the "6 months later" sequence playable, but chose not to. But who knows.
No they didn't. The 6 months montage was pretty much always there. This was pretty much confirmed by Pawel Sasko himself, one the lead quest designers. It's actually amazing how so many myths about this game still persist after they get debunked repeatedly. People simply just want to believe anything they want even when devs themselves say otherwise.

sorry mate, but when it comes to driving on the left side australia belongs to the outliers and not the US... most of the world drives on the right side, including most parts of europe ;) to be exact about two thirds of the world population drives on the right.. about 160 countries vs. about 70 countries which drive left ;) but hey only half as bad as 99% of the world using metric and 3 countries don't ;)
I need to check that out. I remember trying out a mod for witcher 3 where you could swap Geralt's model for Ciri's and play as her. It worked great for general exploration, but some combat animations are dependent on the length of Geralt's arms, so Ciri's sword would suddenly float out of her reach and swing in mid air. Also, a lot of the dialogue animations where Geralt would lean up against a wall and cross his arms or squat on his haunches would force Ciri's model to grow and stretch to fit the broad shouldered muscley form of Geralt. It was hilarious
Just so you know, it's not just you "not being good at driving games on keyboard and mouse"... Cyberpunk has been criticized since day 1 about how terrible driving feels with any vehicle. They've made updates and all, but it still doesn't feel right to me and it's still not even close to other open worlds. There are mods to improve that aspect of the game specifically, which I haven't tried personally, but I've read they're among the most essential mods out there. If you're planning to hit the road a lot it might be interesting to try them (even on your first run), although now that they've included the subway system driving seems slightly less relevant (not to mention you can teleport to any waypoint across the city). It's still needed in a few missions though!
Yeah, this start was never balanced. So it's overtuned. I've done it on very hard, but it took me many many tries. Raytracing on this game is very taxing. And some of it isn't good. Turn off the RT Lighting. It actually makes the game look worse. RT Shadows is fine and RT Reflections look great, but it's one of the most taxing settings out of all of them. RT Sun Shadows turn off as well. So in short, leave RT shadows on, Turn off RT Sun Shadows, Lighting, and Reflections if it's taxing the system to hard.
29:05 Americans drives on opposite side? Europe drives on left side? What are you talking man?? 😆 The whole world drives on the right side! The only major countries that drive on left side are England, Australia (which is a former colony of England) and Japan (since it was heavily inspired by England in the past) lol. and maybe couple other third world small countries also have left side, most of which also ex England colonies
There are 73 countries which drive on the left side of the road. Admittedly that's less than drive on the right side, but its not an insubstantial amount.
I myself absolutely loathe driving with a keyboard so I use a controller whenever I use a vehicle in this game even though otherwise I use M&KB. Highly recommended. Otherwise you'll be mowing people down in the city (and thus getting into trouble with the 5-0) _all the time_. Not having analog control while controlling a car/bike in a game? Only lunatics enjoy that shit.

They are not great games, they are very entertaining stories accompanied by some gameplay.

yep, here in the UK we just refer to it as "mainland Europe", especially since Brexit
46:25: I guess it`s called "immersion", if like they are trying to make the NPC`s act like real people, maybe. Dude, if you got a 50/50 choice for a convo, how hard is it to make a decision on a short notice, and is it necessary to flip 20 times up and down till you are done ?
Nobody in Europe drives on the left side besides the UK
Malta, Cyprus, Republic of Ireland
@@nickrubin7312 uk and ex territories
might be good idea to CPU encode if your GPU is maxing out with the ray tracing 🤓
I have a hard time with Cyberpunk on a keyboard so I hooked up my XBox controller and play it that way.
I play games like this (and GTA for example) with mouse and keyboard. But as soon as I have to drive a car or something like that I grab the controller. I cannot drive at all with wsad
Loved the hair
Personally, all 3 backgrounds are fun, but as 1st time playing nomad back at release days, it will always be headcanon for me. It also the most representative of the 1st time player who knows nothing about NC, or history of this "world" or legendary characters.
I think only a handful of countries drive on the left side. I can only think of Japan, Ireland, England, and now that you mentioned it, Australia. XD
I'm from Brazil btw, and all of South America drive on the right side 100%
Probably my least favourite beginning, but I'm glad you got a lot out of it. Just reminded me too much of the worst parts of travel, you know the part of international travel when the cops come after you, even though you declared that extra 2kg brick of diet coke.
There are 165 countries that drive on the right side of the road, and only 73 that drive on the left. (Theres overlap because some countries do both)
Legally or just bad drivers?
@@Senkoau legally. If we go illegal who knows haha.
@@ZeallustImmortal Really, how on earth do they manage that without crashing into other vehicles?
@@Senkoau Different roads use different sides. For example, cities/towns/villages could be left, and high speed roads are right or the other way around
"Europe, they also drive on the left side" Actually, 99% of Europe drives on the right side :P
Only UK and Ireland (and any British colonies) drive on the left side in Europe
There's very few countries in the world where left hand driving is the standard ^^;
73 countries drive on the left, to be precise.
@@lisettepolias1142 That's worldwide, not Europe..
@@stobe187The OP comment literally mentions the world. Try improving your reading comprehension.
@@Xeno_Solarus I was responding to @lisettepolias1142, not the OP. To me the main gist of the OP was Europe, so I was just clarifying that.
Thanks for that incredibly passive-aggressive feedback, tho.
they completely redid the skill systems be interesting what skills and paths you take for me I loved the netrunning with a one hand shooter and a bit of cool stealth 😄
also added that cosmetics system so you didn't look so dam random with the better clothing stats haha
Streetkid🔥🔥
Greetings from Europe, just wanted to let you know that only the UK drives left. The rest of us does the right thing ;)
Synthetic meat
You're in for a treat
You'll want to max tech ability eventually. Not a spoiler, just a bad design where your whole armor e capacity for cybernetics depends on it.
One thing I'd recommend strongly is to switch to controller while driving and the rest play on m&k, driving feels a lot better on gamepads
Tbh game looks awesome without raytracing (atleast i like it more without raytracing + stable 3 digit fps)
Eh, the game isn't responsive enough to the point double digit FPS would matter. I'd go with RT if your GPU can handle it, this game looks incredible with it.
Is this better than Starfield?
I still prefer Corpo. It fits the themes of CP better imo
Welp you just gotta upgrade your cyberdeck for this!
Cool way of presentation :)
Only thing: Please get a shielding on your cables. The hum is pretty unnerving. ;)
the hum is in the game itself
@@Mapocolops Not the background music - if it's the game, then it just was added in, because I never heard it on other lets plays. 🤔😦
Being a former stage hand it just sends chills down my spine, and none of the good kind 😅I'll keep an ear out for it.
Either way, while it's driving me mad, your videos are good enough to endure that 😁
are you only hearing it when I am in the menu? because it's a menu related sound effect hum that has been in the game since launch, I later on install a mod to remove that sound
@@Mapocolops I'll check and then 'll come back to you with details/timestamps :)
@@Mapocolops First time I could hear it on a quick check is 7:20 roundabout, no music in the background, you're reading "The Unification War". It's relatively quiet. Same with roundabout 34:05, "The Wall". Fixed frequency of sorts, just volume seems to vary depending on yours.
The hum in the menu seems to be a lot more quiet and, well melodic of sorts. That's fine :)
Bothers me how je wont pick up everything in sight
I will say, I played all three intros (so to speak). Nomad was nice but felt off for V. Street Kid felt right as it fits Vs personality more. However, playing as Corpo (even though none of this matters sadly) felt cool. It's not often you get a game where you can start at the top of the chain.
Nobody in europe drives on the left side, only the brits.
Female nomad op
Oooh, I like this V. I played as a female Corps way back when but I like this down to earth boy. Looking forward to the last life path.
sorry mate, but when it comes to driving on the left side australia belongs to the outliers and not the US... most of the world drives on the right side, including most parts of europe ;) to be exact about two thirds of the world population drives on the right.. about 160 countries vs. about 70 countries which drive left ;)
but hey only half as bad as 99% of the world using metric and 3 countries don't ;)
Theres a third person mod, but like you said, the animations dont work right. It looks super goofy using the games default animations
Corpo next let's goooo
Corpo V is the best, no matter bro or sis

Americans drives on opposite side? Europe drives on left side? What are you talking man?? 😆
The whole world drives on the right side!
Cyberpunk 2077 is like The Last of Us, it is an ok game with a by the numbers gameplay. What misleads people into thinking that it is a great game is the dialogue, the characters and the story. When a video game has a serviceable gameplay, it is really entertaining to go from one story bit to the next, without feeling exhausted or dreading having to engage with the gameplay just to see what happens next. They are not great games, they are very entertaining stories accompanied by some gameplay.
This is true about Witcher 3, here I'd rather play for the gameplay because the story and side missions are hot garbage 80% of the time.
@@anitaremenarova6662 interesting take. Cyberpunk 2077 has one of my favourite stories.
Who said you europeans drive on the left? Almost every european country has right way driving.

again...turn off ray tracing...
It's just England and you guys, who drive on the wrong side of the road, the rest of the world drives on the right.
