Every time I watch someone play this game and their V goes to bed, I expect the early game “half on the bed, half on the floor” animation. Those were the days. 😂😂 So glad they fixed it in a patch!
I like female V's voice acting so much more than male V. Corpo is also great. That's what my current playthrough is. I thought Corpo V would rub me the wrong way, but I'm loving it so far.
When i first played Cyberpunk i really didnt liked this origin, because it felt so short to me but now I have to say it became my favorite, alone for all the corpo dialogue options
The "Car Guy" at the start used to be Elon Musk. He showed up to one of Grimes' recording sessions for Lizzy Wizzy and threatened to beat someone up with a baseball bat if they didn't put him in the game somewhere.
While the 6 month skip is something most of us would've loved to play through, you have to absolutely commend the technical prowess on display. In a matter of milliseconds it loads the next scene, seamlessly from outside in Night City to inside buildings to outside to inside, loading new people, new props, cars etc. It's genuinely incredible how they were able to pull that off, even some games taking advantage of the PS5's faster storage still don't manage such seamless scene transitions without major pop in
The intros are basically Night City from below, from the outside, and from above. Streetkid V had been away from NC proper by being elsewhere, but this V has also been away from it without actually leaving. So this corpo V is both more plugged into the world, but also as removed from it as, say, Nomad V. Having corpo V already be friends with someone like Jackie rather than, say, meet him to do some deal, is kinda the most incongruous of the three for this reason. Either way you start back out at the bottom of course, and each background leads to a few “wouldn’t V be familiar with this already?”-moments during the game, just different ones.
This was the origin I chose and after watching the other ones I think it's still my favourite! The pre-existing relationship with Jackie is really good. Although I only played maybe an hour or two after this and then kind of fell off... not really sure why. I'd like to get back into the game so maybe this playthrough will inspire me!

I've actually never seen the Corpo path before, because my first playthrough was Streetkid and second was Nomad. I do also like that we know Jackie already. However, when it comes to you thinking about what choice you like the most, honestly the biggest and most meaningful is your character's voice in my opinion. I like Fem V more personally but both are good for sure. The lifepaths don't really mean much after the prologue, other than offering some unique dialogue here and there. Obviously it can help with roleplaying that you know what background your V came from.
Everyone has their own interests, I think the Corpo route is my favorite. However I also liked your first character best which actually looked like yourself.

I have come to terms with the 6 months later cut. There's plenty more game that makes up for it. BUT I do wish the montage varied a bit depending on lifepath.
So stoked you've decided to stick with both female and corpo V for this playthrough! About the hair - it's funny as you sound like you're joking about the hair being cybernetic implants but that's literally the lore so you're right on! 😆😄

It wouldn't feel great if you had to play half in game year doing random shit for story to progress.
I know I ended up playing through the game three times for each life path. There's times when it comes up again, but I also did it to try three different builds, because they all play very different. My Street V was a bit of an everything in a blender back before the patches, my Corpo V was a netrunner smart pistol gunner with a sniper rifle that homed in and killed anyone in the head with barely any aiming on my part, my nomad V is currently dressed up as JC Denton, but uses the sandevistan to bullet time kill everything and it's just so smooth.
Yeah, I've done four playthroughs and bad bitch corpo V is my personal favorite and headcanon. Male VA is good but love the cornered animal vibe of female V.
I've completed the game with all 3 starts and tried out both genders - neither voice actor was bad but I have to say that the female lines always felt more immersive to me, and corpo agent's added dialogue always felt the most interesting. It's really nice having insight into how they do things, since the whole city seems to be in the palm of their hands.
Regarding shooting during a slide, that's a perk. A lot of the perks are cool extra abilities like that and some add cool extra things, like slowing down time, allowing you to airdash and create earthquakes with your first etc. Edit: Also worth noting you can't redistribute ability points, but you can freely move perks around if you have regrets. So go and have fun.
wardrobe is visual only, inventory equipped clothes are actual items and have stats, wardrobe ones don't. also any clothes you ever picked gona register in wardrobe even if you dropped them immediately
Congrats on your choice. It’s a great one. Looking forward to your playthrough. I’ve only played this game when it first came out, before all the fixes and updates. Really curious to see how the game has improved and changed.
I'm currently on my 3rd Cyberpunk playthrough. But I have even more difficulty choosing in bg3. So much to choose, so much to see, and everything is so different. Decided to do 2-3 playthroughs too.
Perfect timing, just finished your first two episodes. And now my fav one! Damn, a shame you gotta miss on copyrighted music on your first run. That's cruel.
Female V is my personal headcanon, I feel like her voice actress edges out the male va by a tiny bit (male V is good too, but I feel like emotionally female V sells it a bit better) I like all three lifepaths, but for me Streetkid is my favorite, I feel like it makes the most sense why V wants to be a legend in Night City, as they grew up there
In the start of this one you read a shard about the arasaka academy. If you have seen edge runners you will know that the MC (David) his mom literally spends all her money to send David to said academy
Awesome path and gender choice there! Just a few things: remember to scan the environment regularly, you'd be surprised how much you can learn about the world. Try to read absolutely everything, database, shards, but also item descriptions, mission descriptions, emails, messages, internet sites etc... You got no idea how ginormous and expansive the cyberpunk world/lore is. Another point about the wardrobe: what you just put together is your transmog look, no matter what you put on, you'll look just like you look now (can save up to 6 looks). There are surely many more things to mention but another time I guess.
I was kind of skeptical of the Corpo origin since it seems pretty shady when you read the description. But this is actually super cool! I might just do Corpo myself next time I play. Ton of fun as usual mate!
I suggest putting only the iconic (yellow background) weapons into your apartment’s stash. The rarest ones will be displayed on the wall. There’s no use storing clothing and other non-iconic weapons. 99.9% of clothing is purely visual and gives no perks, so you can strip them for crafting components in your backpack. Same with weapons, just equip the strongest ones. Clothing - even if you no longer possess the items in your stash or inventory, you can still equip them in the wardrobe.
I did 10 playthroughs, 1 Streetkid, 1 Nomad, 8 Corpo V's :-D I like it best also for roleplaying reasons. The backstory gives some interesting dialogue options and the contrast to your new life as a merc is great to play with.
Nope! :-D only Cyberpunk... I got in too deep :-D Also joined a TTRPG group, got my V 3D printed and everything... 850 hours in... I... have a problem :-D@@jeminatamminen
I'm not positive but I think the inability to shoot the heads off bodies IS a censorship thing. And the other headless bodies got that way through other mechanics. Bit of inconsistency I guess. Unless it has something to do with the facial rec blocking cyberware, but I don't remember that being a thing on my playthrough. With swords heads went flying a lot in my playthroughs, so we'll see as you progress.
The moment I've heard female V's voice I knew I had to play as her being a man myself. Cherami Leigh did a fantastic job portraying the sassiness of a brazen hot-shot merc!
I hope you will look what mods are out there, some really add to the game. Also I think its best to watch Edgerunners alongside your first playthrough. At least somewhere in the middle of the main plot of the game. The show has some additional lore and vice versa.
First time hearing Fem V voice and it sounds soo good! almost want to restart my Bro V haha. Like always in these games the "fem" hairstyles are so much better too, in my opinion. The hairstyle you went with kinda gives me vibes of default femshep which I love... wish there was, unless I missed it, a ME3 jack style. Curious to see what combat style you'll like the most as all of them sound really fun, especially after the update. I tend to go with either stealthy ranged or mage type classes in games, so a sneaky, silencer wielding netrunner really spoke to me. The couple times I was able to clear an entire building without setting foot inside was just wild to me.
Cyberpunk 2077 is another one of those games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age Inquisition, and Dragon Age II where I feel the female protagonist’s voice actor is superior to the male voice actor (Sorry Mark Meer…)
Never read the 2nd screen on V's desk, but listening to you reading it I was like.... wait a minute that sounds familiar. Keep on playing and you'll find out 🧐🤫🤐
I always love playing my icecold female corpo katana Vs. Cherami's voice acting just nails it for me. Also WTF it's the same car dude as in the other origin. Is it maybe a standard model or did they do it intentionally?
Cherami Leigh's performance as fem V is phenomenal. Keanu Reeves as Silverhand is uh... well... You can definitely tell which of them is the professional voice actor.
The problem with the music in the game is really serious because it makes or breaks many scenes. I would almost recommend that you watch iconic scenes again on RUclips afterwards to see what they would actually be like. Simply because you, well, ruin a lot of scenes for yourself and the immersion. Unfortunately, that's a real shame. So I would really recommend you watch the iconic scenes again afterwards. Or replay it on your own, maybe with a different life path because the male or female V, can actually have a very different story lines.
Can we crowdfund Mapo a japanese pronunciation guide for this playthrough? :D. (And maybe a spanish one, but IIRC he's struggled a lot less with those in the past.)

My Street V was a bit of an everything in a blender back before the patches, my Corpo V was a netrunner smart pistol gunner with a sniper rifle that homed in and killed anyone in the head with barely any aiming on my part, my nomad V is currently dressed up as JC Denton, but uses the sandevistan to bullet time kill everything and it's just so smooth.
im so pumped for mapo first encounter with AS 😅
Yeah, I've done four playthroughs and bad bitch corpo V is my personal favorite and headcanon. Male VA is good but love the cornered animal vibe of female V.
Cornered animal. Couldnt have said it better myself.
The beginning the corpo one gives me Deus Ex (first game) and Deus Ex Human Revolution feelings.
Glad your going with female V
I enjoy her voice alotttt more then the counter part
55:30 first time i've noticed that music in background is "abandon ship" from subnautica
I was giggling at V punching an elevator wall, looking like a complete psycho.
wardrobe is visual only, inventory equipped clothes are actual items and have stats, wardrobe ones don't. also any clothes you ever picked gona register in wardrobe even if you dropped them immediately
Congrats on your choice. It’s a great one. Looking forward to your playthrough. I’ve only played this game when it first came out, before all the fixes and updates. Really curious to see how the game has improved and changed.
Tab is your best friend. It's like pressing v in Dragon Age.
Can't wait for how long this is gonna be lol
I'm currently on my 3rd Cyberpunk playthrough. But I have even more difficulty choosing in bg3. So much to choose, so much to see, and everything is so different. Decided to do 2-3 playthroughs too.
There are a few Detective cyberpunk games I think, of them I've only played Observer, I quite enjoyed that one for the most part.
Perfect timing, just finished your first two episodes. And now my fav one! Damn, a shame you gotta miss on copyrighted music on your first run. That's cruel.
Female V is my personal headcanon, I feel like her voice actress edges out the male va by a tiny bit (male V is good too, but I feel like emotionally female V sells it a bit better)
I like all three lifepaths, but for me Streetkid is my favorite, I feel like it makes the most sense why V wants to be a legend in Night City, as they grew up there
I disagree, I think that male V delivers the lines much more realistically, compared to video-gamey-anime tone female V has.
@@Kolket1389idk what you're on about, fem V's voice isn't over the top by any means, actual people do speak like that
@@jeminatamminen disagree
suggestion for a next blind playthrough: The Invincible (based on a novel by Stanisław Lem, who also wrote Solaris)
In the start of this one you read a shard about the arasaka academy. If you have seen edge runners you will know that the MC (David) his mom literally spends all her money to send David to said academy
Gaming doesn't cause violence.
Gamer: Wow, you can fuck up their bodies, after thy're dead. 😆
Corpo lifepath has that eerie music from the get-go
Netrunner corpo V I think you'll love this path the most
I was kind of skeptical of the Corpo origin since it seems pretty shady when you read the description. But this is actually super cool! I might just do Corpo myself next time I play. Ton of fun as usual mate!
Don't worry, choom! Shooting while sliding is a skill you can unlock. Just gotta invest those perks wisely.
finally you try my fav origin, the corpo "Femme Fatale" V
i wish you will play as female V as you did in mass effect. So much more emotions
The backstory gives some interesting dialogue options and the contrast to your new life as a merc is great to play with.
i get a couple of playthroughs but jeez 10 is next level 😂 have you even played anything else for the past 3 years
Nope! :-D only Cyberpunk... I got in too deep :-D Also joined a TTRPG group, got my V 3D printed and everything... 850 hours in... I... have a problem :-D@@jeminatamminen
Subnautica end credits music... good choice. 👍
I heard Corpo Female is fan favorite! Can't wait for this playthrough!
think there is a skill for sliding and shooting if I remember right not played the agile skills in a long while and a slow motion thing
35:00 That game is called "Observer", a Horror Game.^^
The hairstyles are the same for male and female :')
55:46 I feel a Stanfield comparison coming on
You don't need to put clothes in the storage, as soon as you collect it, it's in the wardrobe.
I know im late, but i remember reading Corpo V is also from Haywood
I thought Keanu did great, especially in the dlc
Keanu's performance is excellent, tf do you mean
I'm sorry, did you add on music from Subnautica when you got to Lizzies?! Awesome if you did (or it leaked in from somewhere!)
i feel like a lot of those hairstyles were added with the dlc? i dont recognize any of them lol
aren't the nomad and corpo lifepaths where you become a streetkid so cool?
