@@tomsawyer7230 I think the point you are missing is that Paragon went into this as it was new content, also with a limited amount of pulls (20 I believe) before the boss would despawn. People on private servers don't have to figure out any strategies or learn the fight since it's more than 10 years old and there is an amplitude of information already

But if you play the mechanics correctly p1-p2, and manage to cheese the tank debuffs in p3 with hunter taunts etc. and have the dps its a fairly easy fight on unbuffed values. The fact they only needed so few attempts (idk how many they did with alts/ptr) to figure out how to do and execute it perfectly is ofc incredible even by todays standards.

@TriceRiel while this is true, i feel that it takes away some of your attention to have to stare at your bars to judge the cooldown remaining on a skill or the little tiny dot timer debuff box on the target. i do not think addons help significantly with raid awareness in the regard you think im referring to, but that addons allow you to pay more attention to whats going on rather than the technical details
Paragon still king in my book. I remember doing 25m the first week and winning 3 pally tank tokens and getting the 4th token the following week. I was best prot belf pally on Argent dawn for about 6 weeks.
Aswell as the double ooze on phase transition there is the " unbound plauge " mechanic implimented with the hardmode which requires good coordination to counter.
Must have been insane back then to play vanilla, tbc, and finally ending the Warcraft 3 lore with killing the lich king. I feel immense amounts of nostalgia about something I didn’t play back then 😅
@fuzzylogic11 no it wasn't the rogue has 2 chat windows, 1 for whispers and one of everything else, so you don't see it but there are alot more achievement pings hidden.

Their positioning and target switching is still great though, showing they were still good players. The throughput of that time was just that much lower.
Idk, i just watched 3 different putricide kills on youtube from classic wotlk, the burst dps at the start is almost the same in all of them, as the dps shown in this video. However all 3 classic povs had a higher overall dps at the end, but not by more than 1-1.5k - I reckon that is also because people had better gear in those videos, considering this was a world first kill with few pulls to optimize.
oh so he just binds his buttons to like 1 for ss and 2 for evi and hides the bar behind something or sets it to auto hide (if its BT which i think it is) and his SnD is 3 etc
the reason they didn't publish the LK 25hc vid a few weeks after the first kill. was because the 2 guild to kill him asked them not to. proberly so people wouldn't get help from they're vid to defeat him.

Omen is for hand of salvation ... bop... lol You can also turn on righteous fury for 6% reduced damage taken and will need to watch threat on omen just in case.

@davidvanrooy, imp. RF gives you 6% mitigation from damage taken. On fights with no adds or agro resets it is pretty handy.

p3 pre-nerf was a nightmare, go hardcore, pray nobody gets hit / cast debuff and pray to kill it before someone with tanking stacks dies

@kings1936 if you put it on hd and watch closely you can see they are all doing about 10k dps and the rogue and mage are doing about 13k
