Hey RUclipsrs! If you want some more views on your RUclips channel then try out TubeBuddy! I've used it for over a year and it's been one of the drvining factors behind my RUclips channel's growth. www.TubeBuddy.com/LTN
I think that the thing that I liked the most about Valhalla, was the fact that no matter how many times you and your team died, you always had the determination to take the middle hill. There was just something about the hill that seemed so rewarding if you were to hold it from the enemy
Dude! Yes! You must control the high ground! With good teamwork, holding the hill is victory. The side areas are just tools to use in the quest for the hill! Lol
Ahaha I always lingered around the turret side of the map myself, good sights on on coming enemy and good view of the centre, basically more of a recon role... probably why I always opt for the Sniper / assassin class in any game that allows the play style, but who knows 😂
At the public library where I live, they hold a video game session every month (pizza and mountain dew included) in one of the spare rooms, I bring two copies of halo 3 (cause LAN party) The place is filled with the sound of war from Valhalla Or everyone laughing during a round of rockets on Guardian
I fell out of the halo circle 4 or 5 years ago. When I found your channel I instantly remembered why I fell in love with halo in the first place. Thank you so much for the nostalgia and all the videos
The reason I loved Halo 4's Ragnarok so much was because of how chaotically fun the matches were, people jetpacking , grenades left right and center, banshees and the Mantises at the same time yet personally it never felt out of control or annoying, I found it extremely fun that people weren't always just moving in a straight line towards you, you had to look up and and down alot, kinda added variety for me...
It's worth mentioning the missle pods are vital to keep the banshees from being over powered. Back when a laser was the only option, having a missle pod on each base was a great design attribute.
When you spun such a heartfelt video into a maximum sellout commercial at around the 2 minute mark, it was one of the most hilarious things I have seen in a while. I miss the Halo universe though. I never did make it to level 50, though I feel like I could have easily done so.
Bro, Luke has gotten so many more subs now than ever before, I think he cokes up before videos now because in this video he's much more calm and cool and in his most recent video about Halo he's all over the place and his eyes look straight gross lol
Have yet to own a Halo game, and even I remember this map. Also, kinda trippy to see LTN was only at 100k subscribers just a year and a half ago. At time of this post, he's at 1.34m. Congrats man.
I rarely comment on videos that I like, but Valhalla was was my favorite map in Halo's history! I was young when I first played it's scenery, but even today I could recall every detail of it. It was my source of valid camaraderie and influence of my love for Halo, even today...14 years later! :)
I loved halo 3 but i was never able to actually play it cause I was a pore little black kid who didn't have or afford a god forsaken X-box those bastards. but the times I did play at my friend's house was great. wish I could play it again
The first Halo I ever played was Halo 3, but hey, I was 7 years old. I actually beat Halo 3 on Legendary Solo on my own when I was 8, and it took me about only a month of summer. I couldn’t matchmake due to a lack of Xbox Live Gold, so I stayed in Custom Games and Forge. Then I discovered Valhalla. This map undoubtedly was and still is my favorite Halo map of all time. You’re right, just SOMETHING about it just clicked and made me love it. I’m now nearly 16 now, and I can’t believe this franchise has been around for so long, and been so great all along. You know, until 343 Industries came along and pulled a Halo 4 on everything and sent Halo to Hell feetfirst. I guess 343 thought that the Silver visor color description from Halo Reach was referring to the franchise that they should make crowd Hell.
I love this map, but my personal favorite Halo 3 map (and favorite Halo map overall) is Santrap. It'd be great if you made a video on it like this one.
When I think of Valhalla I think of the good old days. But one memory that does come to mind is in one of the vidoc videos. Back when they were advertising for Halo 3. In particularly when the bungie employees were testing the map. One guy is getting gunned down by a warthog but at the last second right before getting splattered he deploys a trip mine killing himself and the warthog. The way he jumps out his chair with such excitement and thrill is embedded in my brain.
Great video man! Valhalla and Guardian was no doubt my two favorite maps in Halo 3. It was like they were tailor-made for most of the game modes in matchmaking. Do you think you will make a video about guardian as well in the future? I can't be the only one that constantly picked Guardian over anything else!
Back then when I was around 10, I played halo 3 campaign so many times because I loved the game and at the time I didn't have xbox live, so I'd go on forge and play Valhalla and other maps. I play around and just build random things. To this day, Reach and halo 3 are and will always be my favorite halo.
I never had a chance to play Halo online until MCC in December, but I still spend some nice good time on split screen with my friend. Also took some time to modify it. It was the third most favourite map, the second was the sand trap (? You know the one with mammoths), and first being the High Ground (one with openable gate and only one big base)
Me and my best friend use to stay up all weekend playing halo 3 back in the day. He passed away last august😳 what i would give to have one more day with you bro R.I.P. Codey. I love you.
So many great memories from this map. Thanks for breaking down why you believe it's great. Would be cool to see a direct like-for-like comparison of Valhalla and its remakes.
Back in the day when my brother and I were kids, we'd go on this map and just 1v1 snipers. It was just so much fun. I tried making a bunch of platforming maps in forge on valahalla using the man Cannon's. I never the map, but it was fun messing around in forge on Valhalla
Valhalla was the first map I played on with my cousins, who were the main ones to get me into Halo 3. Still my favorite despite us falling out of touch.
My best memory of Valhalla was playing at my friend's place on local split screen and going 3-0 in a game of capture the flag with only me on my team and 3 of my friends trying to kill me. Was awesome.
Great Material Man, wondering if you could do a Call Out video. I’ve recently been playing Halo 5 and made tons of new clicks with other gamers and their fireteam. Coming from solo cueing, you realize how essential making good calls as a team is required to have an advantage over a team. Wondering if you could make a video on improving communication towards your teammates
Valhalla. Where to begin? The map that made me love Halo Multiplayer. That map that made me want to play the game more. The map that I introduced friends to. The map that made it so I could love more, than just the story of Halo. I owe all of my multiplayer career to Valhalla. I owe Valhalla and Bungie, for making it, my biggest thanks, for making me, a part of the Halo Community. Also, prenerf Valhalla with Fusion-Coil Flag caps...those where the days.
I have the master chief collection on my Xbox but don't really have the time to find games on my favourite halo maps. Would love to see a couple of videos where you play through just a few each episode of your favourite classic halo maps.
I'm not a Halo PLAYER myself, though I am deeply in love with the lore and the books. Personally, I love the way in which the Web series RED vs BLUE uses Halo maps effectively (Including Valhalla) and yet feels original at the same time. Having seen this video, I was able to recognise many memorable spots from Seasons 6-10, and yet Rooster Teeth was able to make use of ALL OF IT.
The best part about Valhalla in H3 was the mad rush for the Spartan Laser at the top of the hill! The team that controlled the hill there was usually the team in the lead, too. Great map.
I feel that Valhalla has a leg up over Blood Gulch (Hang me if you like), because it's layout allows for more diverse combat than BG did. A big reason I think Halo's Multiplayer maps are so gosh-darn fun is because they offer you a plethora of options when going into battle. Using Valhalla as an example, you can go sneaky and follow the ridge to the left (from the shoreline base), you could live life on the edge and go across the open ground to the right, or you could charge right down the middle. This tri-option layout is actually a backbone of many medium-sized Halo maps. In BG there were two primary ways to play, you either stayed at the base and sniped your enemy or you charged across the field (I hardly if ever see anyone fight along the cliffs).
I've always loved using the man-cannons to propell myself, as I would headshot my brothers while passing by... oh, the times those were. great video luke!
Wth what this recommended 2 years later after this was made when you had 100 00 subs P.s wow 2 years ago you had 100 000 subs? You channle has grown well your channel will never die like halo.
Sandtrap, Blood Gulch, Guardian, The Pit, High Ground, Hang 'Em High, Last Resort, Snowbound (yes I liked Snowbound), Epitaph, Lockout, Warlock, Construct, Narrows, Isolation, Sidewinder, that's just off the top of my head. Halo has great maps. EDIT: The Spire, Sword Base, Countdown, Haven, Adrift, Abandon, and Exile were all great too. However, Halo Reach deluded it's maps. And I think Halo 4 did too. SECOND EDIT: HOW DID I FORGET IVORY TOWER AAAAAAGGGHHHH
My first halo game was Reach, so Ragnarok was my first taste of Valhalla, and it was so fucking fun. Every game, I made sure to at least once load a Mongoose into the man cannon and launch myself halfway across the map. I think on some variants of big team battle on halo 4, you didn't have access to custom loadouts, so you had to be a bit more creative with mobility, and those matches were definitely a lot more fun.
I honestly have to agree. Most of my fondest online memories of Halo in general are from playing Halo 3 Online and the best of the best was Valhalla. No matter what the game type was I enjoyed it (even capture the flag).
Yeah there isn’t one thing I could say which makes Valhalla great, it’s like many of the classic halo maps, you don’t need a reason to love it, you just do and you know it’s beauty❤️ gosh I miss the old days with couch tournaments and custom games on the old halo’s😕
Regarding awesome sight line breakups and a fantastic "big map with two bases" I think Timberland is my fave. But because it was Halo PC it never had the popularity that H3 had w/ Valhalla. Both are great maps though. I'm so glad Timberland is in the MCC and I wish it was played more!

Luke TheNotable hey luke
Luke TheNotable love you're vids
Do people still play mcc
yeah but are the playlists well populated

Valhalla was great because it was basically modeled after Blood gulch. Which we all love. Sunrise, Sunset!
Didn’t expect to see you here
I don’t like it as much as Blood Gulch.
Yooooo it’s Roanoke
I think that the thing that I liked the most about Valhalla, was the fact that no matter how many times you and your team died, you always had the determination to take the middle hill. There was just something about the hill that seemed so rewarding if you were to hold it from the enemy
Maybe that was the case for YOU. I always thought it was far more safe and productive to hold the sides.
Daniac Ikr
Dude!
Definition of Halo 3 is Valhalla, Pit, and Gaurdian
This man isn't wrong
don't forget Sandtrap, loved that map
but Sandtrap tho
Beyond What about Last Resort? ;o
Construct and Narrows are up there for me too
Valhalla has always been one of my favorite maps because of its sort of "Fort War" feel.
Here’s a drinking game: Drink when ever Luke says Valhalla
Halo Doggo Id rather not did of alchohol poisoning.
Halo Doggo "Ball-Halla"?

I loved it in Halo 2 but not in Halo 3, don't ask me why ^^'
I Like how the thumbnail has a futuristic raider from For Honor in it
SSJ4 Gogeta Only just noticed that.
SSJ4 Gogeta RAIDERRRRR
VALHALLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
LEGENDARY
Luke predicted the future MCC armors with the thumbnail for this video.

Man, your videos really bring me back to my Halo days. Good work man, this is awesome.
Great video as always Luke, Tubebuddy is great
Snowy mountains and waterfalls actually make a lot of sense. You can see examples of that in the real world.
Office Dullard whether it makes sense is more a matter of opinion but yes it is a real world occurrence
blood glutch is fav map
Jonathan Pirolo you didn't even spell it right...
Jonathan Pirolo Valhalla is a bloodgultch remake dude
You gave me so much nostalgia that I had to sub. Great video dude! Can't wait to see more.
Congrats on 100k!!! Been here since late 2016 and I’m happy for your success!!

Soooo many memories on this beautiful map, Urgh. I feel old lol. Nice video man, really touched me in the feels
Just found ur channel and really enjoyed this. I remember playing the heavy version of this map all the time in custom games.
Everything, the beauty, the vehicles, launch pads weapon spots etc... my favorite halo map, no question!
My best friend and I spent a lot of time on Valhalla whenever we weren't in matchmaking. It's just an amazing space to fuck around in.
I rarely comment on videos that I like, but Valhalla was was my favorite map in Halo's history! I was young when I first played it's scenery, but even today I could recall every detail of it. It was my source of valid camaraderie and influence of my love for Halo, even today...14 years later! :)

Spent a huge chunk of my Roblox hours on trying to replicate Valhalla while the Halo 2 theme played on loop
The best part about Valhalla in H3 was the mad rush for the Spartan Laser at the top of the hill! The team that controlled the hill there was usually the team in the lead, too. Great map.
Man, this video made me really want to play *Valhalla* now.
Thank you Notable one.
I feel that Valhalla has a leg up over Blood Gulch (Hang me if you like), because it's layout allows for more diverse combat than BG did. Valhalla was always my favorite map; Team Slayer with the vehicle combat and power weapons, and map control, oh boy, what a classic.
Sandtrap, Blood Gulch, Guardian, The Pit, High Ground, Hang 'Em High, Last Resort, Snowbound (yes I liked Snowbound), Epitaph, Lockout, Warlock, Construct, Narrows, Isolation, Sidewinder,
that's just off the top of my head. Halo has great maps.
EDIT: The Spire, Sword Base, Countdown, Haven, Adrift, Abandon, and Exile were all great too. However, Halo Reach deluded it's maps. And I think Halo 4 did too.

10 fucking years. Holy shit. I've been watching your channel for almost 5.
Playing CTF on Valhalla is one of my favorites next to CTF on Blood Gulch.
I love flying in the towing canons
My first halo game was Reach, so Ragnarok was my first taste of Valhalla, and it was so fucking fun. Every game, I made sure to at least once load a Mongoose into the man cannon and launch myself halfway across the map. I think on some variants of big team battle on halo 4, you didn't have access to custom loadouts, so you had to be a bit more creative with mobility, and those matches were definitely a lot more fun.
I love the Valhalla in Halo 4 more than the Halo 3 because I like the Sprint. Keep up the awesome videos!
This explains why you kept doing solo customs on this map. I figured you were doing something like this, this just confirms it.
My favourite thing about this map, is the balance. Each side has basicly the same weapons, and is largley based on skill
Love the map always been a childhood favorite alongside Blood Gulch
Ya man one of my favs... lockout ascension then valhalla. My three fav maps in halo history
Ragnarok was one of the maps on BTB Slayer that I had my highest kill count in a Mantis on Halo 4 back in the Xbox 360 days. 33-0. It was a glorious
I honestly have to agree. Most of my fondest online memories of Halo in general are from playing Halo 3 Online and the best of the best was Valhalla. No matter what the game type was I enjoyed it (even capture the flag).
Crazy warthog runs on split screen w/ my bro n friend. Gotta miss those days :(

I love it cuz of the amount of cover, vehicles and the over all flow
my first halo multiplayer experience was on valhalla. that is why it is special to me.
Yeah there isn’t one thing I could say which makes Valhalla great, it’s like many of the classic halo maps, you don’t need a reason to love it, you just do and you know it’s beauty❤️ gosh I miss the old days with couch tournaments and custom games on the old halo’s😕
