It takes guts to get such an interview especially when the USA government deems Putin as the enemy. At the end of the day it's only an interview. But is does appear to suggest the west is splitting.
It's splited already between the population and the "elites", the rise in populism in the west is a clear sign of deconnection between these two groups.
