14:40 - the snow level and falling blocks of ice are based on the TMNT chartoon episode where the rock soldiers unleashed a weather control device and set it to "total chaos". (Oddly enough, the device also has a setting for "mild showers.") It causes NYC to slip into winter, and large ice blocks to fall from the sky. The turtles destroy it after beating the end boss. (Fun fact: that end boss was designed by one of the two TMNT creators.) I personally liked that level. The other bonus level, I did not like.
I personally feel like he had to come up with something for entertainment about TMNT2. However, it isn't a bad game and the new levels/bosses was a nice feature. Overall, the TMNT franchise was well done in the video game era with the exception of that first NES title.
Yep, there was an episode with a whether modifier - S01E04 Friends from X-dimension (kid Neutrinos). Whether satellite was Lord Crang's secret invention and was launched by Stone Soldier who came from X-dimension. There was no boss because turtles shoot down the satellite in one of the Neutrino's flying cars. To be honest as a kid with all that rich imagination I didn't care at all that didn't match cartoon series. We as a kids played this game for such a long time before we managed to beat Shredder. Probably best in game music on NES. TNMT2 was master piece back then. Thanks god I didn't know there was arcade version. This saved me a lot of money!
Rob Paulson. Great voice actor. Did so many iconic characters. Raphael, Pinky from Pinky and the Brain (it almost seems that his normal speaking voice is Pinky’s) and many more. Can you guys imagine if he instead reviewed TMNT: Hyperstone Heist for the Genesis? I can just hear Bores going, "Does this live up to the Hyperstone Hype? Let's find out."
I think I liked the NES port of TMNT Arcade out of pure STUBBORNNESS. I couldn't afford to spend all my lunch money on the arcade game every week, and the NES version was SO FRIKKIN' HARD... I was DETERMINED to get thru it. I learned codes, I read magazines, I talked strategies with other kids on the playground. TMNT 2: The Arcade Game was more of an interactive experience than simply the game itself. Yeah, the downgrade in graphics was disappointing, but the limit to 2 players was okay because it was just me and my little brother anyway. Eventually, we crushed that game and it was such a high, until TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project arrived. Then we got to do it all over again. Awesome seeing Rob Paulsen as a guest! Great video, brought back lots of memories!
Guess I was special.. I BEGGED my parents for the first TMNT game for Christmas believing it was the arcade game (I was 6)..i got it for Christmas and my parents where so happy to see me get it.. We finished up for the night (Norway we celebrate on Christmas eve) so I got to go to my room and play for bit.. It took me about 60 seconds to realise how big of a mistake it was.. I hated the look and the gameplay, but I knew since I had taken it out of the plastic we couldn't bring it back.. I just had to swallow my disappointment and tell them how greatfull I was.. I never even got to own 2, 3 or turtles in time later on 🤣
As much as 2012 Turtles is my all-time favorite iteration, Rob Paulsen's Raphael is my favorite version of my favorite Turtle. 1987 Raphael was radically different from all other depictions of the character, but that served to make his take unique.
Great video Chris. Actually, the snow level of the nes arcade port is based on a cartoon episode, when the turtles had to save NY from that weather changing device.
I was a huge fan of TMNT but the series I grew up known first was the 2003 series which was actually better since it gave them more unique personalities and changed a lot of things around that made it even better.

Loved that cartoon. It was on Genesis and Super Nintendo also.
@@deezy81 The game is pretty good. Just takes some time to get used to.
Great episode man! Keep em coming!
this was good :P you hitting on NC again XD
This is a smart way to use that cameo app
Came here for rob Paulsen lol . But while i was here I remembered back in the day glad your still around irate
I BEGGED my parents for the first TMNT game for Christmas believing it was the arcade game
(I was 6)..i got it for Christmas and my parents where so happy to see me get it..
1987 Raphael was radically different from all other depictions of the character, but that served to make his take unique.
awww man the nostalgia just kicked in hearing Rob's voice
Rob Paulson looks like the Archfiend! What a coincidence!!
I like the "inspired by AVGN" in the intros! ❤
Can't wait for your version of "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties" for the 3DO... 😂
"Dear Santa, I want this shit for Christmas"
Oh hey, IG's a Lefty.
Not only was Rob Paulsen Raphael in the original, but he was also Donatello in the nick series. The first nick series and not Rise of the TMNT
Oh heck yeah! Keep em coming man!
Love the review dude! Turtles 2 the arcade game on nes is def in my top ten nes games
Wonder when you’ll be uploading the entire second season of the show like you did with the first one, Chris. Keep it up my man
I love the Donny Character in the 2012 TMNT Series. The chemistry of Don and Mike was awesome!
Please tell me I’m not the only one who still remembers Joe Camel... lol
I do! That reference was hilarious!
Nice review again chris 🙂 really liked your intro also ...
Yes, I used to hate you but you have definitely grown on me. Keep up the great work dude.
You did those games justice
many thanks for the awesome comment!
Chris NEO - The IRATE Gamer your welcome dude. Also, seeing you and James do a video TOGETHER? That just seemed so surreal. He should have you be apart of one of his videos.
That was a awesome intro irate gamer even Paul Robertson voice of raphelle from the teenage mutant ninja turtles cartoon character it was awesome
Buen trabajo Chris ! 😊👍🏼
Welcome back Irate Gamer, you were missed.
Amazing job Chris, you are the man
Great job on this video! :) I watched you many eons ago lol
Chris must have a huge pile of stuff just to his right that he's always angrily throwing. Great Review!
Great video, Chris.
Chris is a class act putting "Inspired By AVGN" at the beginning. Irate Gamer is an entertaining series in its own right and I've really been enjoying the content!
Only because people kept on accusing the poor guy of ripping off AVGN when James straight up said he was flattered by all of the people doing the similar thing in a video where he answered questions from his fans.
